On a scale of 1–10, their quality is about a 6–7. I don’t see them as the top agency out there but they’re not the bottom either. They’re good.

How did The Workshore perform from a project management standpoint?

There could be better communication in their code reviews. Otherwise, the communication is generally good. We communicate via email and Zoom.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They have a lot of really great talent. They have a plethora of engineers that can work on multiple types of software, which is good.

They could understand the role of the client and what they’re looking for. They could also be more transparent, depending on the client’s needs.

My advice is to communicate extremely well and delineate all requirements prior to starting.

With regards to the migration to Shopify, above all, we wanted the store move to be completely smooth. Before we asked TheWorkshore to to execute the project, we agreed upon the following goals to be achieved: - Setting up the new store in the shortest time possible before our sale season would start - Enhance the overall customer experience by improving the user interface

Initially, we got in touch with TheWorkshore through a referral. Ever since then, my team and I have continuously seen our offshore team producing quality work. When the migration project was finalized, we knew that we had to involve TheWorkshore for this milestone as well.

The idea was to work together and TheWorkshore made that easy. We set up an initial meeting to discuss our needs and the timeline. We are a seasonal business, so we needed our site launched and ready to go with no errors no later than September. We sent our visions and requests to TheWorkshore and they created a mock design for our site.

After very little changes, they were ready to get started. Their job was to handle all migration from our previous site, the full development of the new site, install all extensions, connect third-party suppliers, such as our gateway applications, and do continuous testing to ensure everything was working.

We provided the basic information, descriptions, and credentials for TheWorkshore to implement. They also found issues within our previous site and made suggestions to improve them on the new one.

For the store migration project particularly, we were given a full fledged team that were experts in their respective fields.

This includes:

1 Magento and Shopify developer, 1 UX (front end) developer, 1 UI /UX website designer, 1 Quality analyst and 1 Product manager.

Since the launch of the new store, we have seen a steady rise in sales. Additionally, several of our customers have told us about how they find it much easier to browse and purchase on the online store. The Workshore has definitely helped us achieve our goals!

Clear and effective communication is always on top of TheWorkshore’s list as an offshore team. This is certainly one of the reasons why we love them. During the execution of the project, whether it was updates or questions, we always got quick replies from them. The team was also quite flexible in its timings for certain discussions.

Though it will be hard for me to sum up the awesomeness about TheWorkshore in one word or so, we would say that overall, the offshore team is extremely passionate about what it does. We just love how everything they do is with the intent of helping our store grow. We also added last minute changes and requests on numerous occasions, and they handled each one easily. What were your goals for this project?

The goal for ChiroBlaze was to create a website and apps that would ease social media management for chiropractic staff members who were either too busy or untrained in creating effective social media marketing. We aimed to provide a professionally-designed library of customizable chiropractic-themed content, automated scheduling for pre-planned monthly marketing, and simultaneous one-click sharing across multiple social platforms. In addition, we required back-end web support for our in-house designers to connect, review and publish content internally.

We were initially referred to The Workshore through a local web developer that outsourced a few of our smaller projects we had going to their offshore team. It was our first experience using a team outside the U.S., but we were so impressed with their work ethic, availability and intellect, we chose to employ dedicated team members from the Workshore team to work with us full-time for the ChiroBlaze project.

The Workshore successfully created an advanced and superior social media management system for Chiropractors. They also provided additional talent when our team was lacking man-power and resources for creative designers and article contributions.

They go beyond limited directives by taking initiative and looking for ways to improve the product. They tighten logistical planning, improve the user experience and provide professional consulting solutions.

The Workshore team assigned to ChiroBlaze was always captained by a dedicated project manager, 2-5 developers and 2-3 creatives.

The size of the team generally depended on what projects we put on the table. With each new request, they were able to support our visions at every level by interchanging more or less people to the project as needed.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

We received positive feedback during both beta testing and live implementation of ChiroBlaze from existing Provider participants. The Workshore implemented Jivo Chat into the website so that consumers were able to connect to us immediately through chat, conference, or email with any user-experience feedback, so that even when there was an issue, it was handled so quickly and efficiently by both of our teams that it was still considered a positive encounter because the response time was immediate.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Coordinating international communications was arranged through web-based project management software, Trello, and messaging software, Slack – which can both be installed on desktop and mobile, so we were able to stay in touch constantly. As needed, the teams could also connect through direct email, phone consultations and Google Hangout meetings. We did not experience a single issue with timezone differences or language barriers.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The most impressive aspect of The Workshore is their workforce itself. The people that make up their team are top-notch, educated, highly-skilled workers that are dedicated to their professions and the tasks at hand. They're also simply kind, respectful and thoughtful with their words, as well as their work. This is the easiest, most productive team I've ever had the pleasure to work with.

From start to finish, I cannot think of a single area for improvement for their team. Every setback we faced was rooted internally and they were able to lead, guide and direct us toward a finished product.
