The frontend was highly responsive across devices, with core pages loading in under 3 seconds. How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Several candidates were shortlisted, but they were the only ones to come back with a complete assessment of the project. It was clear that they had done their homework. They came to the table with proposals on how best to achieve my goals and worked with me closely.

We had several initial meetings, communicated via slack and defined the work to be done upfront. We had regular touchpoints and testing throughout the project to verify each task was completed. The website was built in React, Nextjs and mapbox as well as mongoDB. They also assisted a great deal with deployment and have supported post-launch.

Everything was done to a very high quality and work was fast. They happily revised based on feedback. They met and even exceeded sometimes all expectations.

I’m the director of a website that enables online services for our clients — our site works similar to marketplace platforms like Airbnb.

What challenge were you trying to address with Webethics?

I was looking for someone to design and develop a website for me. 
 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Webethics is building my site on a React framework — they’ve already deployed the project on their server, and they will be moving everything over to my server, which is on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

One of the key features that they are implementing is payment gateways for Paypal and Stripe. They’ve been pretty good at integrating these functionalities so far. Webethics are also making sure to optimize the platform for both web and mobile access, which is important for our core functionality. 

What is the team composition?

I work with three team members from Webethics, but I've primarily met with a single point of contact to discuss my requirements and their updates.

How did you come to work with Webethics?

I interviewed a few different teams off of Upwork, and my meeting with Webethics went very well. I described exactly what I wanted, and they got the concepts immediately. They also made additional suggestions about how platform features could be implemented, which impressed me. In addition, I thought that their sample websites were the best out of all the teams I interviewed. 

How much have you invested with them?

I’ve invested around $15,000 with Webethics so far. 

What is the status of this engagement?

I started working with Webethics in April 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

It’s a bit difficult to share exact metrics since the development is ongoing, but we are very pleased with the work that they have delivered so far. My technically-minded colleague has overviewed their work and praised their expertise — we have no negative things to say about their development. 

How did Webethics perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve been very good at project management. They communicate updates regularly, ask the right questions, take the time to understand our business requirements, and do a great job of keeping me in the loop with their progress. We’ve primarily communicated through calls, which they are always prepared for. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The most impressive thing to me is that they’ve been getting the job done well — they understand my requirements and deliver exactly what I ask for. I’ve also been really impressed with their communication and willingness to answer my questions at any time.
