Paige has been great at managing our projects and keeping in communication. If we have questions or wish to make changes, she is always an email or phone call away. She gets back to us immediately with all relevant information and is extremely knowledgeable. We also appreciate that we get monthly analytics so we can keep track of our progress.

It's hard to mention all of the things that have impressed us. They have excellent communication, results, and knowledge/information about what we would like to improve. We would recommend this company to anyone wishing to reach a wider audience online.

Nothing, they are great.

I work for Blue Orange Compliance, a boutique cybersecurity firm that specializes in helping organizations in the healthcare industry stay compliant and be more secure. My role is client development executive, so I’m in charge of bringing on new clients in any way that we see fit. Right now, a lot of that involves marketing and bringing in new clients digitally.

What challenge were you trying to address with WebFX?

A lot of our sales structure in the past has been based around conventions and meeting people in-person, and that has all changed due to COVID-19.

We wanted to continue bringing in the same number of people, so we needed to take those in-person efforts and digitize them. We were hoping to bring in more people through the website, SEO, and PPC, and WebFX has been able to fill that need for us.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our digital presence was never super strong, so we didn’t know exactly where to begin. WebFX came in and started auditing what we currently had as well as our industry and competitors. From there, we created a game plan that outlined where we needed to be stronger.

They have created an ongoing strategy to increase our Google ranking. Also, we pay Google per click, but we want to make sure that those clicks are converting into potential clients looking for services, rather than just people looking for information. WebFX has also helped us implement and optimize our PPC strategy.

What is the team composition?

I work directly with a project manager. From there, the team just depends on what we need. If we’re building out web pages, our project manager uses internal designers. If we’re trying to create a video or graphic, then he goes to the video creation department. Then, if we need content, he goes to the writers and other creative resources.

How did you come to work with WebFX?

I actually did quite a bit of research. I was looking for companies to help with SEO. We wanted to reach more people digitally, and all signs point to SEO. WebFX was consistently coming up first in search results. For someone who wants to show up first on Google, I knew I wanted to check out a company that was achieving that.

They had a good sales pitch and a lot of deliverables. We’ve worked with marketing companies in the past that have lofty ideas but no deliverable action plans or statistical data to show, whereas WebFX does. That’s very valuable to me.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ll spend $35,000 on both WebFX’s services and Google ads within the first six months. About $20,000 of that will go to WebFX.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working with WebFX two months ago, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re seeing more traffic right now, but that isn’t converting into leads yet because we’re not optimized, and we don’t have our landing pages up or content going. I wholeheartedly believe that once we’re 2–3 more months in and we’re able to create what we need for content, that traffic will convert into increased leads.

How did WebFX perform from a project management standpoint?

WebFX is excellent. The person I work with is super responsive. I talk to him at least every other day, and often times every day. He’s always able to hop on a call. We can bounce ideas off of each other.

What did you find most impressive about them?

How deep they run their reports and how they’re pulling from the competition and industry distinguishes them. They don’t just say that they think something is going to work and explain why; they actually present the numbers to support why they believe the path they’ve chosen is the right way forward. If we decide to go in a different direction, we can run tons of analysis and reporting. Their backend, project management software, and marketing software are excellent.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Right now, no. Everything that they’ve pitched and offered has come through.

Any advice for potential customers?

Be demanding but flexible. They’re good to get stuff done. I had some PPC questions, so we hopped on a call to figure some stuff out, and now it’s working a little bit better. Some clients would just let it turn on and not think about it anymore, so I’d recommend being hands-on.

What challenge were you trying to address with WebFX?

We needed to increase the visibility and efficiency of our website. It was clunky, out of date, and difficult to update. We also wanted to drive traffic to the website and ultimately to us.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The initial phase of the website involved a complete website redesign. We liked one of our leading supplier’s websites, which we sent to WebFX as an example. They then mocked up a design and collaboratively established the specific attributes and functionalities that we wanted.

After that launched, we started the second phase of our work together. Aside from maintaining the website, they manage SEO and PPC campaigns.  We recently launched an advertising campaign between Google Ads and Bing Ads.

We mainly work with two people from WebFX. We frequently work with Zak (Internet Marketing Analyst) who writes copy and ads. We also worked with a project manager during the website design project.

How did you come to work with WebFX?

The head of our company researched different companies. WebFX is local, which was a driving force behind our decision. They’re neither a massive company nor a tiny company. That was another significant factor in our decision.

