We are a marketing solutions provider with a focus on value added products and services for tourism and hospitality focuses providers & businesses. We manage strategic programs on behalf of global travel providers and match their guests with a network of restaurants, retail outlets and attractions in major tourism destinations.

We hired XEO to rebuild our 3 branded websites as well as 3 respectively branded mobile apps from the ground up in a manner that centralized all systems and solutions for both the user as well as the back office management.

Our primary goal was to enhance the user experience by offering more interactive features and benefits from the web and mobile tools used to support our custom marketing products and solutions while simultaneously driving scale-able efficiencies from our back end management of these tools and systems.

Xeo Dev has worked on many projects for us. When we first started working with the XEO Dev Team, they helped us transition from a previous development team that was limited on their ability to push the limits of our original technology solutions.

They flawlessly were able to take over all aspects of our then, existing web and mobile solutions while simultaneously helping us develop a solid road map towards the rebuild of our 3 branded websites as well as 3 respectively branded mobile apps from the ground up in a manner that centralized all systems and solutions for both the user as well as the back office management.

With David and Ray taking the lead from the high level needs, scoping and overall architectural road map to align with our unique and customized business needs and requirements, together they seamlessly also managed all of the behind the scenes skill set required for our project in a manner that allowed our internal counterparts to only be involved at each milestone.

They essentially did 95% of the heavy lifting for us and allow us to stay focused on our core day to day business objectives throughout all projects' developments.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Both the business and technological solutions that XEO Dev helped architect, road-map and then they ultimately executed & delivered for us have revolutionized our position in our unique space with some of the most advanced experiences for our end users and internal teams alike. The final results gave us a competitive advantage that was equivalent to an advancement of easily 5 years ahead of anything our competition could contend with.

Effectively, XEO Dev drove 95% of the project management and required limited high level interaction with our organization at various & strategic milestones. Their master understanding of not only the projects at hand and the various technologies required to execute our solutions, but also their clear understanding our the unique nature of our business allowed for extremely limited friction during every phase of development.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The flexible and open-minded mindset exhibited by the team ensured that we had the best possible solutions. They were delivered with zero surprises. Their detailed pre-planning and business development prior to the start of each project was such a pinnacle component on the then seamless execution of the subsequent builds.

Their strict adherence to the old adage, "measure twice, cut once" is an asset that assuredly contributed to the fluid execution of each milestone straight through to final deliverable. Unprecedented planning and road-mapping!

While every organization has areas that could be improved upon, specific to our experiences with XEO Dev where our expectations were consistently exceeded, we honestly can't identify any glaring deficiencies.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our client wanted to replace their paper records with electronic medical records. XeoDev used PHP and Java to develop a medical application for us. The backend is running on a website and the frontend is running on multiple tablets. The tablets sync with the backend, so if you don't have access to a tablet, you can go online and update the records. There is also an electronic signature feature. XeoDev helped us test the app and clear out all the bugs.

I worked with about four members of their team, including a project manager.

We found them online. We did some small web development projects together and we liked the quality of their work, so the partnership grew.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our clients love the app. They don't have to worry about losing records and following different requirements for paperwork. They can also go back several years and look at old records.

How did XeoDev perform from a project management standpoint? 

XeoDev did an excellent job keeping the project on track and updating us on the progress. Often, they delivered ahead of our deadlines. We mostly used phone, video conferences, and Skype to communicate. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

XeoDev has all the necessary skills to deliver large-scale and small-scale projects in a timely fashion. They're very capable and knowledgeable, so we could rely on them.

Overall, they've done a great job.

Know your requirements upfront and explain to them what you need. They will deliver it–no matter how complicated the project it.

What challenge were you trying to address with XeoDev?

I came to realize that our firm wanted a software solution that didn't exist yet. We needed a professional to create it for us from the ground up. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

After we came to XeoDev with our idea, they took charge of the entire process of creating it.  Our concept centered on how a new methodology for legal document management. During our initial discussions, we explained how certain functions should take place. The team discussed using technology Java and building the software on a MySQL server. 

After I proposed our concept to David (Founder and CEO, XeoDev), he took it to a completely different level.  They not only fully understand our vision, but also found an actionable way to create it. 

For our solution, XeoDev created a SaaS web application and selected AWS for hosting. Our software is designed to manage and organize documents based on their visual appearance as opposed to file identity information. 

