Improved Time on Page: Users were spending more time on the site due to better navigation, clearer content, and an engaging user experience. The improved layout and streamlined access to key information kept visitors on the page longer, exploring more content.

Initially, we hired amondi to design our website. Later, when the COVID-19 pandemic started, we had to close our gym, and we decided to digitalize our services and provide training online through our home page.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our first project with amondi was the design and development of our website from scratch. Over time, they’ve been working on perfecting the site. 

When the COVID-19 pandemic started, we requested a solution to move our services online. Based on our request, amondi put our training on a server, enabling us to stream live sessions from our web page. Users can access a membership area to log in and find live training sessions and on-demand workouts we’ve recorded and put on the site, so our customers can use them anytime and anywhere.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

amondi did a really nice job with the development of our website. Regarding the live training, they provided us with a solution within a few hours of our request. Thanks to their efficiency, we were one of the first gyms to offer online training at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. This change also enabled us to gain new customers.

Moreover, they’re really professional, quick, and very trustworthy. I would definitely recommend amondi to anybody who has any issue whatsoever with their company’s website. In my opinion, amondi is doing the best job ever.

They’re really good at communication; they understand what we say and want. The team also reacts fast to any requests. We typically communicate through Google Meet or Zoom calls. amondi uses Asana for project management.

I’m impressed by amondi’s trustworthiness, first and foremost. They’re also really good at problem-solving; they understand our pain points and provide solutions quickly. amondi can handle anything — they’re really good at what they do.

In the beginning it was a very structured project while Amondi set up our complete website with a new design. They were responsible for all the formatting and transferring our designed layout for the pages. Today they still support with formatting issues, maintaining the websites menu and footer. Further they support with all formatting issues that we cannot solve by ourselves.

A project manager first allocated our tasks. During the process we also directly contacted about 3-4 different developers that were changing according to their availability.

Thanks to amondi GmbH, we have received very good feedback on the improvement of the site from (potential) customers and candidates.

In the beginning the communication was very close and party via digital meetings. After a while, once the biggest part of the website was released, the main communication was done via the preferred project task board of Amondi (Asana). Most of the tasks were done in time; some are delayed for a couple of weeks despite being set to high prio.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We prefer working completely digital without having lots of calls or meetings. Amondi gave us with the Asana board the perfect possibility to collobarate on a shared board and to exchange information on this way. This is very convenient for us.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We often realized that the developers or no designers. This was much noticed in the way the website was formated. Contact forms, text blocks, pictures, videos, fonts etc. sometimes looked not aligned, broken or slightly misshaped. This was often not noticed as the developers did not have an eye for the design format (e.g. having two blocks on the page next to each other and one is a little bit longer than the other which looks misshaped).

We described our situation, and amondi developed an automatic IT system to improve our daily business flow. The team also redesigned our website using WordPress. As for our site’s frontend, they improved the merchandising and the site’s organization.

We have a proprietary development system, including invoicing and a subsystem, and amondi worked with that. The site’s purpose is informative; it’s the entrance for our clients into our system to get informed about our services, and we use Odoo for customer relationship management. The amondi team also helps us with digital advertising. Currently, we have a new development project with them.

The workflow amondi developed for us is our daily business flow. We have more or less 500 clients per month, and without the team’s efforts, we’d have to do the IT work manually and couldn’t handle as much client demand as we do. The workflow and automatic IT system have been important for our business. 

Additionally, we’ve gotten a better response from our clients since amondi’s improvements to the frontend. amondi had also unified all our services in one place; we used to have different vendors for IT development and advertising, and now amondi does all that for us.

We use Asana for project management. As for communication, we have a phone call every week and use email. amondi is absolutely transparent and fair when it comes to budget

What did you find most impressive about them?

I can reach amondi 24 hours a day, and they solve problems really fast.

Additionally, they’re doing more than I would get in my country for the same price. With IT development, I ask myself every year if the budget is okay or too much and if we need to change something. I can only compare offers, and amondi is not only less expensive than others; they also deliver better results.

