I'm the CEO of Borderlife. We offer deliveries, rideshares, and local and cross-border experiences at the borders of the U.S., Mexico, and Canada.

What challenge were you trying to address with Web Innovation Hub?

I needed help building our application. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They've built a native app. It's available on Android and will be available on iOS soon. We facilitate deliveries, rideshares, experiences, and an internal payment gateway called Oxxo Pay. There are over 17,000 of these gateways in Mexico. They allow people to make payments regardless of whether they have a bank account or credit card. By accepting payments through Oxxo Pay, we eliminate all chargebacks.

What is the team composition?

My main contacts are the project manager and senior business development manager.

How did you come to work with Web Innovation Hub?

When I researched websites and spoke with headhunters, they were recommended. I spoke with them over the phone and felt that everything would be great.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together in August 2017 and the work is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I've received a lot of great feedback in the field. We're still getting the word out, but the app is definitely in demand. Web Innovation Hub easily understands and deploys my ideas. They also provide great feedback, suggestions, and guidance to evolve my ideas. 

How did Web Innovation Hub perform from a project management standpoint?

Communication is great and everything has gone off without a hitch. We use email, phone, and messaging. They're always responsive and easy to contact, so I don't notice the distance. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They know how to build and launch apps, and their great customer service sets them apart. Web Innovation Hub is extremely professional and pleasant.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Clearly define and organize your project. It would also be helpful if everyone had a LinkedIn profile. They're valuable when introducing yourself and building trust at the beginning of a relationship.

We wanted to have a competitive and state-of-the-art platform for marketing and distributing our products.

How did you select this vendor?

They sent us an advertising email. We chose them because they clearly explained the steps involved in building a website and proposed a two-month timeline. They also provided a list of what they would require from me.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

We’ve just started, but so far, they’ve done everything professionally. The service is quite good, and their pricing is reasonable.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

It has been effective. They are always available to answer my questions and solve issues.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They can move quickly.

Are there any areas where they can improve?

The project started late because I was on vacation and unable to deliver the things that they needed.
