Since the cooperation started we already finished more than 4 projects, and now working on a few. They are always ready to scale their capacity to deliver, always suggest how to avoid any blockers and stoppers that can be caused during the project, and, most importantly, our clients are happy to work with them.

• Step 1: Setting up the development process, creating UI components, and establishing a development server to showcase progress. 
• Step 2: Creating a landing page with hardcoded information (not editable) while the backend team works on the authentication process, including endpoint creation and validation of existing Firebase tables.

What challenge were you trying to address with Aleannlab?

We wanted to maximize our SEO scores, improve our website’s technical performance, reduce our AWS costs, and increase our Google rankings. Thus, we listed Aleannlab to help us out.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Initially, Aleannlab went over the scope and broke it down into weekly deliverables. From there, they started by doing some website development work using React and Next.js on the frontend, as well as Node.js and NestJS on the backend. Additionally, they created a serverless architecture using AWS, MongoDB, and Digital Ocean.

Aleannlab’s development work entailed improving the site’s performance and its SEO score, fixing bugs, and improving its speed. The first deliverable was transitioning our website from React to Next.js. On the server side, they also did some rendering and optimized the code, implementing Redis cache and working with Suspense within React.

The second deliverable was to improve the Google page speed metrics and optimize its code. To achieve this, Aleannlab maintained scrapers and fixed bugs. On the backend, they did some sequential tests to see which services from AWS were not being used and turn them off. Additionally, they helped us move from Amazon Elastic Load Balancer (ELB) to AWS Lambda.

On our website, users can search for apartments based on filters, interact with a map powered by Google to search for apartments, and book tours or apply for selected apartments. Additionally, they can tag apartments as their favorites.

We worked with three teammates from Aleannlab: a frontend developer, a backend developer, and their CTO.

I found them through online research. They aced the technical interview, and in the first couple of weeks, they were able to make good progress, so we kept working with them.

We spent about $50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in May 2022, and the project ended in February 2023.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Before working with Aleannlab, our Lighthouse performance score on mobile devices was around 15–20, and they were able to increase it to 99–100. We also maximized other Google page scores, such as our accessibility, best practices, and SEO, reaching 99–100 points on those scores.

Aleannlab’s work also improved our Ahrefs, a website technical health score. Before working with them, our Ahrefs score was around 10, but they helped us bring it up to 96–97. Moreover, they were able to increase our Google page speed scores.

As for cost savings, Aleannlab was able to reduce our AWS bills by 80%–90%, which was huge. One of their developers came up with a clever way to move from Amazon ELB to AWS Lambda to reduce those costs even further. Additionally, migrating from MongoDB to Digital Ocean helped us reduce our database costs by around 75%.

How did Aleannlab perform from a project management standpoint?

I would give Aleannlab perfect scores for their project management. We used monday.com for project management, as well as Google Meet and Google Spaces to communicate.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Aleannlab’s frontend development work, as well as their ability to fix bugs in record time without creating new ones, were impressive. Compared to other developers, Aleannlab was very good at improving our code and resolving bugs on the frontend. They also had experience in everything I asked them to do, so they were able to work very quickly. Moreover, they knew how to set up our backend and architecture in the simplest and most cost-effective way possible.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The page rankings on Google didn’t improve immediately. However, I know it wasn't their fault.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Reduce the scope to your needs to optimize your project as much as possible. For example, if you need a simple website, use Webflow or Bubble.io. However, if you need dedicated developers to build a complex website for you, I highly recommend Aleannlab. You’ll be better off with them than with eight out of 10 other development agencies.

We created some wireframes first with the help of Margarita (UX designer) and then finalized them with the stakeholders. Then Oleksii and Luda worked on the back-end and front-end of the app. Key deliverables were newer version of our current web app, mobile app for sales people, monitoring app for our new customers and kiosk app for our old customers. Technologies used were node.js, reacjJs and react native.

The web app was being used by our Engineering and Sales team and they were very satisfied with our new app. Aleannlab took all the suggestions in consideration and made changes to the app regularly.

Building the pages on WordPress was a must and included in my package of services was a custom plugin to allow the pages to be loaded faster and it kept my load speed and structure at a grade "A" from GTmetrix. From the landing page to the Graphic was outstanding.

While respecting the non-disclosure agreement (NDA). Please note that the following description will be generic to avoid revealing any confidential information. We were tasked with developing a project that had a strict deadline of one month, but due to certain circumstances, the timeline was reduced to just 15 days. 

The project involved integrating React.js, a popular JavaScript library for building user interfaces, with OpenAI, an advanced artificial intelligence platform. Aleannlab for designing and implementing the application architecture to ensure seamless integration between React.js and OpenAI. This required careful consideration of the data flow and communication between the front-end user interface built with React.js and the powerful language processing capabilities provided by OpenAI. In addition to the integration, Aleannlab was also responsible for creating a robust and scalable database to store all the information generated by the application.

This involved designing an efficient data model and implementing the necessary database infrastructure to ensure reliable data storage and retrieval. Throughout the project, Aleannlab adhered to industry best practices, including rigorous testing and quality assurance processes, to ensure the stability and reliability of the application. Despite the challenging time constraints, our team successfully delivered the project, meeting the deadline and satisfying the requirements outlined in the NDA.

This optimization contributed to a smooth user experience and improved overall efficiency.

Alex, the lead developer had incredible skills; we had dozens of calls and the work was done during the calls in an incredible way!
