BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the director of online marketing at Goat Interactive Company; we’re an online gaming firm focused on the African marketplace.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with We Are Kitty?

For this project, we were trying to increase our site’s organic traffic through cost-effective paid search and social campaigns.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We Are Kitty has been helping us with paid media activity, SEO, keyword research, and website content services — we’ve been expanding the scope of work as our partnership continues. To jumpstart the project, we gave them a brief of our brand guidelines, our value within the marketplace, and what we needed in terms of cost per acquisition and innovative campaigns.

They focus the strategies we make collaboratively on delivering quality and cost-effective FTDs (First Time Deposits)  that can bring high-level ROI. Regarding the SEO portion of the project, we aim to have the best practices relative to the market and localized strategic approaches because we’re in 24 countries with four distinct languages. Each country has a different public, and they’re optimizing their campaigns accordingly. For the content supply side, they’re working with us to have the best content team to support us with our daily activities.

What is the team composition?

We work with 7–8 members of their team, including account directors, paid media specialists, and analysts.

How did you come to work with We Are Kitty?

I worked with them on previous projects and chose them for this task because I knew I’d get the value and efficiency I needed.

How much money have you invested in this partnership?

So far, we’ve spent around $200,000 with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in March 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They’ve delivered positive results, including a strong volume of FTDs, and the revenue these players bring keeps growing substantially. Overall, our general KPIs have been positively impacted by We Are Kitty’s work.

How did We Are Kitty perform from a project management standpoint?

Their team delivers and incorporates our ideas within deadlines and budgets. Regarding communication, we mainly use Slack.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their biggest strength is their dedication to focus on taking our guidance and building campaigns based on that. Also, they’re very cost-effective, and I enjoy working with them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on — everything’s on point, and I have no concerns about their work.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be clear with your requirements and approach them with good ideas so you can develop them collaboratively — it’s important to treat them as a partner rather than someone that’s only doing a job for you.

BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the Managing Director of a Performance Marketing agency.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire We Are Kitty, and what were your goals?

Design and build of a brochure and lead generation web site, connected to our CRM. Features included bespoke homepage animation, advanced contact forms, case studies and news/blog features.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We selected the agency from a shortlist that we had either previously worked with or been recommended by other agency partners. We selected Kitty as their team demonstrated a clear understanding of our requirements and desired outputs.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

The SOW covered Discovery, UX Design, UI Design, Build, QA, Testing and go live support. It also included SEO support to ensure the site was fully optimised and that no organic search traffic was lost when the new site went live. Technology wise, the site is a WordPress build with a custom theme design, also built by WeAreKitty. WordPress is the ideal CMS for us as it is easy for the team to use, is great for SEO and reliable.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We had a dedicated Project Manager who was our point of contact throughout the project. We also had occasional contact with the Technical Director as needed.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Our main goal was to have a refreshed site, more fitting with our brand and customer type, that allowed us to maintain and build upon organic search visibility. We have seen improved onsite performance from visits while comfortably maintaining existing organic traffic.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

We Are Kitty was great to work with. They kept comms lean, involving us when needed to keep the project moving along nicely at all stages.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

As an agecny ourselves, we know the temptation can often be to overcomplicate or add in extra work beyond the brief. The Kitty team worked exactly to brief and really understood what we needed.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the director of online marketing sales for a sports betting and gaming company. We also have a casino function.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with We Are Kitty?

We wanted to improve our CMS sites. We service several geographic regions in four languages across 24 countries in Africa.

We wanted to reduce the workload and speed up the workflow of our content team, so we hired We Are Kitty to build a bespoke content tool to enable us to mass upload content to our various sites.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We provided We Are Kitty with documentation about our original CMS, including its key functionalities and how we wanted to improve them. Then, We Are Kitty used WordPress to build a bespoke CMS product from scratch, enabling our team to mass upload content.

Once our team uploads content to the new tool, they have the option to distribute it over several sites based on localized coordinates, which has sped up their workflow. We Are Kitty has also provided us with SEO and content management services, and we’ve partnered with their sister company on performance marketing initiatives.

What is the team composition?

I’ve worked with the 8–10 We Are Kitty team members, including the team lead, managing director, and account directors.

How did you come to work with We Are Kitty?

We’d worked with the sister agency for We Are Kitty before. When We Are Kitty, and a few other companies responded to our RFP, we felt they were the most affable and understood our technical requirements, so we moved forward.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested about £100,000 (approximately $115,000 USD) in the partnership with We Are Kitty.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working with We Are Kitty in August 2021, and the partnership is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We work in the sports industry, which is ever-changing, and our team needs to act quickly. We Are Kitty has developed a unique, high-quality tool that has saved our content team considerable time.

