 Weelor's mandate is to handle the project end-to-end, from the initial redesign to coding the new application in native Swift and Kotlin. A key goal for us is ensuring absolute stability and retaining our user base during the transition. Therefore, their scope also includes ongoing maintenance and rapid bug fixes to deliver a stable, high-performance product. Weelor's scope of work is all-encompassing. They handle the entire development lifecycle, including all design, backend, frontend, and mobile application development. The main deliverable from this initial project is the MVP version of our application. Based on the success of this phase, we have already planned to continue our engagement with them for post-launch updates and future development. The central feature of the MVP is a complete monetization engine, specifically the ability for users to purchase and manage subscriptions directly within the music application. The strategy is to prioritize this core functionality above all else. Weelor goes above and beyond to deliver this robust subscription system first, which allows us to launch, engage our user base, and begin generating revenue immediately while subsequent features are still in development.

 While the product-focused metrics will come after the MVP release, the primary measurable outcomes at this stage have been centered on project execution and transparency. A key success indicator for us is achieving 100% real-time visibility into the development process. Weelorum provides complete access to their project management tools, including Jira for task tracking and Confluence for documentation. This allows us to continuously monitor progress and track milestones as they happen, ensuring the project stays perfectly aligned with our vision. This seamless and transparent collaboration is a critical measure of a successful partnership for us. The most apparent early indicator of success is the improved development speed. This, combined with their project managers' proactive efforts to ensure swift bug resolution, has given us great confidence in the project's momentum. This progress has been validated internally as well. Our CEO has consistently expressed positive feedback on both the process and the results so far. Moreover, the most important piece of feedback I can share is about their commitment to quality. Unlike our experiences with other firms, there has been absolutely zero corner-cutting with Weelorum. What challenge were you trying to address with Weelorum?

I hired Weelorum to build a mobile application with Flutter for both iOS and Android. I provided the designs.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Weelorum reviewed the designs and suggested some updates. Then, they planned the work and implementation, breaking it down into pieces and milestones. The team implemented the application step by step, including testing, quality assurance, and releases. They also built a simple backend for the application.

The main milestone was the initial application release, which contained all the basic functionality, including authorization, authentication, and the ability to go through the main user flow. Then, we had milestones around key functionalities that were added to the application.

We had several issues with App Store and with Google Play Store. We had some challenges when it came to publishing the application and following all the rules. Several times we also had bugs in production that we had to resolve.

For most of the time, there was one engineer. At different times, we had two more engineers working on the project.

I found Weelorum through Upwork. The team had good reviews, a similar timezone, and similar technologies to the ones I wanted. They also had a pretty good portfolio and were cost-effective.

The project lasted from April 2024–June 2025.

Weelorum implemented the application features one by one, and the app was continuously released to the stores and users. We had around 300 active users and creators on the platform.

How did Weelorum perform from a project management standpoint?

Weelorum’s project management was quite well organized. The development team brought their own setup in terms of tools that worked well, such as Atlassian tools and spreadsheets. We met regularly and discussed all the issues. The team proposed different solutions that I could choose from, and they followed the steps to resolve the issues in a timely manner.

We had regular meetings, and they assigned a product manager who helped organize the work and ensured we weren’t losing anything. Our primary form of communication was sync meetings twice a week, plus a Slack setup for asynchronous communication.

Although it could be more flexible, sometimes I felt when we needed to change how we work, then it didn't go that great to adjust to our needs. But overall, their working framework was really good.

The delivery price and predictability were great. They matched the initial estimates.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could’ve proposed and implemented better observability, responding to issues and rolling out upgrades. We had some issues with migrations and data consistency on the existing user base.

MATSUKO are a leading technology company developing and publishing the worlds first holographic presence apps requiring only a smartphone to see live holographic presence of real people. As Product Manager, my role is to lead the team to deliver the business goals to solve customer needs. I am responsible for managing teams and external resources to complete development and publishing of the software service and MATSUKO apps.

