What challenge were you trying to address with Web4You Inc?

We were looking to update our website and implement online tools for tracking customer reviews. Our goal was to become more accessible and visible on search engines.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They designed and developed our website from scratch. Features they’ve implemented include a demo request form and a review submission tool. The site is mainly informational, and users can access reviews of firm and descriptions of our services. They also provide continuous maintenance and updates.

Along with offering web design and development services, they provide SEO for our site and host it on one of their servers.

My main point of contact is Oleg (Owner, Web4You Inc). I’m not sure how large his team is.

How did you come to work with Web4You Inc?

We found their website online and chose them for several different reasons. They offered three different service directions including SEO, and their prices were reasonable. They also responded quickly to our questions and understood the changes we wanted to make. For these reasons, we felt like partnering with Web4You Inc would be beneficial for our business.

What is the status of this engagement?

The engagement began in 2009, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re now a top search result on Google for specific keywords. Their SEO has landed us on the first page for a variety of searches, and this increased visibility has added to our online presence. Also, we now have a way to validate our business through reviews, and our website makes it easy for companies to access information and do business with us.

Although this wasn’t part of the initial scope, they’ve also helped us with our cybersecurity. There was a time when our email was compromised, and their team was able to stop the attack and protect our data. Afterward, we implemented new security measures that they recommended at no extra charge.

How did Web4You Inc perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management has been excellent. We’ve had various issues over the years which they’ve always dealt with promptly. Also, they send us monthly reports that display website statistics and show us how we’re doing. We’re able to access necessary information whenever we need it.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’ve been impressed with their responsiveness and flexibility. Like our business, their company has evolved, and they’ve expanded their services. They’ve started to partner with other companies and examine more avenues within their service offering.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could work on being more proactive. I would like to see them reach out more frequently to check on progress, even when nothing is wrong. Sometimes, by doing this, you can discover problems that haven’t been addressed. This would also be useful for evaluating and improving their services.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure to be clear about what you want from their team. Know where you want to go with your business and how you want to be represented online. If you’re too vague with your requirements, you’ll get unspecific answers and generic services.

Also, share as much information with their team as you can. Be transparent and provide feedback as soon as possible. By doing this, you’ll avoid wasting time hearing ideas that you don’t like.

We needed a professional to develop our website and build an integration for our booking system.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Offering a fully turnkey solution, Web4You Inc developed our entire frontend and backend of our website from scratch on WordPress. As consultants, they helped us set up a booking system for our customers to integrate it with the ultrasound machine we use. They also developed our iOS and Android apps.

They created wireframes and workflows. Upon our approval, they came back with designs for all the pages of the mobile app and website. When we asked for some changes, they created customizations by the next day. 

Once the final design was approved, they built the website and integrated it into our system. They also developed a WooCommerce integration for the scheduling component. As soon as someone books an appointment from mobile or website, it’s automatically integrated into our CRM system. At this point, Web4You is still supporting us.

I worked with a project manager, designer, frontend developer, and a backend developer from Web4You.

We wanted to hire a local company who could come to our office. Web4You was recommended by one of my employees.

We worked together from June–July 2017.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Everybody who has seen the website Web4You created has enjoyed it, especially since it’s mobile-friendly.  

I appreciate that our site is optimized for SEO. So many people notice us that we must be performing well on search engines. This was a pleasant surprise for me because I didn’t even realize that service was included in their web design package. 

How did Web4You Inc perform from a project management standpoint?

Web4You was professional and easy going. We’re not a technical company, but they translated the project in a way that made sense to us 
We used their ticketing system, communicated via phone, and also met in person. They showcased different concepts on a smartboard in their meeting room. We could customized aspects of the site right there and then during meetings, which was very convenient.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Web4You is a flexible team of good listeners. Their method of explaining concepts is easy to understand. They offer a very fair and affordable price structure. I really like them and want to continue working together.

No, they have provided everything that I need.

I'm an office manager at a general contracting company. We work with property managers, corporate companies, vendors, and residential areas.

What challenge were you trying to address with Web4You?

We were trying to create a platform that lets us access everything we need within one software. Before this project, Web4You had created our website. We hired them again more recently to develop an app and software for us. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Web4You created our website a few years ago. They built both the Canadian and U.S. versions. More recently, we asked them late last year to make the site mobile friendly. They also developed software that lets us send notifications to our clientele. Both of our companies are integrated within the product.  

The website includes a login functionality. We can store all of our information on the panel. There are two separate parts for both admin and for our workers.

What is the team composition? 

We mostly coordinate with a main point of contact. She holds meetings with the software developers to describe our needs. We can contact the owner of the company directly.

I didn't usually speak directly with the team, but I know multiple people have worked on our project. If need be, we can send inquiries to the software developers to troubleshoot together.

Our company has been working with Web4You for 6–7 years.

Web4You has made our company more efficient. Our employees are happy with the new software. Using it makes their jobs easier.

