I’m a fleet manager at an EV fleet management company.

What challenge were you trying to address with BPnP?

We needed a company that could provide us with managed IT support and help us develop a GPS-controlled system.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We hired BPnP to develop a system that allows us to manage and control our fleets using GPS. The solution can remotely stop a car, open its doors, and access information such as the car’s speed and battery level. This solution serves as a security measure for us and our customers.

Aside from that, BPnP has also developed a system that helps us manage our rental car services. The solution allows us to leave our cars anywhere in town, and if someone wants to rent one, they just have to enroll on our website and pay. After payment, they can open the car and drive it. The team has also created a billing system that automatically calculates the price based on the distance driven.

BPnP has used open-source software to build the systems. They will also provide maintenance support because they own the servers. They also are currently helping us start PPC marketing campaigns with Google and set up business targets.

I worked with them around 10 years ago on another project.

I’ve spent around €50,000 (Approximately $53,000 USD) so far.

We started working together in May 2012, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re highly impressed with the quality of BPnP’s work. Back when we were still using our previous fleet management tools, we experienced downtimes at least once per week. Now, we’ve gone two months without experiencing any problems with our new fleet management software.

How did BPnP perform from a project management standpoint?

BPnP has performed well in terms of project management. They deliver on time and within budget. We have biweekly meetings.

We’re impressed with BPnP’s strong understanding of our business and excellent project management processes. They’ve also provided valuable insights that have influenced our goals and helped us understand our business better.

No, but they can do more things if they can present a better portfolio.

I worked with two people. One was the designer, and the other was an IT developer.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The site tripled the number of organic visitors in les than a quarter, the rank of key words were in top 10 in less than a month.

It was easy to communicate with them, we had a group, and every meeting was held as we planned in advanced (once a week).

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

There were couple of brilliant engineering solutions. For example, a better way to secure a form, than with captcha (faster).

I really don't know what to answer here. They helped us with much more than a technical solution. They understood fast the business, and first, they give us business consultancy as well as the technical solution.

Well, there were a lot of steps. To move from a regular website that rent cars, to a marketplace that has a lot of information regarding fleet management that integrates gps and can-controlers, insert direct control with all the cars, functionality etc. It's been a crazy process and still going...

4 people - project manager that we were in direct connection, 2 programmers and 1 technical engineer

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have just launched it. We are in marketing - promotion process and just have received a positive feed-back.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Pretty good, but a lot of steps in this process that is still going.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their effort in such a short time, even though we couldn't figure out that the volume for all the details was so big.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There are a lot of details with gps and can controllers that are implemented with this supplier and some of these specs are in working process even for them (like opening doors to some car models - the explanation was that the cars are too new and they didn't develop all the commands to their equipments), that postponed a little bit the launching term. We tried a lot of solutions and to some cars we are not 100% functional. I don't think that fasting this process could be done better with BPnP.

I'am the General Manager of the DOOH Media Production, with activities in advertising, marketing and media.

We started the collaboration with BPnP in order to build a software that can manage more than 200 digital displays installed in private hospitals, clinics and chains of pharmacies.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We searched for technical skills in order to provide from scratch solution. Also, we needed someone to make the R&D for us.

The project was divided into client management, location management, video management and distribution, reports and real-time statuses about the functionality of whole system (online/offline real situation into location) functionalities. The system is developed based on PHP and Firebird on server side and Android system on the client side for playing videos and communication with server. RabbitMQ was used for middleware message queue processing system.

During the process, we have worked with the Project Manager, and with the technician.

After the implementation of the software, we were able to manage efficiently the media content and the technical maintenance. For all these activities we allocated only one person for over 200 locations.

We communicated a lot with the team through face to face meeting and Teams; from the start we established milestones for the project and we had a flawless execution.

We wanted to build an internal application to make our work easier in the projects we carry out, in relation to our suppliers.

We chose the company BPnP due to the experience of their team that has worked for a long time in the field of business applications.

The project consisted of the definition of relationships with suppliers (companies, orders and invoices) to which we added a BPM (Business Process Modeling) module. The phases were delivered quickly because BPnP already had internally developed modules and we just customized the solution together. The technology used to build the application is web (client-server), through a proprietary BPnP framework.
