We're a company in the Gaming Industry. My position at the company is Manager, Software Engineering.

For what projects/services did your company hire Altudo, and what were your goals?

Altudo helped us to build our new Corporate Website. We were under a tight deadline and needed a company with the power and expertise to aid us in the development.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Some of the factors that were used in determining the vendor was the Sitecore Competencies, reviews from other companies, budgetary guidelines, and the number of successful projects.

We started off with a budget and timeline meeting to discuss all of the requirements that were needed to accomplish the task. Next, our team worked to provide access to repositories, task management solutions, and prepare for work. Technologies used were Sitecore, Sitecore SXA, ASP.net, C#.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

There was an account manager, Director of Engineering Solutions, six full stack sitecore engineers, and a QA engineering working with us on the team.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We were able to launch our new website within six weeks. Internal stakeholders and executives were excited to see the new site and was pleased on how we were able to get the work done.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

There were daily standups with the team to ensure we were aligned and on task. There were also separate meeting for technical issues where we discussed and roadblocks and worked together to solve the issues at hand. Every week a report was produced for executives to explain where we were with the project and how the team was progressing.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What I found most impressive or unique about this company is there willingness to work collaboratively on the project together with our engineers side by side. The fact that there were resources available and they were willing to jump in was also impressive. The project was setup in less than two weeks.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Throughout the project we noticed that there were not enough communication or follow through with some tasks. This quickly rectified and the communication improved.

I am the digital channels operations manager at Logix Federal Credit Union. We’re located in Valencia, California, and we offer financial products such as vehicle and mortgage loans.

What challenge were you trying to address with Altudo?

We hired Altudo for a Sitecore version upgrade. Our company had been using Sitecore for 10–12 years; we purchased version 8.0 or 8.88, and we wanted to upgrade it to version 10.2, the latest version.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Altudo has upgraded our Sitecore system to version 10.2 and now offers maintenance. Initially, the team had a discovery phase, taking the first two weeks to analyze the old version. Then, they explained what they would do and how they would remove some of the unwanted files. They moved everything from our old version to the new one.

Additionally, Altudo recommended Azure DevOps to enable continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD). Currently, we use a CMS version of Sitecore and are also a Microsoft-based shop. Altudo offers maintenance for our new Sitecore version.

What is the team composition?

We've worked with at least 8–10 individuals from Altudo, including account managers, SVPs, a project lead, and two architects.

How did you come to work with Altudo?

Sitecore recommended a few service providers specifically skilled in their upgrades, and Altudo was one of them.

How much have you invested with them?

We've spent approximately $145,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The upgrade project lasted from April–July 2022. We're still engaged with them because we have a contract for maintenance services.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Altudo has done fantastically well for us. Before the upgrade, we manually deployed everything, and since the team upgraded our Sitecore version, we have automated deployment using the latest version of Visual Studio on Azure DevOps.

How did Altudo perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management is exceptional; they’ve planned everything well from the beginning. The team gave us a three-month timeframe and finished the upgrade on time and within the budget. Not even a single dollar has been out of the initial quote they gave us.

During the upgrade process, we had weekly meetings where they would do presentations to update us on their progress. We communicate via phone calls and emails.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m most impressed with Altudo’s communication skills and how they keep us up to date.

Are there any areas they could improve?

During the upgrade, we sometimes could not provide them with things in the timeframe they gave us. We had to explain that we have to work with several different departments, which can lead to delays on our side.

Any advice for potential customers?

Altudo is friendly, so you should also have a personable approach with them. I’d also advise being true to what you need and openly communicating with them.

Marketing goals documentation and translating those goals into Sitecore marketing goals, personas, personalization rules, and taxonomies.

On time delivery and worked closely with our development team to meet the specific needs of both the team and the organization. They were quite flexible in helping us meet our goals.

Altudo's unique time-to-value workshops were very helpful in getting our development and marketing teams up to speed quickly in understanding how Sitecore's personalization functionality works.

Altudo had great communication which was required for this project. here was nothing they could have done differently to improve the outcome.
