I'm the founder and CEO of JobBliss, a SaaS Contractor Management system. I have been working on the platform for over 3 years, and continue to develop and expand the tool.

We had a developed site, but were struggling to launch a new feature. We engaged Velocity to take over the site maintenance, as well as continue to expand and improve the suite of site features.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I have worked with the CEO of Velocity in the past, and have known him for over 10 years. I know he is a very meticulous and experienced developer himself. Knowing he was managing the team from both strategy and execution, I knew I would be getting a very different type of team - one that thought about the business strategy as well as the execution.

The site was handed off to the Velocity team, where they took over the existing code. The team fixed some issues they found, and identified areas of improvement which they executed. Next phase was to take an MVP feature and add additional functionality, as well as design the new interface. Sprint based, bi-weekly grooming sessions and progress demos. AWS, Cognito, Node.js, HTML5

New features have been added, and improvements across the user experience. We've also been able to leverage individuals in demos and client support / feedback calls which helps to drive the roadmap and improvements.

Working with Velocity, I am getting the business strategy and creative thinking that helps to not only create new features for our tool, but I find they come to the table with new ideas and support. Velocity was engaged to build us a custom CRM, our goal was to have a web based solution for talent acquisition and candidate management.

We found Velocity through a referral.

They designed the back-end for a web based CRM from scratch followed by an intuitive User Interface, they conducted extensive research to fine tune the product to ensure a seamless User Experience then delivered the product on time and on agreed budget.

2 people a Lead Developer and a Project Manager.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Velocity delivered the product on time and on budget, we have been able to increase productivity as a result of an in-house CRM that was delivered at a very reasonable price point and within a very fast timeline.

The people at Velocity were very responsive and were available to answer any questions or address any questions with no time restrictions (including weekends); their project management approach was very agile and iterative, which enabled quick turnaround times even when some scope was changed mid-way through the project cycle.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The most impressive aspect of working with Velocity was the depth f knowledge their team had, and their ability to understand and translate requirements into a viable Proof of Concept and MVP within a relatively short cycle.

I cannot say enough good things about working with this vendor, I will definitely engage them for any similar technical work in the future.
