What was the scope of their involvement?

Arkay Apps developed our website and software. It’s a B2B worldwide directory for the maritime business and the shipping and local transportation industry. Companies register on our portal, which creates worldwide networking inside their membership, among other features. There’s also an asset and trucking management. 

In addition to that, they’re currently providing SEO services.

What is the team composition?

They allocated 4–5 people to our project, including the founder, two coders, and UI designers.

How did you come to work with Arkay Apps?

They were referred to me. I chose them because they provided a proper and positive response and were cost-effective.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent $20,000 with them so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in July 2020, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I’m delighted with their services. Their UI design and coding are excellent. In 7–8 years, I couldn’t find a company to develop this kind of platform, but Arkay Apps could — people are asking us who created our website because they want one like ours.

How did Arkay Apps perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re very active and complete the work on time. In terms of tools, we use Trello for project management and Adobe for the UI. They’re an available team; whenever I call them, they immediately respond. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their team provides helpful suggestions for my ideas, which ends up in good development work. They don’t just do what I say; they proactively develop great ideas, which I like.

I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on.

What challenge were you trying to address with Arkay Apps?

We needed help to develop our main app. Our goal was to have a long-term partner who would handle the technical side of our app development projects.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We shared the concept for the app as well as the look and feel we wanted to achieve. We wanted to have a gaming app with two-factor authentication and algorithms that would help users with the discovery page. Other features include user-profiles and the ability to add and delete users.

Based on that, they provided suggestions on the best way to build it. They also researched the best way to build up the backend with the structure that would ensure its future stability. In the end, we agreed to have a server that plugs into different frontends of applications. 

The team continues to develop and test the application, and their services include UI/UX design, server architecture development and design, and Android app development.

What is the team composition?

We’re working with their project manager who is our main point of contact. We’re also collaborating with Arkay Apps’ server programmer, Android programmer, and UI designer.

How did you come to work with Arkay Apps?

We initially found them on Google a few years ago. When we discussed the project, I liked their confidence and knowledge of the technical aspects we needed. They provided a realistic timeline, too.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent €23,000 (approximately $27,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together around March 2018, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’re still developing and testing the application, so there aren’t metrics to share. They have addressed issues we faced early on such as the two-factor authentication not working properly, and we look forward to tracking the download rate once the app is launched.

How did Arkay Apps perform from a project management standpoint?

Arkay Apps is transparent and knows how to communicate well. They keep us updated on their progress, challenges, and more. We use Jira for task management and Skype to communicate.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They deliver high-quality products at reasonable prices.

They could speed up their development time.
