I was the chief medical officer and founder of Legacy Derm Lioyd.

What challenge were you trying to address with Assistant Media Group?

I needed a company that could help me get my brand ready before selling the company to a private equity firm.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started the engagement with an initial consultation, wherein we discussed my goals and developed a branding and marketing strategy. We then worked together to figure out how to make my company more marketable and appealing to prospective buyers.

Assistant Media Group’s main responsibilities involved helping me with my rebranding efforts. They were instrumental in getting everything ready before handing over the company to its next owner. They redesigned all of our branding and marketing materials, including our fliers, pamphlets, and packaging for our goodie bags.

Aside from that, they also developed a patient portal and managed ad campaigns on Google and Facebook. They created the ads and launched the campaigns.

I just sold the company, and I have 20 or so days left based on the equity acquisition. Assistant Media Group is still helping me finalize the transition by turning over the accounts, putting out an email newsletter, and onboarding new doctors.

We started working together in April 2020, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Assistant Media Group’s support has been critical in helping me sell the company for more than $2 million for just a $100,000 investment. I also realized that they were cheaper than the other companies that we looked into, which is surprising considering I think they did a better job than anyone could have.

How did Assistant Media Group perform from a project management standpoint?

Assistant Media Group performed incredibly well in terms of project management. Everything was very transparent — they have a dashboard where I can see their progress and provide feedback in real-time. They also consistently provide timeline updates and respond immediately to all my questions and concerns, no matter what time.

We primarily communicate through their client portal. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Assistant Media Group truly cares about me and my business. They probably work with companies that are a lot bigger than mine, but they never fail to make me feel valued. I’ve never felt like I was just another project — I feel truly important to them, and they’ve always made me feel like I’m their only client.

I also appreciate how patient they’ve been and how they explain everything to me. They explained everything in a way that I could understand but never once did they make me feel less for asking all kinds of questions.

I’m a founder of a natural beauty clean cosmetic startup and the single employee.

For what projects/services did your company hire Assistant Media Group?

GROWTH! I couldn’t take my business to the next level on my own and didn’t have the capital to hire the proper staff to do it in house. My old director mentioned Assistant Media Group as a be all end all for support needs. They managed our social media, website, branding, and marketing.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I ignited the conversation by reaching out on social media, they directed me to a form via their website. I filled out the chat with the online agent to schedule and I spoke with someone later that day who introduced me to their products and genuinely seemed interested in my business.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

The project was extremely long and less of a project and more of a partnership. They became very close to my business learning all of our practices and getting intimate in detail. They had total control of essentially every aspect of my business.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We had multiple team members starting from day one with their sales team. We have a relationship manager who keeps in weekly contact, their entire client success team for 24/7 support, and their specialty staff for Shopify or engineering or lawyers for our terms and conditions and contracts.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

They started, managed, and grew our social media and website from 0 followers and 0 site viewers and we currently have almost 10,000 site viewers each month and 5,000 followers. Our sales are trending in the right direction!

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

They have people available 24/7 via chat or phone so the workflow was amazing. I have a portal where I can get progress updates and all my analytics.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They want me to succeed. They truly care it’s not all smoking mirrors. They come up with multiple solutions and help me to decide what’s best for my business.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

24/7 support has been fantastic I’ve just had one experience where the agent could have been more knowledgeable on the issue. This however is being extremely knit-picky.
