Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

The project was a complete re-design and development of our old Wordpress website onto a customize tech stack. We have hundreds of orders per day with a diverse set of businesses and product lines, including complex endeavors such as syncing inventory live between retail brick and mortar and our website.

Dozens of other functionality deliverables were critical to improve the customer experience and allow us to convert more sales. Most importantly we exited the plug-in, error prone world of Wordpress for a set of connected applications that allow us to have total control over site performance, functionality, future enhancements, and customer behavior reporting.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Bluecap was extremely responsive and engaged every step of the way. The project management tools were very useful in our planning. I believe the timeframe took too long due to a joint decision to not allocated dedicated resources from some outside partners - which was a good lesson learned. Better to invest and shorten the time than to elongate it.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The leadership of the firm is made up of two brothers, each with a complementary, but different set of skills. They are each able to contribute uniquely to the digital strategy and execution.

They have a great internal team, but maybe more importantly, they have the right external relationships at the top-levels of supporting technical firms. That ensured that their projects got the appropriate senior visibility for development and ongoing support. The ecosystem of relationships led by the Bluecap owners who have high integrity is a great combination.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Bluecap could have done differently?

More design reviews early in the process once the technical resources have gotten their bearings would be helpful.

I'm the Head of Growth for a B2B free Slack App. I lead all growth strategy and execution.

For what projects/services did your company hire Bluecap, and what were your goals?

We hired Bluecap to implement an exit intent popup, both mobile and desktop devices, inside Webflow. Our goal was to increase capture more abandoning traffic to increase volume of signups.

SOLUTION

How did you select Bluecap and what were the deciding factors?

We found Bluecap through posting our Webflow project across several platforms (Webflow directory, Upwork, etc.). Deciding factors included price, communication expectations, expertise with Webflow, and the people.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

From a Figma file, they implemented in Webflow a responsive exit-intent popup for both mobile and desktop devices. Additionally, they added in a time-delay via cookies and were able to adjust for several different device sizes. Custom code was used in this project.

How many people from the Bluecap team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I worked with one point of contact - Eric. Aaron was CC'd on all communication but wasn't needed.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We were able to launch the exit intent popups (desktop + mobile) in a relatively short amount of time. We are working on launching CRO tests for both versions to track performance/effectiveness. Everything was delivered on time with minimal amounts of revisions.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

One point-of-contact. Very responsive and receptive to our timeline. We used email and only email to communicate. I did have one urgent request and was able to text, and received an instant reply.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The most impressive thing about BlueCap is the team. They are the type of people you wished you got to work with on every project. They are honest, provide meaningful feedback, deliver quality work, and are downright fun people. Especially with all the GIFs.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Even being really nit-picky I don't have any areas of improvement. Maybe send more GIFs in their email communication. ;)
