Please describe your company and your position there.

The Music Conservatory of Coeur d'Alene (Idaho, USA) was founded to support, and grow, well-rounded education in the musical arts. What sets the conservatory apart from other music schools is its organized program designed to teach and monitor student growth.

Accreditation for college entrance applications and other higher level programs are a great benefit for the student musician. A unique feature of a conservatory is the collaboration with other musicians, teachers, and students. This collaboration provides growth and training in areas the student wouldn't normally have access to if taking private in-home lessons. I am a volunteer and advisor to the Executive staff.

For what projects/services did your company hire Aisconverse, and what were your goals?

We needed to get our message and services out to the public. The goal was to have an easy-to-navigate website for the student, parents, and community members.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

The prompt response and ability to provide ready-to-launch ideas was a huge factor in choosing this vendor.

From concept to creation of the final website, and it's evolving state and need to update materials, the team was ready to go. It has been working smoothly since we first met. We're extremely happy with the results and grateful for the prompt attention to ongoing additions that need to be made in a timely matter.

One. Alexey. Lead designer and webmaster.

Increased enrollment of students.

Alexey has excellent response time. He was the utmost professional, quick, and influencial partner. 

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What is most impressive is Alexey's time to respond; it is quick and reliable. I'm starting to think he never sleeps! His ability to communicate clearly and effectively is a tremendous bonus. There is no doubt he understands exactly what we're trying to achieve. I am delighted and happy to be working with him.

He makes my job easy. I wish I had known him years ago while working on another project... If you want great website work done professionally, in a timely and reliable manner, Alexey is the person for you!! Highly recommend!

None that I can think of.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the director of innovation at a company that does consulting, strategy, innovation, design, and software robotics.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Aisconverse?

We first hired them to augment our team to accomplish a client’s project. At that point, it was 1–2 people from their side that we worked with. Since then, our relationship has turned into cutting-edge work around design and animation.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They’ve created around five websites from scratch at this point, one of which they handled entirely on their own. They are tasked with UI/UX design and frontend web development, using PHP, CSS, HTML, and JavaScript among other technologies. The main technology we use with them is WordPress.

What is the team composition?

We’re working with around six people right now. There were four team members plus Alexey (CEO & Founder), who acted as a creative director.

How did you come to work with Aisconverse?

They use a website called Seamforce.net, which is a well-known location to find templated websites and WordPress themes. We had some smaller projects at the time that allowed us to leverage templates so we wanted to see if we could connect with them.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested around $50,000–$100,000 with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working together since January 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Some of our most innovative, award-winning work has come from working with Aisconverse. The creative directors at my company say that Aisconverse’s work is some of the best they’ve ever seen. We’ve won at least six major design awards.

They’re very timely. We’ve seen them be especially so on the interactive design elements of the projects. We can move five times faster with them than we can with just our internal team.

How did Aisconverse perform from a project management standpoint?

They always adjust to whatever tool we use, which includes Asana and Jira. Alexey stays on track and has a good understanding of Agile and Waterflow, adjusting to the work manner we need for each project.

Time difference should be a factor, as we’re on the opposites sides of the world, but it’s never been a negative factor for us. We find time to overlap, whether it’s really late or really early meetings.

We communicate over Google Chat and Google Meet, as well as emails.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Beyond design, they have the ability to execute on those designs. All their prototypes have been solid.

We just created a company podcast for the first time and needed to build a website for that podcast. They’re building it on a daily basis, and we get to see live updates every day. Even when we’re doing work for our clients, we do incremental reviews of their work. Their team has a one-day turnaround on review cycles, whereas the industry average is seven days.

Are there any areas they could improve?

What would be really helpful for our team to be even more comfortable would be even more opportunities for video conferencing. This would allow us to include them in even more projects

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Trust their process, design, and ability to be innovative in their approach to design and development. Additionally, take a blue-sky approach, meaning don’t constrain yourself to anything. They can build whatever you want. This pairs with the previously mentioned trust in their abilities.

Aisconverse has been an incredible partner in assisting us with Wordpress design and development when our shop is overloaded.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I had worked with AIS during my time with another digital agency. We also had them work on simple website projects and complex internal animation and custom development projects.

We had a kickoff meeting to discuss the sitemap, creative brief, scope, timeline. From there we managed the project in Asana with a Kanban Board to manage different phases of the project. We had weekly meetings to check in on progress, edits, and budget.

Our main point of contact was Alexey O., he managed his internal team and then communicated back with our team.

The client loved the new site and flexibility on how it was built. The site was optimized and tested to current standards.

We used Asana to manage the project and organize all communication related to the project. Alexey's team was responsive and provided timely updates.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Alexey and his team do great work that is both efficient and modern. Being able to work through one contact, even though there is a whole team at AIS, kept things on schedule and professional throughout.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We had a few, minor technical issues that were immediately fixed by their team.
