If BelVG could move to Los Angeles, it would be great.

I’m the CTO of KOOKU. Our innovative retail concept combines online availability and conceptual offline activity. We wanted to update our platform’s functionalities, develop additional features, and create an infrastructure architecture.

We found them on the PrestaShop website.

They developed additional subpages and resolved a few bugs on our existing platform. We also asked them to implement new payment methods and a shipping cost calculator. They continue to provide support and maintenance.

Our project manager (PM) and product owner worked with BelVG’s PM and development team.

We used Asana and Skype.

We were impressed with their flexibility. They were able to develop using a highly customized platform.

They could improve their testing and QA. Sometimes, new features caused issues as the platform was not tested after each implementation.

We needed the creation and ongoing support for our Magento site.

We wanted to create a world-class website for our business customers.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We had an in-house team of developers, but over time, we realized that BelVG was quicker, more experienced, and more cost-effective, which led us to shut down our team and switch everything to them.

They built a Magento store with 60,000 stock keeping units and handled its full integration with Sage X3, plus many other custom features.

We had an in-house team of three developers but now we only have a marketing person who works with BelVG.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our site is extremely customized now and has seen hundreds of thousands of orders flow through with no downtime. Their team is extremely professional and knowledgeable. They’ve completed every task we’ve given them with a high degree of efficiency.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We mostly communicate through Redmine but use email every now and then. We share screenshots through Jing to explain what we need to be done. We never have any communication or language issues.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They get things done quickly and efficiently on the first try.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I wish they had other services like SEO, design, etc.
