Introduce your business and what you do there.

I'm the co-founder of IndiaClan, which helps individuals improve their financial literacy through a range of products we have on our cross-platform mobile application.  

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Applore Technologies?

We didn't have enough technical resources to build our product.  

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Applore Technologies provided us with technology resources to develop our cross-platform mobile app. At the beginning of the project, we gave Applore Technologies the blueprint of what we wanted from the app. We discussed the scope of work with them, but we already had the design for them to code. They built the app's backend in Node.js and the frontend in Flutter. Once the app was complete, their team handed over the code, which our newly expanded in-house team took over. 

Currently, Applore Technologies is fixing bugs in the app, but 99% of the project is complete. 

What is the team composition?

We've worked with two teammates from Applore Technologies, the CTO and co-founder. However, a technology team was also involved in the project, including developers and a project manager. 

How did you come to work with Applore Technologies?

We knew Applore Technologies through a personal relationship we already had with them. Applore Technologies had an exhaustive range of products they've developed, which we looked at before deciding to hire them.

How much have you invested with them?

We've invested around $10,000–$15,000 with Applore Technologies. 

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing engagement with Applore Technologies began in February 2022, but they delivered almost all the tasks by June 2022. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Applore Technologies has completed the project and handed over the code base. They've delivered what is essentially three products, the user, administrative, and vendor sides of the application, that sync together in real-time. The application is live and is virtually bug-free. Within the first week, 1,600 users started using the app, which is a testament to the fact the app is well-made; there are currently 1,600–2,000 users. 

How did Applore Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

Applore Technologies' CTO is the centerpiece of all communications. Typically, we communicate via WhatsApp. One of the biggest advantages of our partnership is that our companies are located in the same city so we can have in-person meetings.

Their team stays on budget; they've been very upfront about the scope of work, which they analyzed before projecting the cost. There is a lot of transparency in their pricing. They've also stuck to our project timelines — we use ClickUp for project management.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Applore Technologies' key competency is their technology resources. Their team is well-versed in the technologies they use and won't make false promises to deliver using technology they're not confident using. They're very transparent in their offerings and have an in-depth understanding of them. Their team doesn't over-promise and under-deliver; they stay on track. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

There is always room for improvement for any company. For example, Applore Technologies didn't have a project manager when we came on board, so we had to manage everything ourselves. That became difficult, but Applore Technologies' team acknowledged the difficulty and put a project manager in place, making things run smoothly.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I'd recommend looking at Applore Technologies' portfolio and the application they've developed so that you can see if they've developed something similar to your project in the past.
