We were in need of SEO services. This is an area that hadn't been a focus for the company and were starting from scratch.

They came recommended to me within my network and after visiting their website I scheduled a consultation. Their pricing is listed on the website for most of their services which I found to be a great help when deciding.

We had an initial consultation to discuss goals. Once a proposal was signed, we were assigned an account rep which is when the work began. WebFX does their homework and prepares for meetings which I appreciate. A priority list was created on how we could improve our website and hours were used per month to tackle those elements. Early on there was a weekly meeting to go through deliverables which shifted to monthly once after the initial phases.

We have one main point of contact for SEO which I love. Our account rep, Shannon, is an excellent communicator and explains the "why" behind certain tactics so we can better understand their importance. She coordinates with the other subject matter experts to accomplish our goals. This was invaluable given that my company doesn't have those skill sets in-house.

We have seen our SEO sessions triple from the start of the project. This was accomplished through several methods with WebFX helped us fix analytics, meta/title tags, and added additional content various site pages to help consumers find us.

Communication has been excellent. Meetings have a purpose and that is always communicated in advance. Their web platform and dashboard houses so many tools and it is easy to use.

Their digital services offering is wide. We have since utilized WebFX for help with social media and website redesign based on their SEO work.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Honestly, I would not change anything for this SEO project. We needed help and WebFX has provided everything on time and within budget.

We built the site from scratch. Took us some time to see the results but we received over 20x more traffic and climbed up the domain authority, from the 30s to 55. This is a massive achievement!

Very. We have weekly calls and constantly communicate throughout the week.

They have lots of content producers on staff and a vast network of publishers.

In the early days of SEO, there were some issues with link building methods employed, but they showed absolute cooperation to put in extra resources and effort to resolve the problem.

Our engagement with WebFX started off with a series of discovery calls in order really get a feel for our goals. Once a gameplan was drafted by them, they worked with us on revising it. Once we have approved that they went in and implemented their strategies and campaigns across multiple channels.

We have an account manager, and depending on the task we needed complete we would occasionally work with a rep from that team (web design, technical team, integrations team, etc).

We have seen great improvements in our platform. We have added over 100 keywords to the top 10 pages and are seeing great return from our PPC leads.

We handle everything through our account manager Cheyenne. She is phenomenal. She will email us, as well as update our management software with anything we may need. The time frame was shaky at first ,however once our scheduling got ironed out we have had no complaints.

Our account manager. We've never had an account manager who has cared and showed more devotion than Cheyenne.

It has since been corrected, but the only complaint we have ever had is that work got so booked we were sometimes left waiting.

We had compared a couple different vendors, and WebFX dazzled all involved. Their services and results appeared to be unique and valuable.

Our website was assessed, WebFX team (Clayton Trout) worked closely with our own web host/dev, while at the same time was working with our doctors to obtain search terms that were specific to our own practice and location. That data was eventually integrated into our website and new pages and content. Analytics were transparent and explained the entire way through. As well, Raeann Walquist started a Facebook ad campaign on our behalf. Both projects have yielded excellent results and significant traffic increases to our website, and ultimately, our practice.

We worked with a few techs at the beginning to help give access to our sites, but throughout, we have mostly worked with Clayton Trout, who has been an integral asset to the success of improving our SEO results. Raeann Walquist leads our social media campaigns, and is also wonderful. Both team members are always super courteous, helpful, and provide just the right amount of communication.

The SEO improvement projects, as well as the social media campaigns, have been very successful (over 100% increases in traffic to our sites)

Both reps are very communicative. Towards the beginning, there were meetings probably weekly, maybe a bit more. But at this point, we meet monthly. Reporting is always communicated to us timely, and explained.

This type of company is the first I have had the pleasure to work with and the results have been amazing. As mentioned, one of the best aspects of working with WebFX is the team members and their willingness to help.

New Western is arguably the first company to aggregate foreclosure data and apply core algorithms to identify investment opportunities. I have used them for a client in the past and they are very organized and on the ball. I can always count on them to communicate and keep records.

We began by taking a look at the basics. We reviewed low-hanging fruit, things that needed to be fixed, and keywords we should target. We already had a handful of ideas in place, but they added to that. We blended our strategies together and started chipping away at tasks fairly quickly.

A large portion of our monthly budget is used on content creation, backlink building, and optimization. They have been extremely flexible on where and when hours should be used - we've even requested a few side projects they appear to be able to handle.

