# Parkinson’s Disease Healthcare Application

A healthcare application built for individuals with Parkinson’s disease, enabling them to better monitor and manage their condition through both a mobile app (iOS) and a companion Apple Watch app. The project aimed to empower users with proactive health tracking, personalized medication reminders, and seamless health data monitoring—especially focusing on movement disorders and dyskinetic event tracking.

**Responsibilities included:**
- End-to-end development of both apps

The project successfully delivered a HealthKit-integrated iOS app (built with React Native and Expo) and a Swift-based Apple Watch app. Key measurable outcomes included seamless real-time sync of movement disorder and dyskinetic data between the watch and mobile app, reliable medication tracking with push notifications, and accurate mood/sleep logging. Over 95% of planned features were implemented, with robust E2E testing using Maestro and >80% unit test coverage. The integration of HealthKit ensured accurate step and sleep data tracking, while the companion watch app enabled continuous monitoring of Parkinson’s-specific health metrics.

Overall, the experience with Apennure was excellent. If anything, earlier alignment on timelines and feature priorities could have made sprint planning even smoother. That said, the team was always open to feedback and quick to adjust whenever needed, which made the process very collaborative and efficient.

The project included everything from UI/UX design to full-stack mobile app development, backend setup, and an admin dashboard. They helped us bring the idea to life — from early concepts to a working product with real-time chat, quote sharing, and order management features. We also appreciated their ongoing support post-launch.

Within 6 months of starting the project, we were able to successfully launch the Metalbook mobile app on both the iOS App Store and Android Play Store. The team helped us shape the idea, build the features we needed, and made sure everything was ready for launch. They were easy to work with, stayed on track, and were always there when we had questions or needed changes.