The scope of work agreed was delivered as requested, on time and with good quality. When any bugs or polish were identified, or the designs were updated. Weelorum was very responsive, flexible, and professional.

Project management with Weelorum was very convenient. They were added to our project management software, so we could track and see progress on all deliverables. In terms of managing the forecast, we had some gantt chart forecasts and spreadsheets to manage cost of the work and time required. We also had a shared instant messenging tool to communicate instantly. They were responsive to email and any communications, right through the projects.

Weelorum delivered on the work agreed with a high professional standard. They were very responsive in their communication and management of the project. They were flexible and made changes and fixes as requested with a positive attitude and professional approach.

We are very satisfied with our work projects with Weelorum. We have no areas for improvement. We will continue to hire them as an extension to our development team resources, to further improve the MATSUKO app.

We conducted an extensive search through UpWork for mobile app development agencies with project management, UX/UI design and development capabilities and shortlisted approximately 5. After gathering cost estimates and conducting an interview, we went with Weelorum due to their iOS design/development expertise.

We appreciate their can-do attitude, patience, and approachability. Down to earth and easy to work with. Reliable and professional. Excellent.

Mostly QA. Sometimes I have to spend a ton of time finding bugs and identifying where there are issues, but we are working with some major constraints, since we need to integrate bank accounts through Plaid and these are US based, so they are unable to link them on their end.

Within 3 months native apps were released on both platforms. The improved design and experience boosted our user acquisition and specially retention. Three months after we will be releasing a new set of functionality that has had an amazing reception among our beta testers

Weelorum has a relaxed but effective approach with respect to requirement definition. They saved me time by translating my requirements during our weekly meetings and slack communications, into user stories themselves. They use Jira as PM platform and communicate their estimates through google spreadsheets.

The quality of their development is impressive. They always executed the Figma designs with extreme precision.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

In my opinion, they show a slight overconfidence when it comes to estimating the project scope and complexity. Although it is something they can improve, it wasn't so significant to not keep collaborating with them in the future

For an innovative Inventory App, we needed a new UX / UI approach. The innovation and challenge, at the same time, was to break with existing UX patterns, while still balancing with what the ordinary user is used to.

We searched online for a number of design companies, that also have experience in app development them self. (That is, they should understand not only design but also the required development). Also communication skills and project organizational skills have been important in the selection process.

• Stage 1: We reviewed jointly the existing App and existing requirements.
• Stage 2: Based on this they provided an estimate for all project stages. (And they stayed at the end within their estimates.)
• Stage 3: Iterative Approach. Based on some extensive documentation on the business / app use cases by us, they developed the UX/UI design.
• Stage 4: We had weekly meetings on aligning our and their ideas. They were very open on feedback and criticism but also fought for their ideas (which is both good).
• Stage 5: By using our feedback they updated and aligned the design, which in the end resulted in the final design.

We are very satisfied with the UX/UI. We currently implement it. We hope that also our users will be happy with the UX/UI and easy to use for them. But this will only time show.

We are very happy with the communication and work with the Team from Weelorum. It is very easy to talk to them and to think about new ideas. They stayed within their forecasted time estimate.

They are very friendly and skilled people with an interest on the subject and project. As we had an iterative approach and to rely on their expertise, it was important to trust them. They helped us by explaining everything and being patient with our non-conform approach as we had chosen. They were very open to feedback and criticism, but also fought for their ideas (which is both good).

We searched for mobile developers on upwork for our budget and found ~10. Contacted all of them and chose Weelorum, because they responded quickly, explained everything perfectly and we believed in their responsibility.

Communication was very easy, almost like with friends. We had a zoom calls once on Monday, where discussed plans for the week. They showed a screen if necessary. Time costs were sent to email — in the form of a table, where current costs and approximate costs were visible for the entire project.

They made a time estimate and adhered to it perfectly. We liked the clarity.

They had to publish themselves - although they offered their help. But we would like to be led by the handle in this process.
