BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the owner of an accounting office. We serve small to middle sized companies with complete accounting, tax, HR support.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Blues Brackets, and what were your goals?

We didn't have a proper website for our company. It is very important to be present in the internet these days. We hired Blues Brackets to design, implement and deploy modern website, backed by CMS system. We want to gain new customers via this channel this year. Other goal was to publish news and updates for existing customers on the website.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We interviewed number of local software companies, including Blues Brackets. As it tuned out Tomasz from Blues Brackets had professional, yet very friendly and understanding approach. The team impressed us with experience with modern technologies unlike some local companies. The price estimate was encouraging too.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We had an initial meeting with product manager, who gathered our requirements and explained what and how can be done. We created an outline of our project. Next step were workshops with a designer. With a lot of friendly guidance with picked colors, fonts and layout. It was particularly helpful since we didn't realize how hard it is to create aesthetic webpage.

When we approved the design, the development started. We had a zoom call every two days. Our website was online way ahead of schedule, as soon as the minimal set of features was done. We were asked for feedback early and it was promptly applied. The choice of technology was up to Blues Brackets. Everything they used is opensource and doesn't require a license, which is very convenient.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We had direct contact with a product manager Tomasz and a talented graphic designer. We don't know how big was the team working on implementation.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

During the first month of our website online we got 10 new leads through the online form. Some of our existing customers stopped calling us on the phone to access the information, they prefer to use the website now. This is a big time saver for our employees. Customers find the website very pleasing and they mention it on the meetings.

We had a short update call every two days. There were some new features almost every time we met. We were asked for feedback for a previous set of tasks and it was promptly implemented. We communicated via phone and Zoom.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We are impressed with how fast the website is. It look modern. It scales great for all kind of devices. The team was very professional and flexible, and they never said that something cannot be done. We loved how they could implement fixes in the matter of minutes!

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There were couple of typos on the website, which they missed and we had to point them out. It was fixed very fast and they admitted it was their mistake. It wasn't a big deal.