The tool has significantly impacted our team’s workflow because they’re able to react and produce content more efficiently. They’ve dramatically decreased our workload, freeing up time for our team to focus on promotions and activities for our customers.  As a result, we can service our customers better than before.

How did We Are Kitty perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve been excellent project managers and have consistently delivered work on time and within budget. The team has been very responsive, and we typically communicate via Slack, phone, email, and Google Meet.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’ve been impressed with their ability to get the job done to a high standard. We Are Kitty has been a caring and invested partner throughout the project, which has shone through in the results. They’ve managed our expectations and delivered great value and priceless results.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I have nothing We Are Kitty could improve on.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Come to We Are Kitty with a very strong concept and goal, and they’ll make it happen for you. Make sure you’re very clear and concise so that they can deliver the best results. They can take your idea and improve it tenfold; as long as you’re clear, I have no doubt they’ll deliver.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the head of public fundraising for Starlight Children’s Foundation. We’re a children’s charity that provides play and distraction activities to seriously ill children in hospitals across the UK. I’m responsible for marketing to the needs of the organization and encouraging the public to take part in specific types of community or challenge events.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with We Are Kitty?

We’re typically an organization that would derive a lot of our income through a direct mail appeal. However, it became really evident that the digital function of our fundraising needed a lot of work, so we needed to ramp up our presence on digital platforms.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We Are Kitty helped us become a conduit of insight and storytelling so the public could know more about how they can help the situation. They’ve been instrumental in putting stories together and creating fundraising events through our social media channels.

The work that they do is mostly focused on strategic planning, and an example of what they do is utilize and maximize our stories by publishing them to the right channel. This gives context to the needs, and it becomes an opportunity for users to click and make a positive impact.

Moreover, We Are Kitty upscales and trains our team so we can develop and implement necessary skills in-house.

What is the team composition?

We work with four people, including a project manager, a creative director, and a couple of members who helps us monitor the performance of specific ads.

How did you come to work with We Are Kitty?

We Are Kitty is actually owned by a friend of mine who went to the same university I did. We had a conversation with them about delivering pro-bono work from the service delivery side around storytelling and using Google Voice — so there was already a sense of familiarity between our organizations.

How much have you invested with them?

So far, the total cost of the ads is somewhere between £25,000–£30,000 (approximately $33,900–$40,700 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing partnership started in March 2019.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We saw a 300% increase in our income on the back of the initial campaign we worked with them, which is huge. Because of that, we were able to develop and diversify our children’s play kits with isolation packs. These packs enable a child to be taken through a specific type of treatment or procedure.

This is important because it diminishes the chances of a child catching COVID-19, so we’re able to ramp up and deliver our services three times the amount we would typically deliver.

How did We Are Kitty perform from a project management standpoint?

We Are Kitty serves more of an advisory role, so the effort is more collaborative. Our partnership feels very fluid and organic, and I think it’s because they really understand our organization. Furthermore, their expertise really complements our needs, so they’re able to guide us throughout our marketing campaigns from a creative perspective.

Our communication mostly takes place on Zoom.

What did you find most impressive about them?

From a personal perspective, we like that they believe in what we’re trying to achieve. We Are Kitty is passionate about helping seriously ill children in hospitals so culturally, there’s a sense of our values aligning.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t want to try and make them sound perfect, but regarding this situation we found ourselves in, I don’t think they could’ve done anything differently. They react when we need them, and they always deliver.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

A lot of organizations bring in third-party developers and expect them to already know what they need to do. My advice is to go in and realize what you want to achieve so you can provide clarity to the project. Make sure you understand your targets and why they support you so once you have the right information, you’ll be able to tell the correct type of story for your goals.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the founder and director of Big Grin Distillery, a company based in Burford, Oxfordshire. We’ve started the business because of the lockdown. We began brainstorming and setting up the company and distillery once we’ve identified an opportunity in this field. We’ve produced gin and vodka since early December.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address withWe Are Kitty?

During the lockdown, we realized that quite a large portion of our business would be online, so we wanted to get a website up and running in time for Christmas. That way, we'd be able to sell our products. We also wanted the platform to be a good poster of our brand and what we stand for.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We Are Kitty created our site on BigCommerce. Their goal was to build a platform that showed our youthful and fun side. Part of that was creating wireframes and designs. The team currently provides ongoing SEO support; they implement SEO efforts on all of our products. We also have them on retainer so that they can help us with any questions or changes we need to do on our website.

