BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the Head of Application Development, we are a company based in Abu Dhabi. We produce, design and develop Unmanned Aerial Systems as well as software, we also conduct R&D in the Aerospace industry.

For what projects/services did your company hire BARREK Group, and what were your goals?

We hired Barrek Group to design sketches and mockups for our upcoming mobile application, in the end we also decided to leverage the business relationship to also have them build the backend for the afforementioned application.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We found the vendor through some personal contacts, the deciding factors were cost and speed of delivery.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

The design/mocks were created in Figma, the backend project was created with documentation and specifications written by me in Swagger. The end product was delivered with NodeJS, NextJS and Prisma.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Product has not been completed yet, needs to be launched.

We had bi-weekly meetings over Google Meet, their forms of communication also spanned through e-mail as well as Jira.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They were quick to deliver.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

More communication.
