Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the CEO of Kronics a healthtech company. The company is a startup in early stage with very little funding, mostly organic.

For what projects/services did your company hire Bitwise Technology, and what were your goals?

We hired Bitwise to develop a digital platform for the chronic health environment, where doctors, nutritionists and patients could interact virtually providing a top notch service.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We interviewed around ten software development companies. Basically we used two criteria: referrals and mission engagement in our purpose.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We had the project concept, design and user stories for all actors. From this step and documentation we had generated we brought Bitwise’s whole team into speed and led them take the lead choosing software tools and coding languages for mobile and web applications.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We had about 10 people on board from the vendor. They were full stack web and mobile devs along with UX designers. They were led by a project manager that was the key liaison with us.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

They performed within the agreed schedule and scope of work, bringing an excellent contribution to the project.  We had very good reviews about the mobile app.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

They are very open to suggestions and to accommodate our requests and needs. They provide open channels to communicate.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They were able to understand the phase we were in and brought good service and responsiveness.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Tricky question because we all learn a lot during the project and certainly would do it differently in many areas, but with Bitwise only minor adjustments would be necessary.

For what projects/services did your company hire Bitwise Technology, and what were your goals?

The project was born out of a need for another company in the group, where the director understood that the demand for the document management part of the employees was very high and taking the main focus away from the company's employees.

Seeing this internal need, he understood that several other companies are also experiencing this difficulty and from there he decided to open a new company with a focus on technology to develop the project both for the group company and also to create a product to serve the market, thus generating a new source of revenue in addition to meeting the need.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

As we only had an idea without many project details and no knowledge of systems development, we had to select a supplier very carefully. We presented the idea to 5 possible suppliers until we reached the choice of Bitwise. The points that we observed and that drew our attention to their choice were:

• 1st - First, they tried to understand the whole project, always very carefully, giving us ideas and suggestions even before being hired;
• 2nd - It showed us what would be the best stages of development, Bitwise Technology was always concerned that we would not spend more than necessary on the project and always understanding that the financial part of the project was very important to us;
• 3rd - Showed itself to be more than a supplier, placing itself as a partner, focusing on the quality of the project and bringing many ideas;
• 4th - In terms of finances, they were always flexible and willing to give us suggestions to make the project viable.
• 5th - Knowledge, experience, organization and structure in the development of the project was another point that caught our attention.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

The purpose of the project is to manage the company's employees from the moment they are hired until their entire life within the company. The project consists of management software, where the company's managers have access and an application to be the link between the company and the employee.

In the application, the employee will be able to upload all the documents so that they can be hired by the company, sign the documents digitally, see the information that the company shares with the employees (a mural), and may also receive payment statements and other documents from the company in a digital way. The main steps:

1. Details of the entire project, highlighting the requirements expected from the system;
2. Detail the entire flow of the project;
3. Creation of all the system, considering the requirements and the flow that was detailed;
4. Backend and Frontend development (for web);
5. Development of the entire web part;
6. Backend and Frontend development (for application);

Stages 1, 2 and 3 were completed in the first month of the project, according to the schedule. It is now starting on step 4. Project management is done using agile methodology through the Scrum framework.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

There were 2 people working on stages 1, 2 and 3 and for the continuity of the project two more people joined the project, with a total of 4 people. Product Owner Designer (Elaboration of the screens) Dev Backend DevFrontend

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Today we already have all the project documentation, for the programmers to use in the development, we have all the project screens ready and a vision of the project as a whole, of how it will look after the project is finished, both for the software and the application.

Bitwise uses agile methodology through the Scrum framework where there are daily meetings where we as customers can participate, in addition to planning and validation meetings. We use whatsapp and telephone for doubts or issues that need to be resolved quickly, email to formalize and document a decision, online meetings for alignment and discussions.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The goal of doing the best development and the best delivery, and believing that the project is a great opportunity for both us and Bitwise.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

So far I haven't observed anything regarding improvement, but I'm sure if I see an opportunity I'll speak directly to Bitwise because they always left me free to express myself or suggest something.
