I'm the co-founder of IndiaClan, which helps individuals improve their financial literacy through a range of products we have on our cross-platform mobile application.

What challenge were you trying to address with Applore Technologies?

We didn't have enough technical resources to build our product.  

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Applore Technologies provided us with technology resources to develop our cross-platform mobile app. At the beginning of the project, we gave Applore Technologies the blueprint of what we wanted from the app. We discussed the scope of work with them, but we already had the design for them to code. They built the app's backend in Node.js and the frontend in Flutter. Once the app was complete, their team handed over the code, which our newly expanded in-house team took over. 

Currently, Applore Technologies is fixing bugs in the app, but 99% of the project is complete. 

What is the team composition?

We've worked with two teammates from Applore Technologies, the CTO and co-founder. However, a technology team was also involved in the project, including developers and a project manager. 

How did you come to work with Applore Technologies?

We knew Applore Technologies through a personal relationship we already had with them. Applore Technologies had an exhaustive range of products they've developed, which we looked at before deciding to hire them.

How much have you invested with them?

We've invested around $10,000–$15,000 with Applore Technologies. 

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing engagement with Applore Technologies began in February 2022, but they delivered almost all the tasks by June 2022. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Applore Technologies has completed the project and handed over the code base. They've delivered what is essentially three products, the user, administrative, and vendor sides of the application, that sync together in real-time. The application is live and is virtually bug-free. Within the first week, 1,600 users started using the app, which is a testament to the fact the app is well-made; there are currently 1,600–2,000 users. 

How did Applore Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

Applore Technologies' CTO is the centerpiece of all communications. Typically, we communicate via WhatsApp. One of the biggest advantages of our partnership is that our companies are located in the same city so we can have in-person meetings.

Their team stays on budget; they've been very upfront about the scope of work, which they analyzed before projecting the cost. There is a lot of transparency in their pricing. They've also stuck to our project timelines — we use ClickUp for project management.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Applore Technologies' key competency is their technology resources. Their team is well-versed in the technologies they use and won't make false promises to deliver using technology they're not confident using. They're very transparent in their offerings and have an in-depth understanding of them. Their team doesn't over-promise and under-deliver; they stay on track. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

There is always room for improvement for any company. For example, Applore Technologies didn't have a project manager when we came on board, so we had to manage everything ourselves. That became difficult, but Applore Technologies' team acknowledged the difficulty and put a project manager in place, making things run smoothly.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I'd recommend looking at Applore Technologies' portfolio and the application they've developed so that you can see if they've developed something similar to your project in the past.

I’m the founder of an e-commerce solutions company.

What specific goals or objectives did you hire Applore Technologies to accomplish for your e-commerce business?

I hired Applore Technologies to design and develop a fully functional multivendor e-commerce mobile application for my business. The primary goal was to create a scalable platform where multiple vendors could register, manage their own products, and handle orders independently.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

There were no meaningful or measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrated progress or success. Despite the defined scope and timeline, the project didn’t reach a stage where any functional deliverables could be tested, launched, or used for business purposes. No stable version of the mobile app, vendor dashboard, or admin panel was provided.

After launch, the product had multiple unresolved bugs and incomplete features. Attempts to get these issues addressed were met with slow responses, repeated follow-ups, and inconsistent communication. In many cases, fixes were either delayed significantly or not implemented properly, requiring rework.

There was no structured maintenance plan, no proactive monitoring, and no sense of accountability for post-delivery performance. Once the majority of the payment was completed, the level of engagement noticeably dropped.

In practical terms, I was left handling critical issues on my own or seeking external developers to stabilize the platform. For a project of this scale, the lack of dependable post-launch support was a major failure.

How did Applore Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

Applore Technologies’ project management was highly unstructured and lacked accountability throughout the engagement. There was no clear project tracking system, no consistent communication schedule, and no transparency regarding actual progress. Updates were irregular and often didn’t reflect the real status of the work being done.

In terms of timelines, they didn’t deliver on time. Multiple deadlines were missed without proper justification, and there was a continuous pattern of delays. Even with extended timelines, the project failed to reach completion.

What did you find most impressive or unique about them?

To be honest, there was nothing particularly impressive or unique about working with Applore Technologies. While the initial discussions created an expectation of capability and professionalism, the actual execution didn’t reflect those claims.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There were several areas where Applore Technologies could have significantly improved.

Delivery and execution: The most critical issue was the inability to deliver even the basic agreed-upon components in a usable form. A stronger focus on actual development progress rather than just commitments would have made a major difference.

Project management: There was a clear lack of structure, planning, and accountability. Defined milestones, regular reporting, and transparent tracking could have prevented the prolonged delays and confusion.

Communication: Communication became inconsistent and reactive. Timely updates, clear status reports, and proactive issue escalation were missing throughout the project.

Technical quality: The work shared was incomplete and non-functional. Proper development standards, internal testing, and quality assurance should have been in place before sharing deliverables.

Post-commitment accountability: Once timelines were missed, there was no clear ownership or recovery plan. A professional approach would involve acknowledging delays and actively working toward resolution.

Overall, a more disciplined, transparent, and execution-focused approach could have completely changed the outcome of the project.

Never deployed our product.

Their responsiveness was inadequate. They frequently delayed replies, failed to provide proper updates, and did not address our concerns seriously. Eventually, they stopped responding altogether after we requested a refund