Afterwards we started project step by step and detail by detail. Technologies used were primarly coding and avoiding using existing apps that could possibly crash with our softwares and other funcionalities. They offered us a custom solutions where that would be the best possibility.

Since the launch of the new web shop we had positive reactions from our customers. As a result, our revenue growth a lot (around x2). Funcionalities and user experience were very positive as we heard from customers.

In the past, we used external CRM and sales systems. We wanted to integrate all of those into our own system and connect them with an API on our website. That way, we could publish jobs on our website and other platforms through our own system. For this reason, we hired amondi.

What was the scope of their involvement?

amondi developed our website a couple of years ago. They built it from scratch using WordPress. Recently, we updated the website with them; to be frank, it was more than an update — we rebuilt it from scratch. There were a few similarities in content, but we created a completely new website from the first one we created. 

So far, they’ve also created a backend dashboard for us, where we can publish jobs to other websites. We can also track and trace which recruiter in my company has done what with the sales dashboard. We can also assign tasks and create templates for contacting people on LinkedIn. That way, we don’t have to manually write texts all the time. Overall, the API and website work together as a CRM and ERP system. 

Moreover, amondi has helped us build our SEO foundation, though we do the actual optimization by ourselves. To be specific, they’ve ensured that the website and the API are responsive and that we can access them separately. Then, they’ve shown us how to use the keywords we’ve researched in meta descriptions and tags. The team has demonstrated how to do it, and we follow.

The other structural changes they’ve done to the site include changing its SQL decryption. The goal is to make the website more visible on Google. They’ve taken over the maintenance of the website and dashboard for us. We’re also building a new API for us to publish on more platforms.

Nordin (CEO) is my main contact person, while Antonio (Lead Developer), Matea (Junior Designer), and another person work on the website. A few other people are also involved in the project.

I knew Nordin from school, and I approached him via LinkedIn for this project. We also chose amondi partly because of pricing issues; if we hired other teams in Germany, we would spend 2–3 times the amount we’ve spent on amondi. We also liked them because of their flexibility. I had the vision for the project, but I didn’t know how to execute it — they had the creativity to execute my ideas, so we engaged them.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The amondi team’s services have impacted our business a lot. We’re a small company but have many big clients in Europe. They allow us to be more efficient even with little manpower. We now have everything in place — previously, we had 4–5 different logins — this allows us to be more efficient and create invoices directly from the dashboard. 

How did amondi GmbH perform from a project management standpoint?

The team has met deadlines 95% of the time. Sometimes, deliverables take a bit longer because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Other times, things are a bit unstructured, but that’s because I’m not familiar with IT and don’t know how much time it takes to execute tasks. As a result, I’m sometimes pushy. Fortunately, I’ve learned a lot IT-wise throughout our engagement. I’ve also gained a deeper understanding of the whole backend development process.

Our main communication tools are WhatsApp, Zoom, and Teams. For quick changes, we use WhatsApp. On Zoom and Teams, we share screens for easier communication. We also use recorded videos to show them what bugs or issues to fix. Overall, they’ve been hands-on in terms of communication. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They have the ability to translate my business vision into technical execution. Sometimes, what I have in mind sounds right, but I can’t use the right words to explain it. However, they still execute my ideas well. 

Apart from that, I also like their flexibility. We’ve started with a small project, and it’s grown bigger. Throughout all of this, amondi has provided us with the right resources. They’ve connected us with a great designer. Overall, they manage to be flexible even if our side is a little unstructured. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Although I like our communication over WhatsApp, it would be better to use a different tool, such as Trello. That way, we can directly see the status of the things we’re doing. That will make it easier to understand where we stand and to see which things should be prioritized. To be fair, it’s my idea to use WhatsApp. Beyond that, we can use more developers like Antonio.

Take the time to write down your expectations before starting the project. In our engagement with amondi, I didn’t do that; they had to do it for me. I simply reviewed and confirmed what they wrote.
