We wanted to reduce costs for certain items and get into manufacturing some bags that we regularly bought from local factories. We had issues with the factories, and they wanted to increase prices all the time. So, we decided to outsource the manufacturing of the bags.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We decided to buy the fabrics, cut them, and prepare the parts to distribute them to stitchers in rural areas of Thailand to do the work for us. This way, we didn't have to hire employees and pay wages but rather pay for the job done. We would train and provide pick-up and delivery for the parts and collect the finished products once done.After the project started, it looked interesting, so we had the idea of creating an app to manage the work we sent out to stitchers and handle the entire flow of the business from purchasing raw materials, keeping inventory of every part, and distributing work to our partner stitchers. We wanted to manage the work with them through a simple and highly effective app.Webrulers Infotech LLP has created the app and synced it in the backend with Odoo so that all entries done on the app are automatically reflected in Odoo. The app is so simple to use that any employee with a phone can use it easily.The app stores inventory information of fabric rolls with different sizes and lengths. When rolls are taken out to be cut, the app estimates the amount of fabric left. The app also handles the inventory of all parts, stitcher contact, job orders, and delivery information sent directly to the app on the stitchers' phones.During pick-up, we can do a full or partial pick-up and record rejected pieces. The app also creates payment orders for work done, shown directly to stitchers on the app. We can also see an inventory snapshot of every material at every process of work and at all locations.

Webrulers Infotech LLP has saved us a lot of time and reduced all manual stock-keeping and raw material calculation to be distributed to the stitchers. The app has saved us a lot of time and presents us information on inventory and job orders outstanding and billing very efficiently. We've seen a lot of improvement and time saved in every area. We now have ease of work and less time doing paperwork.
