We saw very strong results during 2020 and the first quarter of 2021. Following the Apple privacy changes our ROAS has been affected disproportionally as the majority of our customers are iPhone users. Since mid 2021 performance has been unpredictable but Webistry has worked hard to find creative strategies to unlock growth. They have also been willing to restructure the format of the partnership or go the extra mile with creative work.

It's effective. We receive monthly reports and bi-weekly status calls.

We first went through a planning stage, where they learned about our product and acquisition funnels, and planned a strategy and budget for the first few months. Then they launched the activity and slowly ramped up while making sure they were hitting our targets every step of the way. When I requested that they focus on a certain metric, they made adjustments, and shifted their focus to match our goals. They delivered results and reported them to us in a transparent manner, keeping me in the loop any time they wanted to try something new, or run with a new video etc.

We had a meeting once every two weeks, and communicated on an ongoing basis over slack. They are very responsive and pleasant to communicate with.

We were selling the travel version of our supplements after COVID-19 lifted and needed help with social media marketing and landing page creation.

What was the scope of their involvement? 

In terms of landing pages, Webistry created the most beautiful and stunning designs using Unbounce. Afterwards, they integrated Shopify into those pages.

We also did loads of digital ads with Webistry, including Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, and Google Ads. Beyond execution, they helped us strategize what products to focus on and pivot to, as well as perform customer research. The travel supplement industry changed a lot because of COVID-19, and Webistry helped set our new priorities regarding products. Specifically, they helped us switch from powdered vitamins to capsules.

What is the team composition?

There were three people involved. We spoke to the founder a lot; he was our main point of contact and also the project manager.

How did you come to work with Webistry?

They were recommended to us by Unbounce. We read a case steady of theirs describing how they reduced CPA from $100 down to $1–$2, and I knew we had to work with them. They were very impressive, and it justified their higher than standard cost.

How much have you invested in them?

We spent at least $15,000 USD.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from July 2020–September 2020. Though we’re not currently working with them, we want to be working with them in the future on more digital ads. When we pivoted our products, we ran into a snag with the quality that caused us to stop running all ads. Once we stabilize our offering, our aim is to work with them again in the future.  

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Webistry was really good, but the metrics from the ads weren’t great. We were paying $100 for a $30 average cart value, so we pretty quickly had to turn the ads off because we couldn’t afford them. We learned that it had taken them about a year to get the cost from $100 to $1 or $2 for the company from their case study. We didn’t have the budget to carry on spending that much money on ads that weren’t converting even though we knew they could have gotten us there.

The landing page is converting really well, however, and we ran a successful subscription program off of it. When people reacted with mixed feelings to our product, Webistry helped us pivot to a new offering.

It wasn’t their fault that the product needed reworking, or that we didn’t have the necessary budget. Webistry’s team drove traffic, and the traffic converted. There was just a market-fit problem. We were 100% satisfied with Webistry.

How did Webistry perform from a project management standpoint?

They were brilliant, and I think they are probably the most professional agency that I have ever come across. We communicated through old-fashioned email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They build phenomenal landing pages. I wouldn’t even begin to attempt to build anything in Unbounce without them. They were just fantastic.

They managed to do something which I don’t think other agencies have done: integrate Shopify into a landing page so that a customer can buy a product without having to go to Shopify.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I generally can’t think of anything. They were truly exceptional.

Because they offer landing pages and digital ads, you want to go to them with a clean slate and ask them what they think you should do. If you go in with an open mind and let them create the best strategy for you, then I think you will get the best out of them. Let them work without interfering. You won’t be disappointed.

The workflow was consistent and regular. Reporting could have been more regular and better prepared, but they started to improved this towards the end of the project.
