BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the Director of Operations, India at SenSen Networks Ltd, an artificial intelligence solutions firm based in Melbourne, Australia. We specialize in video-IoT data analytics solutions. We serve retail and leisure markets in Australia, the USA, Europe & the Middle east.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Aero Business Solutions (ABS)?

Our website was created a long time ago and had become outdated. We have an in-house design team that was able to come up with a rudimentary design concept. We hired Aero Business Solutions to refine the design concept professionally and develop the new website. Our goal here was to deliver information about our company and products to prospective customers and investors in an organized and efficient manner and improve overall website engagement.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We looked for web developers in Australia as well as India. We received multiple proposals for the job but finalized Aero Business Solutions as they came highly recommended. I was in contact with Ahmed (the project manager) throughout the proposal process and was impressed with his industry expertise, experience, and overall approach to the project.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

We conducted a thorough discussion and Ahmed and his team and worked on finalizing the initial design concept. Adobe XD was used to refine and finalize the website design. We conducted multiple feedback sessions to make sure the design was perfected before the website development process began. Most of the design feedback meetings were conducted online through Google meet and subsequent design refinements were carried out promptly by Ahmed and his team.

Once the design was finalized, the website development began and we were able to check out the first draft of the website in just 10 days. The turnaround time team Aero Business Solutions provided was exceptionally fast. Three more website drafts were completed before finalizing the development process.

Website functionality was also being tested and improved simultaneously throughout the development process. Once we were fully satisfied with the end product, the staged website was then migrated to our actual domain and was made live. The whole process of design, development, and launch was very smooth and Ahmed and his team were very receptive to our feedback.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I was in contact with the project manager Ahmed throughout the project and my design team was in contact with 2 designers, 3 WordPress developers, and 1 SEO strategist. So in total, I and my team were in contact with 7 people from Aero Business Solutions.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

After the design mockup was perfected, the developers at Aero Business Solutions developed an exact, fully functional replica of the mockup in the first draft on the staged website. This was great as our entire team could test the staged website and provide real feedback.

The new website design now is much more engaging, very well structured, and prioritized. We are already seeing a significant increase in engagement on our key services pages on the website. The old website has also been completely remapped on the new website so we have successfully retained all the old web pages in the new website as well. We are also seeing a significant spike in organic traffic to the new website thanks to the overall improvement in website UI and site structure.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

I was in constant contact with Ahmed, the project manager throughout the project. Most of the communication was conducted through Google meet and phone calls. We were provided with a timeline and every stage was completed well within the stipulated timeline.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I am very impressed by their commitment to complete the project while not letting unexpected bumps get in the way. I was also impressed by the team's expansive knowledge of the WordPress platform. Our old website had a plethora of plugins, integrations, and custom addons. They were able to completely understand the functionality and were able to replicate the whole setup in our new website perfectly.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I'm perfectly happy with the overall experience I had with Ahmed and his team. The feedback collection system was good but I believe there is some scope of improvement there in terms of collecting and prioritizing multiple feedbacks simultaneously. This could help speed up the feedback implementation cycle even more.
