Furthermore, the team kept the project on track, adapted quickly to changes, and communicated via video calls daily. Overall, the team's high-level and structured work and adaptation speed impressed the client.

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.I'm the senior web manager at an e-commerce company. We design and manufacture high-performance tactical clothing engineered to solve real-world problems for military, law enforcement, and demanding professionals in the field.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with UX studio? We wanted to redesign our B2C e-commerce website as part of an upgrade we were doing. The goal of the redesign was to structure the content of our website, make the website more user-friendly, and improve the navigation through the website.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?UX studio provided a full redesign of our website. Their work included designing the product pages, category and sub-category pages, checkout flow, user profile pages, different promotional scenarios, blog and content pages, and a full design system for us to expand on in the future. They also did initial user tests with existing clients on our current page and tested the prototypes with our target audience throughout the design process. The end deliverable was a full design system of the B2C e-commerce website. What is the team composition? We worked with a UX researcher and a UI designer. How did you come to work with UX studio? We found UX studio through an online search and checked their references and different review sites to evaluate their work. They offered a wide array of services at a high level. We were looking for an agency that would understand the needs of our customers and would be able to align their needs to our specific niche. Through their references and the work they did, we found that their services matched what we were looking for. What is the status of this engagement? We worked together from April–July 2025.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? The deliverables were defined before the beginning of the project. The designs are not yet implemented as the development is still ongoing. However, we expect to reduce the bounce rate of the visitors and improve the conversion rates and average order value due to some of the design steps that were made and improvements in the navigation and user experience. How did UX studio perform from a project management standpoint? They were really good at keeping the project on track. We needed a week or two to get the workflow perfect, but they were quick to adapt and recommend different steps to facilitate the work. We communicated through video calls on a daily basis. What did you find most impressive about them? The deliverables we received from them were on a really high level and structured. They were quick to adapt and respond to any concerns or challenges. Are there any areas they could improve? We were a small team, and we weren't able to keep up with all the revisions that were made, so it became a bit overwhelming. We think we lost some valuable time here. A more detailed process definition before the start of the project with the client would help.

Are there any areas for improvement?

The onboarding of our team to new tools for them could have been smoother, but we all learned from the experience.

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

Zignaly is a crypto trading platform that focuses on copy-trading and trading signals. I am the founder and CEO of Zignaly.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire UX studio?

We hired UX studio to increase our activation conversion rate by improving our onboarding process, as well as the management of multiple exchange accounts associated with one same user account.

What were your goals for this project?

To achieve a better activation rate and increase retention.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor?

UX studio is one of the most established design firms in the world and we like the fact that they make all design decisions based on solid user research. They also happen to be more affordable than other agencies, especially those based in the US.

Describe the project in detail.

In order to increase our activation rate, we knew that we had to improve our onboarding process, but didn’t know what we had to change exactly. Similarly, we knew the handling of multiple accounts had to be improved but didn’t know precisely how. UX studio’s dedicated researcher tested our existing platform with new users and interviewed existing users who had dropped off to understand the root of the problem.

Once the problems defined, the designer proceeded to prototype solutions, that were then tested and iterated on multiple times, until test participants were able to complete the tasks seamlessly and quickly understand the value of Zignaly.

Additionally, the designer revamped the look & feel of Zignaly and delivered the final designs in Zeplin along with an entire UI kit, which will help us keep consistency when building new features in the future. We also got a responsive version of all the screens for mobile, as well as a dark mode.

What was the team composition?

We worked with one designer and one researcher from UX studio. On our side, I (the CEO) was joined by our CMO and our lead developer, who collaborated closely with UX studio’s designer.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Although we haven’t yet implemented the new designs, we have been approached by multiple test participants who showed a strong interest in the platform and asked us to notify them when the new version comes out.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We were in the same time zone, so the time difference wasn’t a problem

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The speed and quality of design were impressive, and they really went the extra mile by delivering the UI kit, mobile version and dark mode of Zignaly. Also, it was great to see that all the design decisions were carefully made based on solid research and UX expertise.

Are there any areas for improvement?

No, we loved working with UX studio and will surely work with them again in the future.

The team got up to speed on the real estate industry quickly and were easy to collaborate with thanks to their consistent communication. What's more, they adapted well to real-world situations.

"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I am Head of UX at Magicbricks, a division of Times Group and India’s No 1 Property Site. We provide a common platform for property buyers & sellers to locate properties of interest and source information about all property related issues.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire UX studio?

