They were in charge of rebuilding our website; they did the site’s design, integration, development, deployment, and currently do SEO for it. They provided a sketch, which we later accepted, and then continued to build it using WordPress.

The website is working correctly, and everything has been going great.

The project management is excellent — we have great contact with the project manager. She finds solutions for us, she’s client-oriented, and she meets deadlines and budgets.  We communicate via email, in-person, and phone calls — they’re quick to respond.

I’m the commercial director at CLUFIX, a production, development, and design company of innovative fasteners for the automotive industry.

What challenge were you trying to address with Walt?

We had a very old website that wasn’t reflecting the new strategy and image of our company. We needed someone to do a facelift of the website and rework the full structure of the site to give a better image of our company to our prospects and customers. Additionally, we wanted a company that was able to understand our technology and industry and had the flexibility and reactivity we were looking for.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Walt built our website for us. First, they came and visited our company in order to know us better. We defined together what we wanted to obtain as a result of our collaboration. The purpose of the project was to define the message we wanted to reflect through our website.

The website was built from scratch. They proposed the design and structure of the website so that we could fill it with text and pictures. It was a custom website. They made 3-4 versions before finalizing the project. There was a lot of back and forth.

Additionally, they work on Google AdWords to ensure preferential positioning of our website. The website went live in June 2019. They had an after-sales contract where they do maintenance on the website which has been ongoing for three years.

What is the team composition?

I was in contact with three people from Walt. Two people were working on the frontend and one person working on the development and the search engine that was integrated within the website.

How did you come to work with Walt?

We knew somebody in our network who had worked with them and they came highly recommended. We contacted Walt's team and invited them to our office to explain the project.

They answered quite quickly and were favorable to what we were looking for. Their prices were acceptable. We had a good feeling and fit of what we were expecting from them.

We started working together in January 2019 and it's ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We put in some KPIs which is the efficiency of the website by incoming demands and new prospects. Every three months, they send a website performance report on how many people visited our website, where they’re coming from, and the way they entered the website. The website development has increased traffic.

How did Walt perform from a project management standpoint?

It was a good collaboration. They are quick and efficient, with a very positive approach to things. They were available and reacted quickly. Additionally,  they delivered milestones on time and they help us every time we needed to change something. Even now, they react very quickly to our demands. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They don’t have a sit-and-wait attitude. They understand what we’re looking for and proactively propose solutions.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could work on improving their English and translation skills. Besides that, they have very good positioning on their market share and what they propose to their customers.

Define what you’re looking for at the start of the project, including the project goals. Give them the liberty to express their vision and knowledge.

We’ve seen a steady average increase in sales by 42% annually. They’ve experimented and adjusted strategy, and it’s paying off.
