We worked with Vnnovate to develop the Vibez app which is an event streaming mobile application. The work involved a fully functional social network and event streaming service that users could view, rate, and share. Key deliverables were the website ,IOS and Android mobile app which were completed to spec, in time and within budget. The app included key features such as: Personalized recommendations based on your recommendations. Filtering. Ratings. Sharing amongst friends.

Small things like more frequent communication can always be improved. More transparency regarding costs of certain services would also be key in improvement.

To start off, we gave Vnnovate Solutions some instructions and outlined exactly what we wanted from them. After that, they proceeded with the work, developing our mobile app from scratch. Additionally, they helped implement the main features of the app and tweak its design. 

The app is directed to online traders and has a backend where users can copy and paste notifications related to trades and access other similar information. Also, the app is only available for iOS devices.

We were happy with Vnnovate Solutions’ work. They constantly tested our product to ensure it didn’t have any bugs and helped make adjustments in the end.

How did Vnnovate Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

Their communication skills were excellent, and they did a good job of meeting deadlines. We had a couple of delays, but that was on our side. They also provided 24/7 support. Overall, their team managed the project very well.

For communication, we mainly used Skype and Google Meet.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Vnnovate Solutions was well-organized, and they did a very clean job with the code.

Are there any areas they could improve?
 
They could’ve done a better job of managing our budget. As a co-founder, you would always want things to cost less.

We had an issue with foot traffic within the store and the management of queues. We wanted to create a solution that could serve our customers by eliminating foot traffic. We hired Vnnovate Solutions to develop the software.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Vnnovate Solutions developed the software solution and did end-to-end testing. The software allows us to have a close-to-accurate estimate of how long it will take before the next customer is served. This allows customers to know how long they have to wait until they’re served.

The project began at the beginning of 2019. We wrapped up recently, but Vnnovate Solutions will be providing maintenance as needed. We will work with them again on future iterations, such as an end-user app.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’ve noticed more accuracy in terms of the service time barbers are given, and the app helps to keep our standard of service consistent. From a time and queue management perspective internally, we’re happy with the outcomes.

Vnnovate Solutions performed quite well. Their communication was prompt, even though they were based in India. We communicate via social media and Zoom.

Their response times set them apart. Vnnovate Solutions also managed our tickets well and helped us solve issues quickly. They were really good in terms of resource allocation.

No, not that I can think of at the moment.

I’m the owner of a school called Foundations Pre-School UK. We manage a few different sites, serving children aged 2–5.

What challenge were you trying to address with Vnnovate Solutions?

We wanted to develop an iOS app for internal use that could keep a record of our students’ accidents. Previously, we used a time-consuming system, which involved a lot of paperwork and was not very efficient. We needed resources to help us convert to a digital solution by creating an app for mobile and tablet devices.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They worked closely with us to understand our business needs and translate them into technical requirements. I told them how our forms worked and needed to look, and they created the design and logic. This involved detailing how the app would record, store, and upload information.

From there, they designed and developed a test app within our website, ensuring that the digital forms matched our paper forms to maintain our normal processes. Previously, in the case of an accident, the student’s guardian, a staff member, and a witness needed to sign the documents. Vnnovate Solutions’ team built a signature function, which now allows all parties to sign our legally binding forms at their convenience. The app also stores the students’ personal details (e.g., names, date of birth), which saves us from looking up the information ourselves.

The team completed the first iteration of the app within 2–3 months, and we implemented it in our schools before launching it in the App Store. Since then, they’ve continued to offer tech support and additional development. If we need an update or if our students’ parents suggest a new feature, they’re happy to hear our ideas and amend the app.

I mostly worked with our main project manager but also spoke with 3–4 other resources during conference calls.

Their work started in April 2016 and is ongoing. We launched the first version of our app in August 2016.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We mostly use the app internally, so we don’t have any hard metrics. However, from a qualitative perspective, the app has revolutionized our schools. Because we’re not filling out forms by hand, our staff has a lot more time to focus on other tasks. Government officials inspecting our schools have also commented on the app. It’s incredibly fast, and the ability to access stored information has made things so much easier.