We contacted UX studio to help us with a comprehensive UX Evaluation of our multi-device platform.

We had conducted some previous research internally but we needed validation through professional, third-party user studies and expert review. UX studio offered a tailored solution that combined on-site and remote research.

What were your goals for this project?

To evaluate user experience across different segments and platforms, in order to prioritise usability issues to be tackled during an in-depth redesign. We also sought to collect information on user habits (journeys, pain points, motivations) and identify opportunities to increase user engagement.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor?

We reached to many agencies globally. UX studio outlined a proactive, solid approach and a very positive tone. They managed to overcome the existing concerns of hiring a foreign agency with a natural adaptability and openness to come to India and undertake most of the user research on-site.

Describe the project in detail.

We had a remote kick-off week with Antoine and Pablo, the UX studio researchers. In these meetings we highlighted project goals, discussed previous research and identified key user flows. Antoine and Pablo quickly got up to speed with the product via stakeholder interviews and competitors analysis.

On weeks 3 and 4 of the project both researchers carried out 40+ interviews and usability tests in Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai. Some additional testings were done remotely. Expert reviews from UX studio designers were combined with the outcomes from user research in a final comprehensive presentation.

What was the team composition?

The two UX researchers from UX studio were in direct collaboration with the in-house team of +16 designers and myself.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

UX studio provided genuine feedback and evidence-based suggestions to improve the design of our platform. Having an external opinion helped the team to recognise insights that were hard to identify otherwise. We are already implementing many of these and plan to continue involving UX studio in future stages.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Time difference was not a major problem due to the adaptability of the researchers. We had regular calls and updates that kept us informed throughout the project.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

UX studio made collaboration very easy, maintaining good communication throughout all project stages. Researchers showed a high professionalism and ability to understand an unfamiliar context, industry and product very quickly.

I would also highlight their adaptability to real-world situations. We had a tight schedule, but they complied with the original project plan and covered all tasks on time.

Are there any areas for improvement?

None.

**Feedback Summary**: The project took multiple phases. UX studio met expectations, improving the entire experience and user flow of the platform. They're dedicated and professional. Customers can expect an insightful team that strives for success.
""We were thrilled by UX studio’s process."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the Strategic Development Director at a company that provides marketing and software automation for Higher Education. Our multilingual platforms provide students with an opportunity to search for and compare international university programmes from Bachelor to PhD-level.

Universities can reach potential students and share valuable information with them with the help of our service. I am responsible for traffic generation and product development.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire UX studio?

Our platform needed to be redesigned in order to fit the needs of our users even better and make sure that they are able to find what they are looking for on our sites.

Hence, we asked UX studio to rethink the user journey based on thorough user research. Based on the results, they created a new Look and Feel and a final UI to match these improved journeys better.

What were your goals for this project?

With the UX studio’s help, our aim was to increase our conversion rates whilst improving user experience by eliminating friction in the user journey and ensuring that the UI of our platform communicates and align our values perfectly.

In order to achieve these goals, UX studio collaborated with us in creating improved user flows to lead forms and individual pages, improving our internal search function, filtering system for several devices as well as ideating about a new Tone of Voice.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor?

Beyond the typical availability, timeline and cost factors, we had a long list of requirements before searching for a new UX partner. Some factors included: size of company, experience from similar niche, multidisciplinary roles within the company, excellent customer satisfaction, high quality output and of course good reputation.

An initial search locally in Scandinavia rendered fewer options than hoped for and we decided to broaden our search. That’s when we discovered UX Studio which ticked all our boxes.

Describe the project in detail.

Our websites have millions of users every month from high-ranking keywords in Google. Today’s users of Generation Z are picky, impatient and still expect high quality content, flawless UI & UX, fast loaded websites and apps. Thanks [insert your favorite unicorn company here]!

Providing the best user journey with matched user intent requires a well-thought out process for each device but also unified across several languages. We knew from user feedback and our web analytics that it was time to step up our game. When we approached UX Studio our main goal was to improve conversion rates of our lead forms.

Secondary metrics included increasing time spent on site, avg. pageviews per user and lowered bounce rates. In order to achieve that, we had to take a holistic approach and explore the whole user journey from search to landing pages and engage with our lead forms.

With the help of UX Studio we identified several bottlenecks where students drop off, and also gained new insights into what makes users stay longer and get more engaged.

What was the team composition?

