The scope of the project mainly centred building/developing the sites based on the flat designs within a short period of time using the client's online visual builder.

Vector hit all the outlines goals (despite the quick turnaround). There was great attention to detail in all aspects of the development. They were also very meticulous when it came to doing their research on the platform, which helped streamline the process. But if there's one thing I can say about them, it's the fluid communication - they were always quick to respond to any last minute changes and their input ensured that the project was delivered to the highest standards.

Vector was bought in to support the in-house marketing team in improving the website's user experience across desktop and mobile to increase traffic and conversions. They were responsible for overhauling the information architecture, page structure and design.

Vector were hired initially to conduct a full design overhaul of our Dashboard. This is where our users spend the majority of their time, so is a crucial part of the application. The project involved: 

• User research 
• Ideation 
• Wireframing 
• Completed designs for our own developers to implement 

The re-design was incredibly successful and as a result we subsequently hired Vector to do a full brand redesign for EmailOctopus. This included a new logo and marketing website. As part of this Vector conducted team and user interviews, to understand what the brand meant to us and our customers. The final deliverable was a complete re-brand including the logo, merchandise and marketing websites

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

• LTV of customers increased by 37% in the first 12 months after the product redesign 
• Revenue grew 105% within 2 years of engaging Vector 
• User churn fell from 8% down to 6.2% since the first engagement
• Conversion rate increased by 73% after the brand and website redesign

Vector continually sought to improve the project management process. They came to us, using our existing processes, which like most startups – barely existed. Early on in the project Vector implemented project management software such as Trello and regular progress check-ins.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Vector is a small business that really understands branding and SaaS. They come without ego and are receptive to feedback and industry trends. It's rare to find a design agency who are genuine experts, but who are still willing to learn.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Vector could have done differently?

No. We opted to hire in-house expertise (which previously didn't exist) as a result of the design improvements made by Vector. It opened our eyes to the capabilities of knowledgeable and embedded designers.