We started working with WebFX around August 2019, and the website launched around February 2020. We’re still working with them now.

One month after launching our most recent campaign, we increased our monthly unique website views from about 100–150 to about 450.

How did WebFX perform from a project management standpoint?

Whenever they give us a timeline or time estimate, they’re right on it. Their communication is also great. Anytime I message Zak, I get an answer within the day.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their customer service and turnaround times are outstanding. They quickly respond to us. For any request, their turnaround times are quick too.

Honestly, no.

Have a clear plan of where you want to go, but also be willing to adapt to the limitations your budget may place on a website.

Since launching earlier this year, we have seen an almost rocketlike upward trajectory. It has evened out a little, but it’s still very early, and I believe we will continue to see positive impact from their work. WebFX is doing a phenomenal job.

How did WebFX perform from a project management standpoint?

They are doing excellent. WebFX is prompt and on point, providing detailed reports. They have walked me through each step of the process, which I appreciate, as I’m not very tech savvy. Colton and I speak monthly, and he explains any changes they’ve made and makes sure we’re all on the same page.

They are professional and know how to execute. They listen to what I want, and then provide the insight and feedback they believe will be most successful.

We initially approached them to improve the type of traffic that we were getting. We had worked with other firms before connecting with WebFX, and most of them said they would generate a lot of traffic for our website. 

That works for most people, but for us, the relevance and qualification of that traffic are more meaningful in showing results. We wanted to address that concern with WebFX by working on the content and SEO in a way that would attract people who were our ideal customer.

They initially created a WordPress website for our main company, and they’ve now created two additional WordPress websites and managed the SEO. They’re also going to work on an e-commerce website for us.

They’ve had a good impact on our bottom line. Our lead generation is up 10%–20% year-over-year (YoY). It’s never decreased; it’s been a continuous increase. Additionally, we’ve gotten an ROI by securing returning customers, which justifies what we’ve spent with them year after year.

How did WebFX perform from a project management standpoint?

I speak with my primary contact on a biweekly basis to review results and to address any concerns I may have or tweaks I may want. She also provides a lot of suggestions based on her expertise. 

There’s a lot of communication and coordination between her and me for continuous improvement. Their communication is outstanding. It's clear and concise. WebFX knows how not to overwhelm you.

The companies I worked with prior to WebFX inundated us with meaningless information. The information that this team filters to me is exactly what I’m looking for. They’re also good at listening to what I want to change and working with me to get the outcome I’m looking for.

I’m the digital marketing supervisor for CTE (Carolina Tractor & Equipment). I manage all of our digital marketing initiatives across our company brands. CTE is the parent company of a construction division, Carolina Cat, a Caterpillar dealership in western North Carolina. We also have a power systems division, Carolina Cat Power Systems; a material handling dealership, LiftOne; and a number of small companies.

What challenge were you trying to address with WebFX?

We originally hired WebFX about four years ago to help with our SEO efforts for Carolina Cat. They have since proven to be an amazing partner in the digital space.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We expanded our services with WebFX from SEO to paid online advertising in the form of Google Ads, paid search and display campaigns, and geofencing campaigns. They’re handling our local SEO efforts as well as helping us to manage some of social media channels. Right now, they’re helping us with Facebook and Instagram for Carolina Cat, and we’re keeping our LinkedIn management internal. They handle content creation and manage the social calendar for organic social posts.

They provide support in digital marketing across five different brands. The team has helped us design a number of websites over the past two years. We’re going to be exploring YouTube advertising next year. 

They’re really helping us with brand awareness and lead generation through all of these mechanisms. They’re responsible for optimizing our sites to bring in more organic traffic, as well as running our paid advertising efforts to bring in paid traffic. The intention is to not only spread awareness of our brand, services, and product offerings, but to also increase lead conversions on our site to generate more revenue.

Their team is huge, and there are many people I don’t interact with that support us. I have a contact on their SEO side of the business, and she has a team of people that report to her. I also have two contacts on the web development side of the business. I have a project manager on the social side. I’ve engaged with a number of other individuals.

I joined the company four years ago, and they were hired prior to me starting. I was actually asked to assess them as a vendor to see if we should continue with them, because that trust had not been established yet. I believe they were a preferred vendor of Caterpillar at the time that we hired them, and they still are; I’d say at least half the dealerships across the nation use them. 

