Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the Director of Engineering of a small software development firm delivering a state-of-the-art SaaS online scheduling platform.

We engaged with BitGray to provide staff augmentations for our product development department.

SOLUTION

How did you select this agency and what were the deciding factors?

After working with an agency in Europe with mixed results, we decided to find a near-shore staffing company that could provide staff with working hours more closely aligned to US business hours.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

Too many projects to describe in detail. Over the last few years, BitGray Labs has provided invaluable resources in four key areas: iOS, Android, and web application development, plus Quality Assurance analysts to help test our product.

Describe the recruitment process in detail.

We interview BitGray candidates the same as full time employees. The candidate first meets with the hiring manager so we can gauge high level competency and culture fit. The second interview is to evaluate technical skills. The third and final interview is with the specific team the candidate will be joining.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the engagement that demonstrate progress or success?

Our engagement with BitGray was critical early on as we were short staffed on software engineers with native application experience. With BitGray's help, we were able to progress our iOS and Android native applications significantly.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We pride ourselves on full integrating remote workers, whether they be full time or on contract, in our team processes. English is not the native language for most BitGray Labs contractors, but their language and communication skills are excellent.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The people. BitGray Labs' staff of contractors are highly skilled and a joy to work with.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Early on, many of the folks BitGray provided to us were subcontracted through another agency. My understanding is that they no longer utilize that practice.
