I'm the head of development at a London-based broker-dealer in the financial sector. Our company has about 200–250 employees.

What challenge were you trying to address with AA Software Solutions?

We needed more development resources to help us with our projects.

What was the scope of their involvement?

AA Software Solutions provided one developer who worked on a few different projects. They worked on server-side, web, and software development. Our projects involved a variety of technology including C#, a .Net framework, and Angular on the client side. 

Most of our projects focused on creating applications for internal use. In some cases, we developed products in scratch. At other times, they helped us add features to our existing applications. 

The developer from AA Software Solutions provided a complex variety of services. He worked in conjunction with our in-house developers and analysts. They also provided us with a tester a few months into our engagement. 

What is the team composition? 

AA Software Solutions provided one developer for staff augmentation. Our office is in London, and he collaborated remotely from Poland. We also worked with a QA tester a few months later. 

How did you come to work with AA Software Solutions?

AA Software Solutions applied for the position. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in May 2018 and will finish by the end of the month, February 2019. Our engagement will last about eight months in total.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

AA Software Solutions assigned us a resource who essentially felt like a member of our in-house team. He was highly proactive and worked his hardest. Working remotely poses unique challenges, so he always made an effort to ensure we had great communication. 

How did AA Software Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

AA Software Solutions didn't provide project management services, but the resources they assigned us worked well with our internal development team. We communicated very effectively. They met all our deadlines, and we could always get ahold of them. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The developers from AA Software Solutions impressed me the most with their communication skills and proactivity. This was the first time we outsourced development. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Not really. We work in the financial markets where business can get a bit complicated, which is why we decided to stop outsourcing. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I'm not sure what advice I would have.

I'm the owner and CEO of Nikey.by, which sells car parts in Belarus and Russia. The company started in 2010.

For what projects/services did your company hire AA Software Solutions?

AA Software Solutions worked on our main internet portal. We had to implement new services, fix bugs, and partially redesign the current application.

What were your goals for this project?

We needed to incorporate internal payment systems to simplify orders. At the same time, we wanted to fix bugs in our catalogs and listings and improve the UI. Some of the pages also had to be redesigned (e.g., listings of car makes and catalog parts, images, and other catalog details).

How did you select this vendor?

Several vendors worked on this project. At the time, we were searching online for companies but weren’t sure what services we needed. Once we had the opportunity to work with AA Software Solutions, we decided to partner with them exclusively. We’re still working together.

Describe the project in detail.

The full project involved our global portal of car parts, which we sell to individuals and for companies. The project is using different services who are providing the list of parts from different seller. So, the project is providing the full list of parts for any car.

What was the team composition?

We needed a single, reliable developer. AA Software Solutions provided a resource on an agreement basis. He does good work, and we haven’t needed to conduct any additional testing.

What outcomes or results can you share that demonstrate progress and/or success?

The internal/external payment system was integrated into our system. In addition, the redesigned mail catalog included all the new features that we requested. AA Software Solutions also fixed a lot of bugs in the main product listing and improved database and code-performance issues.

How effective was the project management?

Their project manager was always accessible to solve any issue related to the development process, change the requirements, or add new tasks to the sprints.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They’re always available to chat and eager to solve any issue.

What tips or recommendations do you have?

At the moment, I don’t have anything critical to share. I think they’re a great company for our market.

We've been automating banks since 1993 and now we have one office located in Belarus with over 50 emloyees. All of our customers are in Belarus. I'm a Chief Operating Officer and a project manager.

Our customers need web applications for loan request creation, but we specialize in desktop applications. We do not have a team for developing web applications, so we needed a third party team. 

What were your goals for this project?

The solution had to mirror the functions of our desktop application for loan request creation.

We conducted in-depth market research of all software development companies. We decided on AA Software Solutions based on their experience and quality.

Describe the project in detail.

AA Software Solutions designed, developed, configured, and launched an application based on our requirements. We were worked with an Agile / scrum development methodology. Each step of development was discussed in detail.

What was the team composition?

The project team had three people. We always had feedback and fast responses according to our needs. They proposed using an Agile approach during the development and it was the correct choice.

What outcomes or results can you share that demonstrate progress and/or success?

Our application was developed and launched according to our terms of agreement. We satisfied our customers' needs with a new approach for providing loans.

How effective was the project management?

The project management was very impressive because we were always getting both the technical and non-technical explanation of one task or another. Communication was conducted on Skype, Jira, and Apache Subversion.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The most impressive thing about AA Software Solutions is their effective explanations. We never had any additional questions or concerns after our discussions.

What tips or recommendations do you have?

During our work with AA Software Solutions, we didn't notice any lack in development, communication or process in general. We are glad to have met such partner on our journey.
