I'm a services director for a company that offers an alternative to OEM maintenance (SMARTnet, JCare, etc). We provide a custom portal to our clients that provides ITAM and Helpdesk. Working closely with our end users, I oversee portal development, improvements, etc.

Our portal began experiencing an issue with emails not being generated and processed within the system. After 2 months of a previous developer not being able to find the source, we began looking for a new development company. Of course no obvious environmental factors had changed. We went through various rounds of finger pointing ultimately targeting AWS where the servers are hosted. In the end, the previous developer could not resolve the problem. Our goal with hiring a new provider was focused on 2 requirements. Proficient resources that could solve the problem. And then management tools that guaranteed regular back ups of the code, along with thorough documentation.

We found them through a referral and considered Aapna along with 2 other companies. Because the project was such a high priority, we needed a results-driven partner that was committed to providing a quick resolution.

Aapna deployed a solution that expedited understanding our system. The commitment was that Aapna would be able to resolve the issue within 30 days. 90% of the development companies that I interviewed proposed completely redeveloping the portal in new code. Yes, its challenging and risky to take on another developers work especially when documentation is limited, but I also believe experienced engineers know how and where to look. The first week consisted of standard handoff or onboarding. By the end of the second week, the issue was resolved.

There were 2 primary contacts assigned to my project, including a project manager and senior developer. Other contacts were introduced as backup to my core 2.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The problem was resolved by the end of the second week. This was a very welcomed outcome after nearly 3 months of frustration. Additionally, numerous other "Nice To Have" improvements were completed, and now we are working on additional features which will greatly improve the overall user experience. Even though the developers at Aapna were not the original engineers of the application, their understanding of the code's capabilities and tools used to manage custom applications allowed them to seemingly understand what and how the application was written, even better than the original developers.

The project management was perfect. The goal was to meet daily until we could scale back. We used Microsoft Teams to collaborate and Aapna was always punctual. It was clear to me after the first week of engagement that Aapna would have success.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Aapna's ability to take on a new code set so quickly and effectively was an extraordinary experience for me. Like I mentioned earlier, it really seemed as if they knew the application better than the original developers.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I really cant isolate anything that I would say they need to do better.

His goal is to give each client personalized service throughout the equipment lease process and support thereafter. He contracts with established business financing and equipment leasing lenders and investor groups to get the best commercial lending programs on the market.

To get a modern looking, updated website that is searchable and functional. Also a site that I could do minor changes to on our own.

Our site is not complimented very often based on how clear, updated and modern it looks. Plus it has an online application which serves to help clients register easily.