Even though technology isn't my area of expertise, they helped me learn a lot throughout the process. When we realized I was going in the wrong direction, he helped me get the software and my mindset aligned with our goal to become more efficient.

David was my primary main point of contact. He assigned other resources to our project as well, but I don't know what their roles were. I would guess that the CEO did almost all of the work.

We worked together about six years ago in 2013.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The software XeoDev delivered exceeds what I ever imagined it could do. It works exactly as we intended it to. Using the product has increased our productivity considerably. We can accomplish projects that usually require an extensive timeframe within just 2–3 hours. The SaaS cuts down on the time required for certain document management processes by about 50%–70%.

I don't believe a system like ours had ever existed before XeoDev programmed it. Rather than just writing the software I requested, they thoughtfully considered how to further streamline the process I was trying to improve.

How did XeoDev perform from a project management standpoint?

XeoDev performed phenomenally from a project management standpoint. They responded to our questions and feedback appropriately and completed all their work on time and within the budget. 
 
Our main forms of communication were through phone and email. We met in person on many occasions and also used Trello to manage the project. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

On top of an underlying basis of full competency, XeoDev's creativity stood out to me the most. Knowledgeable and innovative, they went above and beyond simply following directions to improve the final product. 

The CEO was highly involved and interested throughout the whole process. He is amazingly insightful and thoughtful. I appreciate that he took the time to figure out what I truly wanted to accomplish. XeoDev completely outperformed our expectations.

We had an idea for an application that could serve our clients and needed help developing it.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They’ve been involved with us from the start. The software we produced is unlike anything else in our industry, and is essentially a tax platform for government contractors. Our clients have to be very meticulous about how they spend tax dollars and must analyze all the prices they propose. The application creates documentation for use in regular government audits.

I came to the table with a basic idea and scope for the project, and they translated all of that into the technical jargon that would bring the project to fruition. They helped with wireframes and prototypes, and they developed the final product, which is a web-based platform. I believe it’s built with Laravel and PHP, but I’m not sure of all the technology they used.

We have two main points of contact on their team.

The project started in March 2015, and we launched publicly in January 2017.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve received a lot of accolades recently. At the kickoff, we showed some of our new clients the software and heard audible sounds of approval and amazement. That sort of response doesn’t usually happen for this kind of software. A user recently told us that the software saved her hours in her process, and we’re pleased with the feedback overall.

How did XeoDev perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management is a clear strength for them. They work well as a team and have a great process. The hardest part of hiring a software developer is usually the project management aspect, but they put a lot of effort into upfront scoping and document creation that really benefited the final results. Most of our communication was through phone, email, or Trello, and we also met in person.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their approach is atypical to most software developers, and they are more of a mix of business consulting and development. They understood what we wanted to do and came back multiple times with improvements to our basic methodologies. The synergy between our teams was incredible. Thanks to their ideas, we have a much better platform.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Whenever we had an area we needed them to work on, they made immediate improvements. I don’t have anything negative to highlight about our experience.

We believe that our program has revolutionized the college recruiting business. It has huge application in other areas, and we plan on expanding our service lines to tackle those other industries.

We typically interact directly with the founder and use Trello extensively for our collaboration. We have a productive workflow between our teams. We have enjoyed working with them. They brought great knowledge of business strategies to be implemented in our master vision. They were great at providing additional value above and beyond the scope of the project.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They understood the complexity of our problem and were able to provide solutions. We’ve worked with developers who are poor communicators before, and that’s because they don’t grasp the long-term plan and don’t always share the passion for the project. XeoDev is the opposite. They were invested in a long-term partnership.

No. We have nothing but praise for them.

We had a need for development and marketing. Development was our main challenge.

What was the scope of their involvement?

XeoDev’s scope included building a platform with three parts. The platform includes a workstation for students where they can log in and communicate with each other and with our staff. It also features a scheduling component.

I gave them my requirements and sketches of what I needed, and they developed the WordPress site using PHP. They didn’t provide web design; I provided most of the pictures and other content.

XeoDev also performed tuning work on SEO content. The work was strictly related to organic SEO.

We have worked on a few projects since then. We are in discussions about building another, larger platform.

The professional can sign up and pay for subscriptions to display their practice information. A back panel allows the Administrator to review and manage professional information.
