What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The initial development phase has successfully delivered core features for the web and mobile applications, including user authentication, skill browsing, practice modules, and basic performance insights. Early user testing has shown positive feedback on the platform's user-friendliness and engaging content. We have also curated a significant library of curriculum-aligned skills and questions and are actively exploring partnerships with schools and teachers in the region.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Working with Viral Square has been a great experience. At the start, we had a few problem as we were figuring out how to work together (we had no proper UI/UX or user journeys, our product idea was still hazy, etc.). But they quickly got the hang of things and put in place a solid project management system that kept everything on track.

Bringing in a dedicated product manager and QA team made a big difference. Communication got smoother, and quality checks became more thorough, which sped up our development process and made sure our needs were met. At this point we decided to give them more scope (the mobile app and around 20 additonal sprints.)

They’ve been really good about listening to our feedback and making changes in the next rounds of development. Their proactive communication and willingness to tweak features based on our input have made our collaboration really productive.

Viral Square has shown they are committed to delivering high-quality results and going beyond our expectations. We’re confident they’ll keep up the excellent work as we move forward with the next phases of our project.

What really stood out to me about Viral Square was their adaptability and focus on finding solutions. Throughout the project, they showed a deep understanding of our challenges and priorities, even as things changed in the early stages. Their flexibility in handling frequent changes and their commitment to finding the best solutions for us was truly impressive.

Moreover, their proactive communication and consistent availability made sure we always felt supported and informed during the development process.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Viral Square could have done differently?

Overall, Viral Square has done an impressive job. However, one area for improvement could be team stability. We noticed some turnover during the project, which sometimes led to minor communication and handover issues, and a bit of a learning curve for new team members.

To boost their efficiency and deliver better results, it might help to expand their team with more developers and QA engineers. This could speed up development, allow for more thorough testing, and potentially reduce the number of bugs in the later stages of the project.

Additionally, improving their documentation process would help ensure smoother transitions and better continuity, especially when new team members come on board.

Redesign the front end and integrate the backend code, including integrations and API connections to payment gateways and e-commerce suppliers' APIs—frontend development using React and TailwindCSS.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Website speeds were critical, and we were able to score over 90 scores when we checked the Google PageSpeed Scores. Also, the interactions and the speed at which the APIs were retrieved were terrific within 2 secs. 

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

The calls were organised and scheduled two times a week. A timeline was provided to the team with modules to be completed week on week. After every module, our team tested the website and provided feedback. Most of the bugs where fixed within 48 hrs. The project was delivered on time and 3 days before the due date as per our plan.

Their communication and planning were impressive. Apart from that, the coders are good at what they do.

I guess the only area of improvement will be in documentation, so it can help future developers to pickup code quickly and make changes.