How did Vnnovate Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

They were excellent. For every stage of the project, they established a time frame and clearly listed all of our tasks. This allowed us to track our progress and see where we were in the process. We mostly communicated via email but occasionally held conference calls over Skype. They would send me the app, and we’d go through the screens together. If I ever had a problem, I would send them a message, and they’d respond quickly.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I appreciated their design skills. They were able to take my idea and implement it flawlessly. We never had any issues about how to approach a feature. Rather, they were creative enough to run with our needs and find ways to implement them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, nothing comes to mind. They delivered what they said they would.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Dream big because they’re able to create a lot more than you’d think. Sometimes my lack of technical knowledge was hindering. I would hold back because I didn’t know what could or couldn’t be done. As we got further into the project, we realized that a lot of our ideas were actually feasible. It would have helped us to set down exactly what we wanted from the start; you can always scale back if needed.

Our company makes a GPS tracking unit and GPS alarms for pets, human beings, and the automotive industry. I’m the CEO of the company.

Our business with Vnnovate consisted of the development of our applications for our tracking system.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Vnnovate has done design work for us, and all kinds of development needed to finish the whole project for those applications. They used Java for Android, and C for iOS. They have done all the web development projects for us, like a driver trip log system, which was done in PHP, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS. They've also done the mobile version of our tracking system, using the same technique for both desktop and mobile.

How did you come to work with Vnnovate?

We initially wanted to find up to five different companies in India who worked with this type of application. We posted some details of our project on LinkedIn, and we had our initial contact with the employees at Vnnovate about three years ago.

Up to now, we have spent approximately $32,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve worked together for the past two and a half years, and our relationship is ongoing. We are working on a new project with them.

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

They are really good at communication, and they’re very good developers. They’re not the cheapest ones, but they are really good. We’ve done projects with other companies in India, and Vnnovate is really good. We are lucky to have them as our partner. It’s worth every dollar.

I think it’s best just to look at the number of downloads in the app stores. There you can find what other users are saying about the application. If I tell you what I think, it doesn’t actually matter; it’s what the end consumer thinks about the application that’s the most important. We have 4.6 stars out of five, so it’s a really high grade.

We’re a small, niche type of business, and we have a lot of downloads. I think there are at least several thousand downloads in the last year, and every download is our customer who has log-in information. We are really satisfied. Most importantly, our customers are really satisfied with this application. Although it did cost a lot of money.

How did Vnnovate perform from a project management standpoint?

They are really good with project management. If you’re going to properly drive a project forward, you need to communicate well. They’re really good at communication. Even when there are problems, they are good at communicating back to us what’s happening. We know how the project is going through every step.

What did you find most impressive about Vnnovate?

When you work long-distance, it’s not so easy to drive projects.It's even hard to be a customer when you have a company far away from you. They are experts on the communication, and I always felt they were a local company.

Are there any areas Vnnovate could improve?

I don’t know how they could improve because they’ve done their job.

We are designing our website and app. We are trying to develop everything we need to have a good operating system for our customers and clients. Vnnovate has been working with us for a long time as our full development team.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We talked through the design phase together and the features we want in the future. We talked about the trends for this kind of business so that we can attract customers. They developed the app and website. They are also consulting with us to guide us through the process. They’re working on a custom site. I keep updating it as trends change. When I think of something I’d like to do to my site, I call them and we discuss it. They tell me the price they would charge, we negotiate, and if the price is good, we go ahead. If the price is not good, I leave the project for a while.

I was looking for someone who could build an app and develop my website. I went online and chose two or three freelancers. When I saw Vnnovate’s team, I called them on Skype. At the end of the day, we started on our project. I saw they had the qualities I needed.

We started working together six or seven months ago, and the work is ongoing. I don’t plan to stop. I’m not interested in other developers because Vnnovate has what I need to get the work done.

I’m very satisfied with their work. When I started working with Vnnovate, I was scared I wouldn’t get what people want. At the end of the day, the work was satisfying. It went beyond my expectation. We had a good development and a good design. I don’t have any complaints with the system. There were a few things I didn’t understand, but I called them up and they explained it to me.

How did Vnnovate perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re always on time. They respond to my call during working hours and to my inquiries during holidays. In terms of app development a nd queries, they are very good. When I had an issue, they linked me up with the guy in charge and he explained everything to me in detail.

Everything has been fine. I really enjoy working with them.

To get started with anyone, make sure your goals and objectives are listed out and the work scope is well-defined. When you work with Vnnovate, you’re working with professionals. They let you know if there will be any issues with your ideas. They discuss the work scope with you so that they understand and so that you understand what you want. In terms of solving issues that are not in the work scope, they’re good at it. I once experienced that with them. I had something I wanted them to do that wasn’t in the work scope, and they were able to do it.