I work with primarily the internet markets (account manager). She manages everyone on their side, and I rarely have to do anything outside of reviewing items on my end.

We are still early in the campaign, but I've been more pleased with the work done the results gathered yet. Links built have been great, the content returned has been well written - I expect we will see increases in traffic/leads over time.

WebFX uses an internal project management system. They keep everything very detailed and mapped out in this platform. This is a pro/con for me. I like to be able to see everything in one place -but if you are at all tied to your own system like Asana, you may find it hard to keep up with everything they are completing unless you ask for a monthly breakdown.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their organization-level and ability to flex in and out of plans. Ultimately, they really want us to succeed, so they are willing to do work outside the original scope. They will involve other parties and departments in their team if needed.

We’re a B2B equipment sales and service outlet. We sell compressed-air products like air compressors, dryers, etc. We sell and service those products in eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, southern New York, Delaware, and northern Maryland.

I’m the general manager. We’re part of a much larger corporation now, but we’re fully functional as a service outlet.

What challenge were you trying to address with WebFX?

After partnering with a vendor for our SEO and web design that didn’t deliver enough value for the cost, we partnered with WebFX to drive digital leads through SEO.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

WebFX provides PPC and SEO services for two websites. This involves ongoing maintenance for both WordPress properties and blog writing. I’m looking for them to refresh the sites in the near future as well.

Additionally, they provide digital marketing consulting. Rather than me having to identify the latest technologies, they recommend them to me, along with updated strategies based on what they believe will gain traction in the market.

What is the team composition?

First, we started with Ariana (Internet Marketing Consultant). We talked with her every two weeks about how things were progressing and what they were doing. She was very enthusiastic.

When Ariana left the company, I started working with Angie (Internet Marketing Analyst). She’s just as enthusiastic as Ariana, and she has a very high level of knowledge. When I ask her questions, she’s familiar with the answer. She understands technology quite well.

I haven’t interacted verbally with a lot of other folks within WebFX, but I’ve emailed with lots of team members.

How did you come to work with WebFX?

We were a family-owned company when we first joined WebFX. At the time, we couldn’t add all the sales staff we wanted, and we realized that the internet and our website were becoming increasingly important in how we received leads and incoming calls.

Our original website was designed in 2006 and it was simple. The designer was also providing our SEO, but it wasn’t getting us anywhere. When I came on board, part of my responsibility on the marketing side was to evaluate our website and SEO efforts.

We signed with another company at first in 2014, and they redesigned our website. They made a lot of promises about how much our fee per month would bring in for us — how many pages it would add, blog posts, and everything related to SEO. At the end of the first year, we didn’t see a noticeable increase in the amount of attention our website received, either based on new people coming to the site, increased page links, or enhanced time spent on site. It didn’t feel like we were getting our money’s worth. At this point, in 2015–2016, we performed a more comprehensive effort to find a good SEO partner. We chose WebFX because they were local and had experience in the industrial B2B space.

How much have you invested with them?

We have two websites, and we pay about $1,500–$2,000 per site per month. The work has expanded as well to include a maintenance package, including WordPress updates and more.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working together since September 2017.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’ve reached the first page on many of the search criteria we were focusing on. We can’t always correlate search or site visits to direct sales — it’s unclear where some of our leads are coming from — but from a site ranking standpoint, everything has been very satisfactory.

WebFX delivers what they promise regarding blog content, web page enhancement, and everything else possible to ensure search engines find our site.

How did WebFX perform from a project management standpoint?

Because they’re so proactive, they generally report to me what they’ve done before I ask for an update. They’re very good about communicating what their plan is for every month for content, links, and more. I don’t have to talk to them about a lot of this stuff, as they’re already actioning out the plan we discussed 2–3 months prior.

What did you find most impressive about them?

WebFX asks for my feedback, which I haven’t experienced with previous vendors. They’re the first to calibrate how I feel about the work, the people, and more. This tells me that WebFX really cares about improving their service.

Their speed also stands out. Whenever I go to Angie and ask for more leads in a particular region — Delaware, for example — they recommend a series of options: site enhancements, PPC efforts, etc. WebFX takes action, and all of a sudden, we start seeing inquiries and page rankings improve. When we set a course, results follow fast.