We worked with 2 UX Designers and a UX Researcher during this project with UX studio.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Due to the large scope of the project we decided to launch in multiple phases focusing on different areas. So the real business impact is yet to be seen but we have plenty of test users and recordings to show that our user engagement metrics have increased and proven successful. We are very happy with the end result.

The improved user flow and UI is incredible and no details are left to chance. In the meantime and based on the user insights of this project, we are working with UX studio on new features to improve user experience even more.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We were thrilled by UX studio’s process. During the two day intensive and fun Kick-off meeting, they acquired domain knowledge and got a good understanding of our products and unique challenges.

Their vast experience in driving the research process and guiding us forward the whole time was reassuring. During the weekly meetings, they presented research insights and design decisions in a detailed manner and always aligned with our project and business goals.

We also organized cross-team meetings with our Conversion, SEO and Development teams to make sure that the efforts of all parties were aligned to maximize chances of success.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We really appreciated the user-centricity they brought to the table and how they advocated user needs while still understanding and considered our business challenges, too. The deep collaboration between our two teams was impressive and they really felt like our own in-house team members from the start.

Their professional insights and the way they explained each process and step, helped us not only understand their design-decisions and their value, but we learned more about our own users and product, too.

Are there any areas for improvement?

No, we were amazed by UX studio’s dedication and professional approach. This is why we have decided to continue our collaboration with them.

Our services enable entrepreneurs and consultants to bring their data products to market quickly by better differentiating themselves from competitors and creating ongoing revenue opportunities. I work as a project and marketing manager.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire UX studio?

We first hired UX studio to focus on the redesign of our platform, which is used by one of our main stakeholders. We wanted to improve our data visualization based on real user needs. We decided to focus more on our users (mainly market researchers) so that we could provide a useful, relevant, and easy-to-use solution.

What were your goals for this project?

For our initial project, we wanted to refresh our platform’s UI and, at the same time, increase our client’s satisfaction and engagement with our product. Our goals were to understand in detail how our clients use our service and how they integrate it into their everyday work.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor?

We were looking for UX companies in the region and had visited a couple before choosing UX studio based on their informative introduction and impressive portfolio.

Describe the project in detail.

This was a research-heavy project. UX studio went through a thorough onboarding process, which helped all parties sync up and define the project goals. The kick-off discussions were a really good forum to clarify the pain points and decide on which ones to tackle.

From there, they conducted thorough research exercises. It was essential for us to understand our clients’ habits and usage patterns before approaching the redesign. We needed to know which features they used and which they would miss. At the end of the project, they delivered a report on all of their insights to guide our redesign, working with us through prototypes before producing the final UI.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It was a seamless experience. Although our product can be hard to understand, UX studio came up to speed quickly. The team involved us in every step of the research process, discussing topics on a daily basis and hosting regular meetings every week with our broader team.

Their researcher and designer were always transparent in their communication. They documented their detailed research using Airtable, which allowed us to check on the project status and keep up to date on user test findings. Having access to all of their documentation and prototyping allowed us to effectively work together in a highly collaborative way.

Their high level of professionalism surpassed our expectations. They are real UX/UI experts who know how to connect research with design principles. During the project, they were precise and detail-oriented, making sure not to lose even the tiniest bit of information.

They taught us about UX principles, and, after doing one project with them, we can really see the added value of their work. Not only did they handle the project like true experts, but they also treated our most sensitive clients with patience and professionalism.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Nothing comes to my mind, now. We were really satisfied with the professional way that UX studio handled the redesign, so we’ve decided to continue our collaboration into other projects.

""[W]e received what we had signed up for, so we’re delighted."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I’m the head of product at Campanda GmbH, a holiday website specialized in renting RVs for vacationers. We also create content and supply campers with information and tips about this style of travel. We don’t own a fleet of RVs but rather connect RV enthusiasts with everyday RV owners who want to rent out their vehicles.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire UX studio?

As search is a central part of the user’s journey to eventually renting out a vehicle, we felt that we needed to completely re-think and revamp this feature with the help of external professionals. We wanted to add new features to our search tool, while also applying the principles of material design from day one.

What were your goals for this project?

A specific goal was increasing the number of direct bookings/inquiries. We were also hoping that we would get to know our users better, thanks to the new research insights delivered by UX studio.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor?

We had worked with UX studio before and were satisfied, so we came back.

Describe the project in detail.

