The first project was to optimize app performance and decrease the size of the application. Athar and team were able to quickly reduce the size of our app by 33% while simultaneously improving performance. 

Kamran was tasked with building out a web version to allow users to browse products without downloading the app. He also implemented SEO techniques to improve our discovery. Lastly, he built an internal admin portal to allow our support team and team members to better manage orders. 

The final large project the team worked on was an app redesign where they implemented a full app overhaul of new style and user experience.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The size of the app on the App Store decreased by 33% due to optimization efforts by the team. Our internal efficiency improved drastically and the time saved responding to customer support inquires significantly decreased from the team portal enhancements. The UI/UX of the app was overhauled, an effort spearheaded by Athar and team. This led to a 30% increase in orders in the last several months and a 25% decrease in customer support tickets.

The team consistently delivered projects on time. If any were delayed, it was clearly communicated ahead of time why a project was more complicated than the initial scoping. The team was also able to quickly pivot to assisting with bugs or other quick projects that took priority over other work.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The ability to adapt and quickly implement a solution that was needed by the team. For example, we were unable to release new versions of our app until a guest browsing mode was implemented. Athar was able to pause other work and role this out in just 2 days, freeing our team up to continue to roll out other features.

Are there any areas for improvement or something AALA IT Solutions could have done differently?

The team had strong communication and fast implementation. There were a few instances with additional testing prior to submitting for review would have caught additional bugs and saved QA time. The team quickly resolved this by bringing in a QA resource.

Measurable outcomes were the successful release of iOS and Android apps, both built on React Native.

The project was managed online, using Slack communications, along with a simple bug tracker software. The project was a major refresh of Sitepics 1.0, which served as a reference - this was provided along with specifications for a new UI and new features.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Aala was a delight to work with. I have tried OS app development contractors in the past and had issues with poor communication skills and a lack of desire to understand the project and project deliverables. 

Aala Solutions CEO, whom I had the pleasure of meeting via a Zoom call, told me he advises new hires that the customer is their friend; the customer is important because his success will become our success. I don't believe this is a throwaway line, as I could sense that attitude coming through in almost all my communications with Aala Solutions.

I was very happy with the result and continued to use their services on a second project.

We required a custom ERP to cater the needs of our entire operation. This involves our vendors, partners, different locations, order processing, online carpet designing, yarn estimation, and complete production life cycle of the carpet. A system which can continuously evolve for our ever changing needs, also future proofing so this can be updated with latest updates. 
The decision to go with Laravel Framework and EmberJS was put forwarded by AALA which helped us achieve the required results. This application is deployed on our VPS and AALA have also managed the server where different PHP extensions are compiled from source and also OpenSSL is used for Google SSO integration.

This showed us the overall picture of where things stand and all completed and ongoing tasks. The communication is very open and whole team can directly respond immediatilly. Besides GIT, other channels of communication and updates was through Zoom, Slack, WhatsApp and email. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and dedication to meeting our needs have exceeded our expectations.