Using their deliverables, we're now able to access our work orders and stay more organized. Having a mobile-friendly website allows us to interact with our customers a lot better.

From a communication standpoint, we're happy with their troubleshooting and level of responsiveness. For the most part, they respond within two hours or at least the same day. Web4You can always answer our questions and support our needs. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Web4You gives us great new ideas about how we can improve our company. They suggest better ways to develop software and apps for us. We usually listen to them and take their advice.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don't have any particular recommendations. They're doing well for the most part. In fact, they're the ones who are teaching us what we need to do so we can improve as a company. They should continue what they are doing currently.

My team was short-staffed at the time that a client required an e-commerce website with inventory management capabilities. I engaged Web4You to take the lead with that website development project.

What was the scope of their involvement?

My company is not well-versed in web development to the extent that the project necessitated, so we relied on Web4You to coordinate that effort. The website is Unix-based and utilizes Apache and MySQL components. It also features an e-commerce component and an inventory management piece.

Web4You assigned us a project manager. We communicated all of our concerns and notes through her, and she relayed everything to their technical resources.

I wanted to work with a local firm, and I came across Web4You during my search. I set a meeting with them, and they were pleasant and business-oriented. I was confident that we’d work well together.

Our engagement spanned October 2018–February 2019.

Web4You successfully delivered the project with little trouble. We are grateful that they helped us while we were short-staffed. They helped us in a time of need, and we had a healthy business engagement.

How did Web4You perform from a project management standpoint?

I prioritized working with a local team because I wanted somebody nearby that would always be available to answer my calls. In that respect, Web4You delivered. We had a few scheduling slips caused by some scope creep on my client’s end, but there was nothing out of the ordinary for most development projects. Our project manager was responsive and thorough in all communications.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I appreciate their patience and understanding during the project’s scope changes.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, we worked very well together. I am satisfied with their work. If I ever have a similar need in the future, I would not hesitate to work with them again.

As with any development firm, it’s critical to confirm that the technical staff you’re working with has the expertise required before coming to an agreement.

I am the Principal of a non-for-profit heritage language school. We provide Ukrainian language and culture learning for children in the Canadian Diaspora.

For what projects/services did your company hire Web4You Inc, and what were your goals?

We were a new entity that needed a fully bilingual but approachable website. Our target market was Ukrainian speakers in the Ukrainian Canadian community and so there were specific language requirements. We needed the site to land in Ukrainian but be housed safely in Canada and be secure from cyber attacks.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Recommendation from community leaders brought be to Web4You. Their initial exploratory meeting was professional and easy to understand. They had worked both with educational institutions and community institutions and understood our target market and specific needs. The fact they spoke the target market language also was a large factor in selection.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

Scope of work was to design and create a fully bilingual website that was attractive and easy to navigate. It required special plug-ins to handle bilingual calendars. Our registration page was to be simple to use from the user perspective, however we had 4 different registrations that had to work symbiotically in two languages. We needed regular elements, such as a blog and gallery, but also bilingual memo sections for each classroom to be used by teachers.

I had one key contact that worked with me during the process. Their exact title I do not know, but they were wonderful.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We have been able to register 30% of our target number registrations within the first 6 weeks of launch. The reaction from the website is positive. The anecdotal reactions are "beautiful" "light" "professional".

We used email to communicate mostly and this was enough for our scale of project. The key contact was very quick to respond to requests and regular touch base meetings were scheduled in advance.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I enjoyed the speed at which things were produced. We had a tight deadline, but the development phase moved accordingly to plan.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I would liked a bit more involvement as things were produced, however, the presentation of what was produced at touch points was very beautiful.

This project never really took off and was delayed by more than 6 weeks.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

It was a disaster. I was led to believe they had a proper setup in Canada where they are registered and it turned out they were outsourcing their work to another Ukraine based company. So I had to constantly brief new team members.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their ability to make believe.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I dont think there is any way they can shape up until they change management and build a proper setup.

The vendor responded on November 4, 2019.

We are deeply sorry that the client felt unsatisfied with how the work was handled. Our challenge was to fit a five-month project into one month. The client constantly emphasized a sense of urgency. They had the initial idea of the project, which we estimated and agreed upon. As we developed, client started changing some of the functionality that was not agreed upon initially.

Because of how urgent this was, the client told us to pull more developers and agreed to pay for them. 

Everything was going smoothly up until we transferred knowledge to the client’s new programmers. The client refused to pay for our extra developers, which they had originally requested. After a long delay with payment, we decided to stop the development until the outstanding invoice was paid. 

We always commit to fixing all bugs even when project is completed. The client got the sense that there were bugs when it was really because we hadn’t developed the functionality yet. I suppose there is misunderstanding there of what a bug is.

We would like to continue working with the client once the outstanding invoices are paid. 85% of the code is already completed, and project is functioning. All that’s left are the extra features. The client was given access to all source code even though it was not paid for.
