For what projects/services did your company hire AmazonXperts, and what were your goals?

We tasked the vendor with two projects: improving overall Amazon sales, and gaining access to Amazon's medical portal.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We solicited recommendations from other ecommerce companies.

AmazonXperts was supposed to come up with a series of Amazon campaigns that would improve sales of our branded products. The key deliverable on that project was supposed to be a visible improvement in sales. They were also supposed to gain us entry to Amazon's medical portal. We were asked to jump through numerous hoops to "qualify" but although we did so, nothing came of it.

Team lead and 4-5 team members with expertise in PPC and other online marketing techniques

What is the status of this engagement?

Updated as of February 28th: The engagement is completed. The previous issues with respect to the vendor’s failure to make the promised refund have been resolved to our satisfaction so we no longer have any reason to question their integrity.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Both projects were dismal failures. Most of the campaigns they created for us did poorly - we are doing much better now that we removed their campaigns and created our own. The medical portal entry never happened and AmazonXPerts refused to refund part of our original payment in that event, as they contractually agreed.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Weekly emails and meetings, most of which were filled with increasingly desperate excuses for why their campaigns were failing.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They talk a good game but we were hoping to get results. not just talk.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Yes, they should stop peddling virtual snake oil and not take on projects that they are hopelessly inept at accomplishing.

We’re a wholesale manufacturing company with multiple brands that sell products to retailers. I’m in a management position of e-commerce marketplaces.

We hired them to provide us with customer service and tools.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

AmazonXperts provides us with a full range of services from setting up sheets and on-demand customer service to full-time customer service support. Their team helps us with best page practices and page optimizations. They also offer image optimization and copy services to help our pages grow. Additionally, their team manages our PPC and SEO campaigns, including keyword research. For example, they send us copy with all of our keywords highlighted.

What is the team composition?

We work with 8–10 people from AmazonXperts. Their team includes managers, assistances, and dedicated representatives.

How did you come to work with AmazonXperts?

I was about to sign a contract with another competitor when a colleague mentioned AmazonXperts. Before signing the contract, I decided to meet with AmazonXperts and felt that their team was better suited to our needs based on their PPC management direction.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent anywhere between $170,000–$200,000 on their services.

What is the status of this engagement?

The partnership began in July 2019, and we recently renewed our contract.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We measure the success of our engagement by taking their recommendations and seeing how those affect the pages, reactions, and sales. They actually put the metrics and plans that we initially discussed with them into place. We’re seeing our PPC costs drop while sales and traffic increase. In 2020, we had a 400% increase in sales. Their team makes sure that we’re tackling our keywords and spending our money in the right places.

How did AmazonXperts perform from a project management standpoint?

I have dedicated members for each task such as copywriting. Their team uses tools for organizational purposes. For example, they use Asana for collaboration. We also try to integrate our software such as Microsoft Teams into their processes. They’re open to adapting and using our systems.

I like that their team’s always looking for ways to optimize whether it’s our business or their business. Their follow up and time management are satisfactory too.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I appreciate their honesty and integrity. It’s not always about more units with them. Although they’re partially paid on ad spend, their team has told us that we should cut back at times. They want to build us up the right way. I admire that honesty and integrity.

Their team is also always looking to improve, which is another reason that I like working with them. As a boutique business, they also aren’t overwhelmed with too many clients. Their team gives us dedicated attention.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, they’re on top of their business. Their team also takes the recommendations and opinions of their clients to heart.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They’re definitely knowledgeable. Their team can help you increase traffic and sales given the right tools to succeed. In other words, they have to be given the proper tools and information to do their work. It’s definitely worth giving AmazonXperts a shot.