What is the team composition?

We regularly communicate with three people including We Are Kitty's designer and head of web development. We’re also occasionally in touch with their managing director.

How did you come to work with We Are Kitty?

We heard about We Are Kitty through word of mouth; I asked a few people around and someone recommended their team.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent £7,500 (approximately $10,300 USD) on the initial build, which includes SEO, web development, and web design services.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project began in November 2020, and it’s ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We Are Kitty has aligned themselves with our needs, and they’ve assigned a developer that has been able to deliver our site quickly so that we can utilize it during Christmas sales. The team's bold and creative designs have allowed them to produce an attractive site that shows off who we want to be as a brand. They’ve also been able to create what we had envisioned in under four weeks — which is pretty unbelievable.

With their support, we’ve had over 1,500 visitors and a 30% increase in sales within the first month after launch. There has also been a 2.5% conversion in the first two months, which is 39% higher than the UK average. For SEO, our company’s name has been quite widely used. As a result, we’ve managed to get on top of all search results within a couple of weeks. Overall, We Are Kitty has been a perfect partner for us, and they’ve established a nice and clean user journey that allowed us to connect with our target audience.

How did We Are Kitty perform from a project management standpoint?

They amazingly reply to our emails, and they’re incredibly thoughtful with our wishes. We Are Kitty is very personable, and they work quickly to meet our deadlines. On top of that, they’re very responsive; they always get back to us immediately. We’ve used JIRA during the initial phase to share designs and place comments.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their agility and adaptability have been impressive. We’ve given them a tight deadline, and they’ve managed to deliver.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there’s nothing to improve.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

You can call them whenever you want, so don’t be afraid to get the most out of them.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

Excalibur Healthcare Services Limited began operating early last year. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we realized that we needed to get medical devices and protection out to the public. As a result, we created XP21 as a subsidiary to provide the public with high levels of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety protection.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with We Are Kitty?

We needed an e-commerce platform that could handle B2C transactions. Our main goal was to have a professional website designed as quickly as possible.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We had a few documents prepared at the beginning of the partnership, but We Are Kitty mainly did all the discovery for us. We also had big design sessions, which allowed us to adapt the branding of the parent company into our new business.

We Are Kitty designed the frontend of our BigCommerce site, and they helped us developed an effective customer journey. After that, they designed the backend and integrated tools such as Salesforce. Additionally, they helped us integrate a payment system called Stripe.

After they created our site, the team explained how to set everything up and how we could utilize the platform. They also helped us create content and post images on the site’s frontend, and they continue to support our site.

What is the team composition?

We’re collaborating with an account manager, project manager, technical developer, designer, and business lead.

How did you come to work with We Are Kitty?

We reached out to some people within our own company and spoke about what we wanted to do. We Are Kitty’s name was raised then. After that, we got in touch and they made their brilliant pitch. They said that they could create our website as quickly as possible and for a really stripped-back price compared to what we were seeing from other companies. Ultimately, we went with them.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent  £14,000– £16,000 (approximately $19,200–$22,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing work began in May 2020.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Since we wanted to have our platform up and running quickly, we didn’t ask for any specific features. However, We Are Kitty has brought their own imagination to speedily develop our platform. On top of that, they’ve been helpful in recommending features for the site.

In the end, they’ve delivered a well-made site within six weeks. They’ve also ensured that we can be part of the emerging PPE market. Within a few months of launching, we’ve made just under £500,000 (approximately $680,000 USD) on the website and we couldn’t have done that without their work. Since our company has grown a lot, we're going to bring all tech efforts in-house. However, we still plan to reach out to them if we need their help

How did We Are Kitty perform from a project management standpoint?

Since we work remotely, we communicate via email, phone, and Zoom. We Are Kitty has great communication skills, and they’ve been very transparent throughout the engagement. They take their time to go through things with us, and we can reach them whenever we need them. I’m not the most technical person, so overseeing this project has been a bit daunting, but We Are Kitty has ensured that I feel confident in every step that I take.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We Are Kitty has closely worked with us and has delivered our requirements. They’ve also helped us streamline, and they’ve ensured that we use the right technologies.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Our brief has been straightforward and they’ve completely fulfilled it. They’ve never let us down in any way and there’s nothing that they can do differently.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Give them as much information as you can and be open to listening to their creative inputs. I’ve personally enjoyed working with them. I've worked with quite a few agencies and I’ve felt that We Are Kitty has been unbelievably friendly and professional.
