I’m the CEO and project manager of Befaster. We’re a software company in Santiago, Chile.

We were looking for a software development team. We wanted to build a marketplace where people could buy groceries and food, similar to a delivery app.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Webethics performs front- and backend tasks using languages like PHP, specifically with a Laravel Framework. On the frontend, we use Angular, Ionic, and TypeScript. They’ve focused on web development, a little oriented to mobile app development.

The platform is a gastronomic app oriented towards sales orders. We provide tools so users can handle their operations better. People can manage things like sales and features that help improve restaurants’ gastronomic offerings.

What is the team composition?

We have at least four people working on the project. Additionally, the CEO is always ready to cooperate with and find a solution to complex tasks.

I looked on Upwork. After several meetings with many freelancers, I found Webethics. They had an excellent reputation, so I decided to engage with them.

We don’t have the app in the market yet, but everything we’ve worked on together is functioning well. We know when a developer isn’t good, and we’ve stuck with Webethics because we trust them. They take our ideas and make suggestions.

Moreover, the good thing about working with them is that we’ve advanced in our app development journey. They’ve delivered excellent work; if it weren’t for them, the app wouldn’t be what it is now.

How did Webethics perform from a project management standpoint?

Some complex tasks can take longer than anticipated, but the team has been responsible for meeting deadlines. They have great communication skills and are proficient in what they do. We feel comfortable working with them because we don’t have to worry about anything.

We communicate through Upwork and keep track of the progress through Jira. Also, we can quantify the work they do and see how they perform via a GitHub repository. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The most impressive thing about them is that they also make suggestions. When we have complex tasks, they find a solution. Other companies say it’s too hard or not convenient for them.

Additionally, Webethics’ rates are more affordable than in the US or Europe. They set a price, and it’s impressive because it’s worth the money.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, we haven’t had any issues; they’re great as a team.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

My advice is to be realistic about the deadlines. If they’re building a website, many templates can make the work easier. However, when you dive into complex tasks, you have to think of the planning because those things take time. You also have to look at the development team's size and consider that.

I’m the CTO and co-founder of Prosal. We’re an early-stage startup focused on solving the RFP for nonprofits. Part of my role is acting as head of product, so I lead all the product development.

The team has worked with us through beta launches and built features for our platform. Currently, they continue building our website.

We work with two developers and Harsh (Software Developer), who is our project manager. For the first 11 months of our engagement, we had one developer, but we’ve recently spun up another developer under the same project manager.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

I measure Webethics' success through our project management tools. They succeed because they're always looking for clarifying details and work very fast. As a startup, we need results quickly and are constantly changing things or trying new things out, and Webethics is really good at working quickly and well. 

We'd worked with some freelance developers and never had as much success as we have with Webethics. Finding a company that can do what they say while contributing to our long-term success has been refreshing. Therefore, I don't see the partnership ending in the near future. 

How did Webethics perform from a project management standpoint?

They deliver on time; the team works full 80-hour weeks and makes sure they get everything done according to our timeline. 

As for tools, we use Jira for our tickets, bug fixes, features, and asynchronous communication. We use Zoom to go over bigger topics, ask questions, and discuss things more deeply. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

One of the reasons Webethics is so successful is their specific attention to detail; it's something they do really well that makes them stand out from other firms.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I've been pretty happy with our success, so I wouldn't say there's anything they need to improve on. As long as they continue doing the good work they've been doing, I have no complaints.

I recommend Webethics for long-term projects. Although they can do short-term work, their skills shine through in understanding the product from the bottom up. Then, they can continue supporting it and building on top of it for extended periods.

Each day Harsh would provide a project update and request UAT if the component was ready.

The communication was impressive and in general, it was a smooth experience. When updating the site it was imperative that no user data was interrupted and Webethics did that masterfully.

In general, it was very well-managed. Minor bugs will always be present but their customisations are solid and any issues were fixed very quickly.

I spent a considerable amount of time interviewing different web developers…until finding Aarti. Her prompt, professional, and insightful responses stood out among the crowd, and I knew right away she was the perfect person for my project.

She did initial research to verify that the needed functionality would be possible, because APIs for other companies were involved, and then she sent a series of screenshots for the front-end design aspects and layout of the site, bringing it online shortly after receiving approval.

After that, we moved on to backend functionality, and she not only gave expert advice on how to handle each action the most efficiently for the overall flow of the site but then she implemented each action flawlessly. And whenever we encountered an obstacle, she worked diligently to find an optimal solution and ultimately brought everything to life on the site better than I was even imagining.

Aarti created a detailed plan for each milestone and adhered to it closely, but she also had no problem shifting course when needed due to unforeseen obstacles or jumping ahead because she was so efficient we often ended up ahead of schedule.

Superb. They addressed potential points for confusion quickly (often in advance) to avoid delays or obstacles and did an exceptional job anticipating and collecting the necessary information for the successful completion of each requirement so we were always on the same page.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We loved their dedication to completing the project in an exceptional manner, not just adequately. They really went above and beyond to make our website unique and easy to navigate. It's a highly functional site that's fun to use and will undoubtedly have high user retention rates.
