I’m the co-founder of Make My Nutrition. We’re an e-commerce store that delivers organic food across the US and Canada.

What challenge were you trying to address with Wall Docks?

We hired them for their mobile app development services.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Wall Docks helped us build a mobile app for iOS and Android. We already had a design for the app, so we shared it with them, and they proceeded with the work right away. They handled the entire development process and implemented certain features that we required. For instance, the app could suggest products to a user based on their personal information and lifestyle. Additionally, their team provided us with marketing support, including app store optimization (ASO). The app was built using Flutter.

We only speak to James (Owner).

How did you come to work with Wall Docks?

I met James a few years back at a networking event. We developed a connection there and started working together.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent around $25,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together on this project from December 2022–January 2023.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The app had just been released a few days ago, so it’s too early to share any metrics.

From a qualitative standpoint, the app was functioning swiftly — it wasn’t laggy, so the user experience was much better compared to our previous app. As a result, we received positive feedback from our regular users.

Also, Wall Docks did a great job of identifying and fixing any bugs that we encountered.  

How did Wall Docks perform from a project management standpoint?

They did an excellent job from a project management perspective; all of the work was completed very quickly. For communication, we used Slack, Zoom, Google Meet, and phone calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The most impressive thing about Wall Docks was their ability to work very quickly. We worked with other app developers in the past, and it took them a long time to get everything done.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Make sure to communicate with them regularly and explain your requirements clearly.

I’m the CEO of Perfect Vision, an ophthalmology center and hospital.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Wall Docks?

We had a website, but we realized that our competitors were using an app to make the process for their doctors and patients easier. We wanted to do the same, so we hired Wall Docks to create the app.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We initially told them what we were looking for and discussed the requirements. The app is currently available for Android users, but we’re working on the iOS version. Another company designed the app, but Wall Docks has been responsible for the development. The technologies being used are Flutter and Bubble. 

Key features of the app include the ability for patients to schedule their appointments, access a detailed report about the problems they’re facing, and see test results in their patient dashboards. The app also provides individual recommendations for patients on food and drinks they should try to lean towards or avoid based on their disease. 

We recently had the application tested, and it came back with some bugs, so Wall Docks is in the process of fixing those issues.

We work with one point of contact. 

How did you come to work with Wall Docks?

They were a referral from another agency we work with. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested around $2,300 with Wall Docks. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in August 2022, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We haven’t released the app entirely, but it’s been available to some of our long-term patients, and the feedback has been fairly positive. We’ve also had the app tested by another company; they found a few bugs, but they thought it was a good product for the most part. 

How did Wall Docks perform from a project management standpoint?

We haven’t given them any strict deadlines, but they’ve done a decent job of getting things to us in a timely manner. Communication with Wall Docks is not the easiest, and we’ve had some barriers in terms of communication. We communicate via Slack. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’ve made good suggestions for the design that have improved the UX, and they collaborate well with the company we're using for the designs. They try very hard to make the app as easily accessible as possible, and we appreciate that. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

We wish that there were fewer delays in meeting times and better communication. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Tell them about your vision and ensure you’re communicating with them. Define the end goals and let them know the purpose behind the app.
