BACKGROUND

Can you give me a brief overview of what your company does for some background?

Our firm provides assistance and representation for patent and trademark matters in Romania and abroad, namely before European Patent Office (EPO) in Munich and before the Office for Harmonization of Internal Market (OHIM) in Alicante. I am one of the partners of the firm.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What were your company’s business goals or reasons for undertaking the project?

We need assistance in IT&C matters, for the current network administration issues, and for the development of solutions to address different needs. I’ve worked with Stefan since early 2007. I selected him because he was recommended by a friend who was doing business with him at that time. I was very happy with his services, and the services of his entire firm, and I am still happy working with him.

SOLUTION

Can you tell me about the scope of the project?

There were various processes. One of them was the selection of an appropriate e-mail solution. Due to the nature of our business, we need to keep some of the old e-mails, the volume of which is a problem for many e-mail programs. Stefan helped us implement and maintain Google Mail for business.

What other services did Atlas Networking provide?

The other project was the creation of a database for our records, including deadlines to be watched. We cannot buy ready-made databases because these programs are created for major jurisdictions, such as Great Britain and Germany, and the costs to adapt it for our jurisdiction would have been too high. Stefan and his Atlas team designed our database and keep on updating it according to our needs.

The Atlas team is very responsive to our needs and always did a good job. In the IT business, many times there is an urgency that needs to be solved quickly to keep the business running.

When working with Atlas Networking, was there anything unique or special about them compared to other companies that you may have worked with?

They try to suggest new ways of doing things; some of them are accepted and others are not. A quality of Stefan in particular is his capacity to explain how things work. For a user, it is not always easy to adapt to new technology. Stefan knows how to explain any IT issue.
