We consulted our IT department for recommendations of companies that could help us, and they referred us to We Are The Robots because they had worked with them on other projects.

So far, we’ve spent about $70,000 with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working in January 2021, and the engagement is still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They've always provided great service even though we know we're not one of their biggest clients. I've never felt like they haven't prioritized our project for its size — they keep everything very professional.

How did We Are The Robots Inc perform from a project management standpoint?

They created a platform using monday.com that allows us to request content and information, which has been very efficient — we used to do that process via email, which was very time-consuming. In addition, they use Dropbox or emails to send us the materials, which works pretty well.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They've always shown great interest and professionalism with our project and ensured to cover our needs.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Even though we hired them just for design, I think sometimes they could do a little bit more to ensure the quality of the content. For example, we've sent them texts with a typo, and they haven't corrected them, which is something they could improve on.

We contacted them several years ago through a referral to a small project that WATR Inc helped us to analyze and gave us a quick and practical solution since that project we always consider them to participate in our RFP and RFC selecting them as supplier most of the time

First we have a couple of meetings to review the RPF or RFC to analyze and design the work path then we create user histories, epics, constrains, risks, then they give us a sprint time line, and then we follow agile methodology to deliver, test… We work with aws infrastructure, php, js, lambda functions…

Usually 1 project manager, 1ux designer, 2 full stalk developers, 1 analyst and qa tester

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

With this platform, we have managed to have puntual academic follow-up of all our schools, which allows us to give personalized coaching, avoiding losing them as clients.

The PM style is agile, using the Atlassian suite as well as confluence for doc management and Jira for sprint lifecycle management. Communications occur in a timely and relevant fashion

Their involvement with business needs. The willingness to go the extra mile when the situation demands it is impressive.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Pushing back on customer requests on some requests that may not be totally aligned with an immediate need

We choose this vendor acording to the technology experience.

We had meetings to understand the requirement. After the documentation of the solution, we had a kick off with our client, and when we had the approved, we start with the development. Also we had testing phase with client before the publication of the solution. Al the project was documentated, from technical information to functional process.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After the end of the project, we reduce the time in the initial process of the sales area including the generation of the order.

We had meetings at least 2 per week at the beginning of the project to keep in touch about all the details in the project behavior. We always use zoom for meetings and a memorandum for all the stakeholders.

They gave us exactly what we needed. The solution is fast, secure and is documentated.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

At the end of the project we include sales person and WATR help us to involved them in the project.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Since they launched it, the website has been stable, and we haven't had any issues with it, so the results were great.

Project management and communication were great; We Are The Robots Inc's team was available permanently to solve any doubts or requests. Regarding tools, we used email, conference calls, and text messages.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We had limited technical knowledge, and they were always available and patient to solve every doubt we had throughout the process.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could take back communications to the way they were before. Having in-person meetings and general personal contact would be better for us.

Try to have fewer virtual communications and more in-meetings.

I wasn’t involved in the hiring process, but I know that the company evaluated different development agencies based on numerous aspects, and watr got the highest score.

watr’s work has been good. They’re very professional and have excellent customer service.

watr’s communication is very good. They use a project management tool, but I don’t remember its name. We also use Zoom, Whatsapp, and email to communicate.

What did you find most impressive about them?

watr has improved their understanding a lot, which has been impressive. Whenever we asked for changes before, they brought up issues with their pricing. However, they no longer mention those issues, and they always ensure that we’re happy with their work.

Are there any areas they could improve?

watr’s internal communication and time management could improve. Sometimes, the roles within their company aren’t very clear, and there is some information triangulation that causes delays.

When I started working here about five years ago, we were already partners with their company so I honestly don’t know the answer to this. However, I did rehire them for the development of these new portals.

We started working with them around July 2017, and our collaboration is still ongoing.

We don’t have any metrics, but the website is very easy to use and navigate through — in fact, our donors have found the donor portal very user-friendly. Also, we’ve noticed that their team has a great understanding of our needs, allowing them to incorporate our requirements into the site without any issues.

We communicate mostly via email or WhatsApp, which has been working well.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re impressed by their human quality; they’re very professional but also respectful, cordial, and kind, which is very important to us. Furthermore, their ability to understand and translate our needs into reality is also impressive.

We’ve encountered some issues at times, but they are always able to respond and address them right away. They can also be more proactive in offering new products and services to improve our platform.

They know how to listen, so take advantage of that and communicate your needs thoroughly. By doing so,  they will be great at getting your ideas and translating them into the intended results.

We Are The Robots created a web platform that showed all the information related to our project. It allowed people to make donations, and then we could send them certificates via email. To develop this platform, the team used WordPress and various other plugins.

We Are The Robots was referred to us. Upon contacting them, they showed great interest and willingness to work on projects such as ours. That was the start of our engagement.

Our engagement lasted from January–March 2021.

We Are The Robots was professional, and we were happy with how the platform was made. We haven’t launched it yet, but every person who had seen it loved it.

We hired WATR for an update of our webpage, we needed something well done and quickly. They were in charge of the design and program of the past webpage. Our goals were that it needed to be more user friendly and optimize the site architecture.

How did you select We Are The Robots Inc and what were the deciding factors?

We have worked with this company on two other projects before, so we are used to their quality of work and customer service that are above average. Also, the cost-benefit is important.

We had a kick-off meeting, where we presented our ideas for the update, then we sent the content so they can shape the mockup as precisely as possible. We worked on the mockups on a web app, so my input was always followed up.

After that, they built the updated page online, and when all comments and details were resolved they put it online. They followed up after our team had some comments.

I worked with Patricia Villalpando on the design of the mockups, as she is the UX/UI designer, and Pablo Garay the web designer. Also had contact with Nadia Miranda on financial matters, she is the general administrator.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

People spend more time on our website thanks to the savvy understanding of the customer/visitor experience. We have received comments about how is it is to navigate after the update. Information is more easily found.

We started the project just before Christmas, so meetings via Zoom were weekly. But we communicated by email for transfer of information, for the mockups we used Figma, and we used it almost every day until the details were almost done, as the web designer was working simultaneously on the online project.

About timelines, we had a delivery date mid January, and it was successfully met.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their approach to the customer. They are very receptive to what we need but also make suggestions of how it can work better. The little time they take to respond and resolve.
