The project yielded a number of positive outcomes that demonstrate progress and success. One of the most notable outcomes was that it generated significant interest in our smart cart solution. This increased interest allowed us to share the data behind the solution in a more visual and impressive way, enabling us to engage with potential customers and partners more effectively.

Additionally, the new design of the cart monitor and dashboard were well received, resulting in improved usability and a more modern and professional look and feel. Overall, we believe the project was a success, and we are excited to continue building on the momentum generated by the exhibition.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow between our team and theirs was highly effective. From the outset, we established clear communication channels and project timelines, which helped us to stay on track and avoid any potential bottlenecks. Our weekly Zoom calls provided an opportunity to review progress and discuss any issues, and we were able to make real-time adjustments to the design based on feedback.

Additionally, our use of Figma allowed for collaborative design work, which helped to streamline the development process and ensure that everyone was on the same page. Contrary to all best practices, we had to start implementing the apps without ready-made designs. Despite this time pressure, after a short training period and a longer checkoff workshop, Widelab quickly delivered very good designs and within 3 months we had finished screen designs for all major flows in both Android and iOS app.

We got a styleguide and final screen designs for all flows for all plattforms (Android, iOS, Web).

They seemed to understand the vision and were extremely professional in the process.

They closed partnership with my CEO, for a couple of Landing Pages. When we were ready to develop the whole website, there was no question that Widelab would continue to be the vendor for a bigger project. We started by having a conversation regarding brand and vision. Then how we would like to website to look, and all the functionalities, such as pop ups, videos, gifs, galery, icons etc. We shared a document with the copy, and simple but direct instructions for the designs.

They were independent and proactive into creating both the website and the design according to our requirements. After the first draft in FIGMA on how would the website would look like, we had another meeting, point out the changes we would like to have, and our communication shift to figma, until we were done with all the comments. After delivery, they continued with us for website updates. We have a great slack communication, and we keep updated.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We didn't have anything before in order to compare, this was the first website try.

It was according to what we wanted, which is "less is more". We communicate a lot more with quick responses communication such as slack and figma comments, than over zoom or meetings, and that fits the company style, and how we like to work.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They always find the solutions to the issues we raise. Also, they have a fantastic team of professionals with great knowledge.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The only thing for us is the pricing, that even though they are amazing and they deserve what they ask for, for us, a small startup in the making, maybe a different package, directed to clients like us, would make us more comfortable with the wallet. But again, that's an "us" thing, not them. They are great, and we love working with them.

I had worked with Widelab in a previous role and they were fantastic - the team is creative, they are top notch for website and all digital, and development team is great.

For the branding work, we filled out a questionnaire and went through several rounds of logo design. Website work was a collaboration and we checked in weekly, and they were very understanding of copy edits, etc. We help weekly development meetings to get the site up and running un under 7 weeks.

We love our new logo and website, and have gotten tons of positive feedback already on the new look. We have great branding assets that will support our team in a period of growth for us.

Calls and slack were great. We had a few hiccups between design and development not always being aware of my updates, but these were corrected very quickly.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The development team is super fast and very good. - made it very wasy to work with them despite the time difference.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The time difference is the only issue we had with getting things turned around quickly. Team still delivered in 48 - 72 hrs, but24 hrs turnaround not always possible.

I am the CEO of a software company. The company develops solution for trading and monitoring financial assets.

We had two different projects. One involved rewriting our existing code to increase the speed of our software and lowering its CPU load.

The other involved improving our scanner that finds lucrative assets our software can use for trading. Both projects were a complete success. We substantially improved our scanning capabilities, increased our speed and lowered our CPU load by 90%!

We had 90% increase in speed and more than 90% decrease in server load which is incredible. This enabled us to work with a much wider range of assets at a fraction of the cost.

We love the management style! They were hands-on and responsive. This was a very complicated project so when we ran into difficulties they they were very quick to help and resolved the issues very efficiently.

The level of developers. Super high end, smart, eager to learn. Full on professionals.

I can't think of anything they could have done better.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Widelab has been an important partner in helping us scale our company to what it is today. Our growth trajectory for the past year has been quite rapid and it’s because of the resources they have in place for us.

How did Widelab perform from a project management standpoint?

On top of having a project management board, we communicate with them through a Slack channel so working with them has been smooth. They’re quick, responsive, and they consistently deliver high-quality products for us.

Furthermore, they’re solid when it comes to adhering to our budget and timelines.

We’re very impressed with their design skills, as they’re very well-rounded and consistent.

One thing that they’ve been working on is standardizing their process so projects with clients can move smoothly from day one.

How did you select this vendor?

We searched for online vendors who can provide the best UX/UI for our product. After several rounds of discussion with some vendors, we are satisfied with this vendor based on the company portfolio, design skill, communication, and approach to delivering the product.

Since we both are using agile methodology, the project was started and ended up with easy steps. First, we just explain our project goal and what we want to deliver to our customers. The vendor was working with their internal team, conducting the research, finding out the competitor advantage, and sharing the result within 2 weeks with few options for us. Then we meet, discuss and make decisions on the provided options. The iteration is repeated until the project close.

As the customer, we do need to see more options before we can make decisions. Sometimes, we have only 2 options and it is not a complete set.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Widelab started by developing our brand book, color palette, and new logo. They created print materials, presentation templates, and business cards, too. Their main goal was to establish our brand’s look and feel. 

After that, they built our platform using Weblow. Using our branding as a reference, they designed the different pages of our interactive website using Figma. As for the features of our site, we required some special animations to be integrated, and we also wanted our site to be mobile-friendly.

Then, our internal team took care of all the content. Most of Widelab's work is done, but we constantly update and change things so we keep working with them.

We didn’t focus on tracking quantifiable metrics. It was enough for us that Widelab succeeded in creating a customer-approved website that improved our digital presence and impressed our entire team.
