Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the senior VP of marketing for a nutraceutical company. We manufacture and sell health products, supplements, and more.

What challenge were you trying to address with 12South Marketing?

We were looking for a full-service marketing company to help us with our online efforts.

12South Marketing helped us with social media marketing and email campaigns, and they also migrated us from WooCommerce to Shopify.

What is the team composition?

We worked with three people from 12South Marketing: the owner, the co-owner and developer, and an account and social media manager.

How did you come to work with 12South Marketing?

12South Marketing is a local resource because we’re also in Nashville, Tennessee. We originally found them in a local marketing publication and reached out to them to help us with the Shopify migration. They had experience in our industry, and they had worked with another nutrition product company.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent close to $100,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them around December 2019, and we stopped working together in March 2021, when we were doing a transition.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

12South Marketing’s efforts led to an increase in our online sales and conversions. A lot of our work wasn’t trackable in the beginning because we were migrating from another platform, but we soon started seeing a 5%–8% monthly increase in sales.

How did 12South Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?

12South Marketing’s project management was great. They were great communicators and did great work; we were very happy with them. We communicated via phone calls, text messages, and emails, and we also met in person when necessary.

What did you find most impressive about them?

12South Marketing was very hands-on, and they cared about our business’ success.

Are there any areas they could improve?

12South Marketing’s design work needed improvement. Their design skills were good, but they weren’t great. However, they were a small company, so their resources were more limited than others.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I definitely recommend working with them. Set clear expectations and get their feedback to know what they’re capable of doing. Communication is always key.
