We gave full information about our idea for a corporate site, however, the Weband team offered some functionalities that we had not even thought of, and we did not know that they could be developed. We were very pleasantly surprised.

I’m marketing expert in Trisa Bulgaria. The company is a leading supplier of products in the oral care and hair care sectors.

We trusted Weband with the redesign of our website trisa.bg. The main objectives were building a visual identity similar to that of the Swiss branch of the company (trisa.ch), to solve all UX cases with the presentation of information to the end user and of course to bring the design in line with current corporate designs industry trends. By solving all the problems, Weband managed to create a clean and creative vision that is known by all Trisa customers in Bulgaria and the world.

We chose this vendor based on their past projects, design skills and the positive feedback received from other clients.

We had a kick-off meeting to discuss our goals and objectives. Then we received a design concept which we revied and confirmed. After that they send us the demo version of the site which we tested and returned final feedback.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The new corporate site gives more information to our customers about who we are. Shopping online is made easy thanks to the Gombashop platform. It is much more easier for out team to edit the information on the site, to use all the possibilities for digital marketing and analysis that were not possible before.

We used a communication platform in which we communicated with our project manager and observed the tasks.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The smooth communication impressed me the most. We received detailed information of each question we had.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There were some minor bugs like the google map visualization, but we let them know and they were quick to fix the issues.

I’m a manager at Magic Gathering “Golden Cat,” the biggest magic convention in eastern Europe. We have some other products connected with illusions and magic.

We needed someone to rebuild our website. We were redesigning the website every year and changing the logo, but we needed a new brand to keep using for years to come.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Initially, Weband Studio created our logo for us. After the logo, they made our website. We told them our colors and what we expected to see, and they did the development and design from scratch. We had 2–3 meetings before we started working. They built it on WordPress so we could update the text easily for the next event.

We’re currently talking about social media marketing as a future service.

We have a main point of contact, and we’ve met the designer.

I knew one of them, but I didn’t know he owned the company. A friend of mine told me they did a great job. After they gave me the first mockups of the website, I was surprised.

We started working together in February 2019, and our relationship is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We were awarded website of the year in Bulgaria, and we have feedback from magicians. When we had an event in February, everyone was surprised by the design and the logo. They liked that they could register on the website, and all the needed information was there. More importantly, the magicians are informed and satisfied with it.

How did Weband Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

The communication is perfect. We don’t have to repeat the information; they deliver on time, sometimes even before the deadline. We mainly communicate via email, but we can call them as well. They’re always responsive.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They understand what we need and always give suggestions, even when we don’t know what we need. We don’t have to explain it twice; they know the thematic of the website from the inside, and all of their team members are professional.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They should start working with mobile apps as well.

When you have an idea that’s not clear in your mind, connect with them — you can improve your vision together.

What challenge were you trying to address with Weband?

We had a project to build a simple website that offered basic information about a product and contact information. Even though we do web development in-house most of the time, we were a bit low on resources and had a lot of other tasks, so we decided to work with an outside company.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Weband developed a website for us. We had three major phases of development. First, they built the site and put it up for QA and testing. Then, we performed tests, and they fixed bugs. Finally, they delivered the final product.

After the site launch, the team offered us a one-month warranty to fix bugs and anything we might have missed. Currently, we’re addressing the last few issues. Then, they’ll provide us with six months of site maintenance.

I'm mainly in contact with the project manager. We've also had a few meetings with the designer.

How did you come to work with Weband?

We made a shortlist of companies that we could work with and received offers from many providers, including Weband, who had good credentials. We reached out to them and had a few meetings. We found input from third parties and received endorsements from friends and colleagues who’d had experience with them or had heard of them. Ultimately, it didn’t take long to choose them due to their reputation and the offer they gave us.

So far, we’ve spent €3,000 (approximately $3,000 USD).

We started working together in December 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Although we don’t have metrics, Weband has met our agreement. They had 54 working days to finish the site before testing, and they managed to do it. They’ve done okay with everything since; we’ve given them feedback, and they’ve reacted fairly fast.

How did Weband perform from a project management standpoint?

We had some issues with email communication at first. However, we fixed it by organizing additional meetings via Microsoft Teams to address important issues, fine-tune communication, and ensure everything was going smoothly. In this meeting, a technical person, a QA specialist, and I are involved from our side and a designer from theirs. We now talk about the issues we can't describe adequately through email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Weband sticks to the timeline and delivers what they say they will. I’m pleasantly surprised that there have been no delays.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could avoid miscommunication. As mentioned, there were some issues at first where I was not sure that the project manager and the developers were always on the same page. Like me, the project manager isn’t a technical person, which likely created some confusion. However, we resolved this within a few emails and meetings.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

My advice is to formulate all questions very clearly so that there isn’t any miscommunication between you and Weband.

We have initially received a recommendation, followed by a series of meetings. Once we started the process of explaining and scoping the project we were quite pleased with their responsible approach, which they kept through out the whole project.

It was a collaboration between our team and business objectives at one hand and the front/back ends team of developers on the other. We have provided the wire frame and the prototype, while Weband was completely in charge in delivering the systems needed to have a working platform. A well delivered MVP, followed by a thorough and detailed testing, which resulted in a product ready to be launched and already on the market. We keep working together to deliver new and more sophisticated features.

A fully dedicated project manager, who also helped us immensely with expert advice on business development. Two front end and two back-end team members, additional team members have been assisting as per project's needs.

We managed to have a fully operational and working product as per the very initial idea, no pivots, no major issues, no compromises and no pending tasks left! We are confident that we can expect even better results in the future releases.

The project management style can be defined by one word — responsibility. The team has a very rare sense for a gentleman approach, i.e. once you have their word you can rely on it! Communication tools would include: scheduled meetings, crash meetings as per required, google docs, emails, bug tracking and task sheets, toggle plan, etc.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The sense of responsibility, commitment and dedication. We are now collaborating for more than year I can literally say it is a pleasure to see and work with such an approach in a business setting. Reliability is what defines the Weband team.

For the price-quality ratio the team provides, nothing can be improved as you get a pretty good deal.

We received a fully functional, responsive front-end with a great user experience (UX) and fast load times. The website is scalable for future updates, which is important for us since we are continuously adding new features.
