We put out an RFP; Steve reached out to us, and we liked the fact that he was local.

We started working together in September 2013, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We don’t have metrics to measure their work, but I’m always satisfied with their work. One time, the website updated by itself, and certain things went missing; they were able to take care of sorting that out for us.

We mainly communicate via email.

The fact that they’re local is what distinguishes them from other providers because we can meet face-to-face if I need to.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a semi-retired senior justice of the peace and owner of Brodie Speaking. I’ve been involved in campaigns for the last 40 years in trying to raise standards, and I published a book last year that talks about standards and social behavior in particular. I’ve also been campaigning about domestic violence and abuse of women and children, which I’ve published two books of, and it’s still very much my focus to this day.

What challenge were you trying to address with Webby Website Optimisation?

I suddenly launched into a state of poverty for a while, and Steve (Owner) volunteered to sponsor my website, email address, and he had a look at my computer.

Webby Website Optimisation built and developed my website from scratch.

What is the team composition?

I only worked with Steve.

How did you come to work with Webby Website Optimisation?

I came together with Steve through a mutual friend in Perth 20 years ago. I considered working with other vendors who were more local, but Steve was always able to satisfy everything I needed. He was always so compatible, and could access my computer over the net and solve my problems.

How much have you invested with them?

I invested $5,000 AUD (approximately $3,800 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

The project ran from January–April 2017.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I’ve never had a complaint from anybody regarding the website — the partnership was very ideal. Whatever I needed, Steve has always been there for me. He never complained, never questioned, and never sent me a bill — he’s a really decent man.

How did Webby Website Optimisation perform from a project management standpoint?

I’ve never had a problem with communication, and we typically talked through email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The most important thing to me is reliability, and Webby Website Optimisation has always met the challenge. The work was always spot on, clean, and professional so I’ve never had a complaint.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Apart from including me in his family, no I don’t.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I would say what I’ve always said to others, and that is, to be honest in what you do, and trust Steve.
