I’m the CEO and founder of millionlights, an EdTech company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Arvan Technologies Pvt. Ltd.?

We needed help developing our website.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They developed the first version of our website, from the ground up. Students could already log into the frontend of our learning management system (LMS), and Arvan Technologies Pvt. Ltd. built the architecture and compliance around all of that. The team delivered software requirements specification (SRS), technical documentation, and coding.

What is the team composition?

I only interacted with the CEO.

How did you come to work with Arvan Technologies Pvt. Ltd.?

A good friend of mine highly recommended them. We considered three or four companies, and Arvan Technologies Pvt. Ltd. won the bid.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent $30,000-$40,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project went from December 2015–July 2016.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

In the first 6–7 months after launching the site, we experienced an influx of new users. Apart from the tech side, Arvan Technologies Pvt. Ltd. provided business recommendations and ideas that we eventually implemented into the website. There were a few bugs, as to be expected, but we were very happy with the final product.

How did Arvan Technologies Pvt. Ltd. perform from a project management standpoint?

They could’ve done better with project management. I’m assuming they have a CRM or ERP in place now, but they didn’t when we worked together. However, the system we developed wasn’t overly complex, and we didn’t have too many issues completing it.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Arvan Technologies Pvt. Ltd. never increased the price point, even though we added certain functions that weren’t in the original project scope. Their knowledge was very helpful to us in building upon version one and even version two.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Having an ERP to manage the project would’ve been helpful.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

When we worked with them, they had a 7–12 person team. I’m not sure how much they’ve grown in the past few years, but I’d recommend that potential clients find this out.