Additionally, they listen to their customers. I forwarded an article to Angie about Google changing their algorithm, and she informed me that WebFX had already made the necessary changes to my site to benefit from the update. I can’t ask for anything more than that. WebFX is on top of everything coming down the pike.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’m hard-pressed to come up with anything they could do better, as I haven’t had any complaints so far. The logical answer is that they could be more affordable, but I’m fine with what I’m paying. I don’t have any ideas for them other than to continue being proactive in searching for ways to improve their customers’ success.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If you’re not too familiar with SEO, then start off having frequent calls with WebFX. Angie and I have a monthly call, but weekly or bi-weekly communication may be helpful if you don’t have excessive experience. I thought I’d done my homework when we started with WebFX, but I hadn’t.

We needed someone to develop our website and manage our SEO, PPC, and digital marketing campaigns.

What was the scope of their involvement?

WebFX revamped our website and is currently providing us with SEO and PPC services. We started with a discovery phase to review design proposals for the website and implement revisions. We then moved to creating and migrating content from the old platform and image gathering.

At the time of launch, we were moved to a separate contact who’s currently managing our SEO needs. Furthermore, they’re providing us with blog content, link building, and they’re regularly reviewing the website to make sure our keywords are ranking high.

In addition to that, we’re currently working together on a PPC campaign, as well as geofencing and remarketing.

What is the team composition?

We initially started with a point person for the discovery phase and were then transferred to another point person for web development. After that, we met with an SEO specialist who then became our main point of contact for SEO, PPC, and geofencing.

How did you come to work with WebFX?

My company was already working with WebFX before I started working here, so I’m not really sure how my boss discovered them. I believe he chose them because he was sold on their unique process — they provided real transparency in terms of the quality of their work and project costs.

What is the status of this engagement?

The ongoing partnership started in December 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Since partnering with WebFX, we’ve gained about 1,100 new users to the website, which is up 43% from the previous year. We’ve also tripled the number of quality leads and our organic search traffic has been steadily increasing. Moreover, our bounce rate went from averaging 60% to only about 25%.

How did WebFX perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re very responsive and if I ever have any questions or ideas, they’re always there to accommodate me. It’s been a very pleasant experience working with them, and it’s obvious that they always strive to make their customers happy and successful.

They use Marketing Cloud SF as their primary tool for project management, and we usually communicate through email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re really impressed with the fullness of their services. They provide us with a complete package and are able to seamlessly scale the work up and down depending on our needs.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’m happy with the way the partnership is going, and I can’t think of anything they could improve on.

I'm the Communications Manager for an animal feed company that sells our products nationwide through retailers and on our websites. I manage all facets of the marketing department, from web design and development, social media, public relations, digital inquiries, digital campaigns, advertisements, ad budgets, trade shows, and packaging design.

We wanted to increase our website traffic and conversion rates (we wanted more folks to click on the "Store Locator" feature on our site) and in general, we wanted to increase our brand awareness. We hired WebFX to achieve these goals by launching us into a SEO/SEM campaign, designed to drive traffic to our site and to our Store Locator page, and then in turn to our retail partner's product pages.

We also needed ADHOC assistance when it came to web design/development, and then a full-blown e-Commerce project built from start-to-finish.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We sourced a few vendors that we felt would do a good job working with us, but once we received the deliverables and presentation from WebFX, it was a no-brainer. They made us feel like our hands would be held throughout our entire working relationship with them, and they have delivered on that so far. The price was moderate, but we felt fair for what we were being promised.

First, WebFX wanted a thorough education not only on our specific business and products, but on our industry as a whole, and we really appreciated them taking the time to learn. It enabled the rest of the relationship to build on a solid knowledge of how and why we do what we do.

Then, we began talking about keyword-rich phrases and content that we could throughout our site, which we eventually included (and continue to) with the help of the WebFX copywriters. We have a monthly meeting with our internet marketer where they explain anything on the site that they saw opportunities to improve and what they implemented and why.

When we went through the process of putting an e-commerce store on our other website, WebFX again spoke with us about pricing and deliverables, and we easily picked the options we wanted. We now have a functioning platform where customers can purchase their animal feed straight from our mill, which had not been done in the 75 years we've been in business thus far. Pretty neat!

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We love that even with issues not pertaining to our SEO campaign, that we can approach WebFX and their vast team of digital media experts to help us out using billable hours. It's such a relief for us to know that if something happens with our site or there's a question we can't begin to answer, that WebFX will respond to us quickly and efficiently to resolve anything we are inquiring about, in ADDITION to delivering on our actual contracted project goals.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We did feel that communication could have improved when it came to our e-Commerce project and that we were left with a few questions and issues unresolved, but overall, we are happy with the result of the project and the platform that has given us the ability to sell our product straight from our property!
