Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the founder and head baker at Nutmeg & Ginger bakery. We make cakes and pastries.

For what projects/services did your company hire The Blackpepper Studio, and what were your goals?

We hired The Blackpepper Studio for branding and Website creation. The goal was to create an identity and brand image for the bakery that was fun, contemporary and fresh.

We reached out via email and was answered promptly. We also reached out to 2 other companies but eventually chose TBP for their clear understanding of the project, prompt responses and effective communication.

We started with a consultation call to better understand our needs and project expectations. They reported back with a creative direction to make sure their vision and our expectations were aligned. Once approved, we were sent a project timeline and agreement. Every project milestone was made to align with presentations and milestones. The deliverables were Website design and development, Brand identity- logo suite including logo word, logo mark, brand icons, typography, colour palette, stationery and packaging.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We worked with two members of the team, the Visual director/Art director and the Website designer and director.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We wanted a brand identity and website that would set the bakery apart in the local market and got exactly that. The project gave us a more attractive and contemporary presence than our competitors and positioned us as an high end bakery. This resulted in increased sales as well as opportunities to expand beyond just baking e.g online recipe videos and trainings.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

The project was broken down, designed and delivered in milestones to ensure we work in a SMART way. Tools used throughout the project were Clickup, Asana, Google Suite and Webflow. They were very prompt with responses and communicated in a clear, concise manner.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They were very thorough with asking questions from the start which allowed them have a clear vision of what we wanted and helped in executing it perfectly. Also, very friendly which made the whole process seem less formal and more like working with friends, this helped us to properly communicate all our needs and expectations.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There was nothing I expected to have been done different or needed improvement. Their process and deliverables were of very high standards.