They’ve also recently become a preferred vendor of HYG, the OEM on our LiftOne side of the business they reach. A lot of the dealerships across the nation for HYG will most likely be transitioning services to them as well.

How much have you invested with them?

In 2021, we’ll invest about $150,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

I personally started working with them in August 2016, and we’re still working together.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We had about 8,000 followers on Instagram when we hired WebFX for social media services about two years ago, and we already crossed the 20,000 mark. All of that was done organically; we didn’t put any paid advertising behind growing our Instagram followers. We’re the largest Caterpillar Instagram account on the East Coast, and we only cover half of the state.

We've seen great results. We are always at least hitting benchmark, if not exceeding benchmark for targets.

How did WebFX perform from a project management standpoint?

In terms of project management, they are top-class. They're incredibly good, and this is consistent across everyone that I've interacted with at that company. They're all very responsive. They keep me and the project on track. They never miss a deadline. 

In terms of finding ways to optimize services to achieve optimal results, they're very proactive in their approach. They don't wait for us to come to them to ask for a service; they analyze how we're currently doing in the business and identify opportunities where we could see more results and grow further. They're very good at that, and it's always worked.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They're great about listening to their clients. I've worked with many digital agencies over my career, especially in developing websites, and I have often disagreed with almost all of them except for WebFX. WebFX is just a light year of a difference in terms of their whole approach to managing a web design project. Even their developers will get on the phone with us and problem-solve when that is not required. Their general approach to how they serve their clients is top-class.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. My concern a few years ago was that I’d heard from other dealers that they weren’t impressed with WebFX’s services. I was under the impression at the time that I hit the jackpot in terms of a project manager at the company, and that there might be inconsistency in the level of service we’d get from project manager to project manager. However, since we’ve expanded our services and the number of brands we’re working on, I’ve worked with a number of project managers at the company, and that level of service has remained consistent. If that was an issue in the past, it’s been rectified.

Any advice for potential customers?

I’ve spoken to several people who were considering hiring them as an agency, and I have highly recommended them to every person I’ve spoken to.

Take into account what they’re recommending; they’ve never steered us wrong, and they’re very price-conscious. They’re one of the most affordable digital agencies I’ve worked with, and they’re willing to work with you to get the most bang out of your budget. If they do make a recommendation in terms of ad spend or specific services that might work for your company, actually consider it — I’ve always seen results.

What was the scope of their involvement?

When I first came onboard, WebFX was helping us push our mortgage through Google paid ads and PPC ads. They’d created a landing page for us to draw traffic back from those ads to generate more leads. Since I joined the team, we’ve expanded our collaboration a lot. 

We wanted to improve our Google rankings and get our bank on the map. A couple of months ago, they began optimizing the coding and content on our website, so Google gets a better read.

Additionally, they’ve chosen 10 of our 35 branch locations to focus on verifying on Yelp, and they’ve also helped with things like Apple Maps, Google Maps, and Google My Business. 

Most recently, we’ve engaged WebFX to help us with our paid social media ads, on both Facebook and Instagram. The team runs three campaigns each month.

The rep we’ve primarily been working with is Megan (Digital Content Specialist), and she works with a huge group of people. Some members of the team work on backend coding, others on creating the landing page, and more. We’ve also recently started working with a rep for the social media side.

WebFX was working with my company long before I joined the team. However, I know the fact that our headquarters are located in the same city was a huge draw.

Also, when I first joined the team, they did their pitch when they introduced themselves, and I was amazed by the team. They’re very knowledgeable, and they know exactly what they’re doing.

I started working with WebFX when I joined the team in January 2020, but I know the partnership goes back to about January 2015.

WebFX sends us monthly reports, and we’ve never had a month where the report was negative. We’ve definitely seen an increase in web traffic, and the team is able to directly track calls and clicks through the landing page they built for us. 

Everything they’ve done for our local SEO is really going to boost our Google rankings. Last month, we saw a 27% increase in web traffic from social media.

How did WebFX perform from a project management standpoint?

We use a portal to track all aspects of the project, from timelines to completion deadlines and progress. It’s very thorough, and they make very clear what’s being done and when they’re getting it done by. Overall, they do a great job of keeping us updated in the loop. 

