We run an engineering-focused open-source program office. We needed:

•  teams of engineers who could engage directly in upstream code contributions to a variety of open source projects 
• those engineers needed to be proven self-starting open-source evangelists that can earn respect from their respective open-source communities we needed those teams to be assembled quickly to meet the demand of the customer

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have been collaborating with Bakson since early 2021 and we absolutely love working with them. Bakson is a great partner for finding the right talents for open source development that we do as part of Insight Softmax Consulting. Currently, we have more than five full-time engineers hired through Bakson. These engineers are working on improving multiple open source products, such as LightGBM, DASOS, XGBoost, Armada, and DataHub. 

Through this work, some of the team has become core committers of such significant projects as Kubernetes and Apache. In addition to the software-development-focused members, we have a small DevOps team hired through Bakson that looks after the health and hyginene of all of our open-source projects.

They are very efficient and reliable and we would be adrift in a sea of CI/CD chaos without them. We have established a real trust and partnership with Bakson owing to their open communication responsiveness to our needs. In short, they are a pleasure to work with, and we look forward to continuing and deepening the relationship.

Bakson Ltd was asked to help N Solutions from the technical side of data transfer and organization to meet their goal of turning data into clients’ biggest asset. The challenge included connecting to multiple partner APIs on multiple geographic POS's, ETL the data into agreed data structures, appropriate for further data analysis using PowerBI. 

Setting user privileges on data was also handled as part of the project. The project was implemented on top of Azure cloud technology. Bakson was able to mobilize quickly, learn client goals, and come to the table with practical solutions. An architect/developer team specifically chosen for the client's unique requirements completed the project on time, which enabled N Solutions to win this client. 

As a part of the engagement, before delivery, the system was tested, and additional changes were made, covering odds on the external API system. Additionally, the system was created in a way that adding new APIs/clients is a simple configuration task.

• Completion within a deadline

• System is easily upgradeable for new API's

They communicated clearly and on a regular basis. This includes project goals, tangible objectives, relevant timelines. We always knew where we were in the project and what needed to be done next. They struck a great balance between managing the project and allowing time for the work to be done so everyone's time was used efficiently.
