SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Initial contact between between Plexxis co-founder and Bluedot owner was made in 2020. Given the strength of a single reference, coupled with an urgent need to rebuild our corporate site and a series of direct discussions around project management and capabilities, Plexxis moved forward with Bluedot on an accelerated timetable. The single most influential deciding factor was the credibility, candour and no nonsense character of one of the co-owners (Michael Minardi) with whom I worked personally and very closely. Michael gained my confidence very early on by (a) adding value to the initial project (e.g. recommendations that has not been considered in the project scope) and delivering exactly on promises

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

1. Build our corporate website > This was our initial project with Bluedot. The prior website had been professionally designed BUT the programming was a disaster. > We had requested that Bluedot rebuild the site using as much of the prior work as possible. Bluedot, upon examining the code strongly advised that this was the incorrect approach given the poor quality of the code. Notwithstanding our need to accelerate the relaunch, we took Bluedot's advice and the site was rebuilt from the ground up
2. Build independent careers website - 2 Phases PHASE 1 > As above, this was another rebuild > Additionally connect the site with complete link transparency to the 3rd party HR site where candidates could apply directly for available Plexxis position PHASE 2 > Working collaboratively with Plexxis, Bluedot is in progress of building an entirely new careers website. As I've come to expect, the progress to date is on-time and the quality is excpetional
3. Build highly complex interactive, web based product life cycle > Secured website by invitation only > Site provides visitors deep exploration of all Plexxis products, solutions, features and benefits - all supported by Videos > Built-in log of all visitors with detailed reporting of who, when, duration of visit, specific functions, features and benefits that were visited, videos watched etc - providing Plexxis Sales team with extraordinary insight and follow-up background information
4. Build on-line training course on behalf of Plexxis Sales team. Interactive, video content > Fully custom built website offering training to both Plexxis employees , customers, prospects and professional associations > self-guided learning supported by video content curated between Plexxis and Bluedot
5. New Plexxis HO Lease Site > Design and build standalone website to promote and market lease space available at new B.C. based Plexxis HO
6. Social Media > Plexxis participation in social media was nominal. Content design was inconsistent. > Working collaboratively with Bluedot, we completely re hauled our social media presence. Bluedot manages this on behalf of Plexxis

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I worked almost exclusively with Michael Minardi but, when appropriate, brought in his social media, project management and web development team members.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

All projects completed (and currently in progress) are of excellent quality. The working relationship between members of the Plexxis team and Bluedot reflects the very best example of a truly collaborative and close strategic partnership. As background, I've led and had the privilege of working with several global, works-class companies in the same space occupied by Bluedot. I would rank Buedot's output, processes, people, integrity, and overall character with the very best - anywhere

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Bluedot took full control and accountability of every project undertaken on our behalf on a very personal level. Frequent meetings/calls ensured that no project EVER went off the rails - allowing both Bluedot and Plexxis to make appropriate course adjustments as projects progressed. Communications were/are frequent but not cumbersome. Projects are delivered on time.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

As noted above. I would only add that I've NEVER reached out to Bluedot and waited more than 24 hours to get a reply. In the large majority of cases, I would receive a response in in minutes are a couple hours. This alone is unusual but add to this, the direct and personal sense of accountability of the senior management. No issues and no questions were ever left unresolved

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Candidly NOTHING. If anyone could do anything differently, it would be Plexxis. I would have preferred to begin working with Bluedot 6 years ago. vs. 2 years ago.

We heard great things about Blue Dot from some colleagues. Deciding factor was their professionalism and great value pricing.

After a series of discovery meetings the final website design was quickly approved.

In total two resources. Michael was the overall design sales adviser, Daniel was the actual designer of the new website. Great team they work well together.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have seen an immediate increase in site traffic. All of our old dated payment issues have been resolved.

Excellent communication with their team. Daniel was constantly updating the progress of our new site.

They were very knowledgeable and able to resolve any issues very quickly.

We had a few project delays mostly due to our lack of availability.