It makes my life a lot easier to have just one point of contact. Meghan is a blessing to work with. Sometimes I’m overwhelmed in a good way with everything she sends me in terms of reports, updates, and ideas. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

WebFX really are experts in what they do. I’ve worked with similar companies in the past and didn’t have a great experience, but with WebFX it’s always been positive. I’m never afraid to reach out to our reps if I don’t understand anything, and they always do a great job of explaining things I don’t understand to me. They’re very friendly and accommodating. 

Also, Megan works with a lot of financial institutions, so she understands the content we want. We really appreciate that she’s able to understand the specifics of working with an institution like ours.

I’m the marketing director for Aboff’s Paint Stores. We’re a retail paint sort on Long Island. We’re an exclusive Benjamin Moore dealer with 32 locations.

We’ve been around for about 90 years and have always focused on print and POS marketing. We recently launched an e-commerce site. My goal when I joined was to become as digital as we could. We hired WebFX to assist us with Google Ads campaigns, SEO, and content writing for our website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The first month of our engagement was spent getting to know our business and going through what we already had on our website. Our website was older, so we knew we needed a lot of work on it. They ran software on our site to crawl for bad links and identify 404 errors. They did a search to see how our site was ranking organically.

After that, they gave us several reports that outlined how we were doing. Over the following weeks after that, we set up a plan to tackle various tasks. They helped link to our website and are helping with content by writing blog articles and making sure we have the right keywords in the right places on our site.

They’re also digging into our Google Ads campaign to make sure that our ads are being seen. They’re remarketing with new graphics when we have sales.

We have a dedicated project manager, and she works with a large team with expertise in many different areas. I funnel everything through her, and then she interfaces with everyone from the content writers to the Google SEO experts.

My predecessor found them, and then when COVID-19 hit, everything was put on pause. So it wasn’t until I was brought on board that we reexamined the project. Our CEO already liked them.

With a smaller in-house team, we needed a bigger agency. We interviewed 3–4 different agencies before hiring WebFX. One of the main reasons why we selected them was that they assigned a dedicated project manager to our account.

I was drawn to their openness and flexibility. They also didn’t push us on services that we didn’t need. They built a package for us around what we needed to accomplish.

We wanted to track our ROI on marketing dollars. We were spending quite a bit of money with other vendors before and I realized it was hard for me to prove where that money was going and how much we were getting back in return.

What was the scope of their involvement?

WebFX does SEO, which includes content marketing, technical audits, keyword research, reporting, and on-page and technical SEO. They also do PPC management. In addition, the team has done web development projects and has supported streamlining account management efforts.

They’ve focused on conversion rate optimization (CRO) through different UI/UX best practices. They have their MarketingCloudFX, which is our backend user portal so that we can log in and see all of the work that’s been done

Alexa (Lead Internet Marketing Consultant) is our primary point of contact, and she recruits other team members when necessary. For the most part, she does a lot of the work herself. 

How did you come to work with WebFX?

I found out about them in 2014 when I was working at another company. I reached out to Tyler (Managing Director of Web Strategy) within my first few days at the organization, and he put together a proposal.

I chose them for this project because I had a pre-existing relationship with them, they were local, they had very competitive prices, and they had a lot more capacity to do what we needed which smaller companies didn’t have. Other companies were trying to do less work for more money, so it was an easy decision.

In our second month of PPC, we increased our revenue by 35% and decreased our cost by 28%, which was a big swing in terms of return on ad spend. We’re also up 40% over last year, even though we have less stock due to COVID-19.

WebFX does a great job of communicating and meeting deadlines. They’re clear with expectations. When I have an emergency, they get back to me within a day. 

They’re very transparent as far as what they’re going to do, how they’re going to do it, and why, which I really appreciate from a reporting standpoint. Alexa has an MBA and 20 years of experience in the equestrian industry, so we have access to knowledge that would otherwise be difficult to find.

WebFX picks the right person for the job. We got lucky with the person we have working for us — they’re the right fit for our company.

The team is good at not rocking the boat, but I’m the type of person who appreciates new and challenging ideas. They do a good job of appeasing the customer but not of throwing out new ideas.

Be familiar with the service agreement. Some customers are afraid to reach out because they think that it will cost them money to communicate. WebFX is there to support you and you’re paying for good service, so rely on your point of contact and don’t be afraid to ask questions or make suggestions.

As with any business, we’d like to move faster. Sometimes the deliverable dates are a little on the slower side, so it would be nice if we could move a little faster.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Set specific goals with WebFX because they’re very responsive when you can narrow down your expectations. If your goals are too broad, you may not get as much out of the engagement.