UX studio wasn’t completely unfamiliar with the project, but we still wanted to provide them with as many insights as possible, so we sent them research documents in advance. We kicked off the project here in Berlin. Aside from clarifying the project’s goals and scope together, Mia (UX Researcher, UX studio) led stakeholder interviews (with users, other agencies etc.), while Anna (UX Designer, UX studio) spent quite some time with our in-house designer in planning their collaboration during the project.

Given that the project was based on material design principles and we had a short timeline, there was high-fidelity prototyping from the beginning. While the designers worked on the mobile and desktop prototypes, Mia led usability tests and tree-tested the search filtering system. She also started working on our new, updated user personas and provides ongoing UX audits.

What was the team composition?

UX studio was in direct collaboration with our CTO, me, and our in-house designer.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

In the end, we received what we had signed up for, so we’re delighted. By the end of the six weeks, we received a high-fidelity, clickable prototype of the revamped and restructured search feature, that was based completely on user inputs gathered by the researcher. We got to these results much faster and efficiently than we would’ve on our own thanks to their extra design and research capacity and UX expertise.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We were in continuous contact with the UX studio via Skype, Slack, and InVision throughout the project. They’d present results during our weekly meetings.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We’ve had good experiences with UX studio before, so we weren’t surprised to see their professionalism and dedication once again.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Due to our short timeline, certain things we started together couldn’t be completed and fully followed up on.

**The Review** — Sep 12, 2018

**Feedback Summary**: Users found it easy to navigate the unique, attractive platform. UX studio expertly handled tight deadlines and a complex workflow. The team scheduled frequent progress meetings, offered insightful suggestions, and kept the in-house team engaged throughout the entire process.
""UX studio is a young, dedicated, talented team that is ready to make a difference."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

Sport360 is a multimedia platform that covers local and international sports. We created Sport360.fit, an online fitness and health magazine for women that hosts Arabic and English content. I manage the sports and fitness content, and was also a member of the project team that designed Sport360.fit.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire UX studio?

We hoped to extend the Sport360 brand and reach more people who were interested in health, nutrition, exercise, and better living. We wanted to create a platform dedicated to this content and accessible on multiple devices. This would be the first magazine targeted at an audience in the United Arab Emirates. We imagined a platform with practical food tips, fitness tools, and expert resources to engage the community.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to create a platform that offered a unique, enjoyable reading experience with high-quality content. We knew that our value proposition was good and that demand for Arabic health and fitness content existed. We had a tight schedule and wanted to base the design on our user research. The quality of both the content and design was an important consideration.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor?

We wanted a UX company with experience designing for media outlets and the ability to deliver our expected results on a tight schedule.

Describe the project in detail.

UX studio handled the entire product design while communicating with our development team in Spain. Part of the UX studio team came to our headquarters for a kickoff. It was nice to meet them in person and ensure that they understood our company and objectives.

After they updated the rest of their team about the plan and schedule, we began the project. Given the task's complexity, and the fact that they worked on multiple platforms simultaneously, weekly meetings weren't enough. To keep everyone updated, we held quick meetings with their project manager every morning.

What was the team composition?

The team included two or three people from Sport360, four designers and four researchers from UX studio, and several of our developers. We led the project and consistently communicated with everyone, but UX studio also talked to our developers regularly.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We were happy with the product and user feedback was positive. The final design had a young, fresh look. It's the only magazine of its kind in Dubai. UX studio steadily improved the prototype through user testing. They created an informative and user-friendly platform.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Because of the large team, multiple time zones, and a short timeline, everyone had to work to create an ideal workflow. Coordinating this project was a challenge, but we eventually found tools and methods that worked well. The daily standups were extremely useful. UX studio was transparent; they involved us during every step of the process.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We would definitely work with them again. UX studio is a young, dedicated, talented team that is ready to make a difference. They looked at everything with fresh eyes and brought new ideas to the table, which was useful. They were flexible and agile, and they lived up to our expectations.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Everything worked well, so I cannot think of anything.

""They were attentive and flexible, adapting solutions to handle technical bottlenecks on the development side."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I’m the CEO of Xeropan. We’re a startup with a language-learning app that offers a game-based, AI-powered learning experience to users.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire UX studio?

We needed someone to redesign our mobile app and build a desktop version.

What were your goals for this project?

We mainly wanted to reduce churn rate and, in turn, increase user loyalty. Moreover, we were hoping that by improving onboarding it would be possible to enhance our users’ understanding and perspective of the whole app.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor?

Our developers were supportive of hiring UX studio after working with them at another company.

Describe the project in detail.

The UX team went through a short preparatory period before kickoff so they were prepared from the very beginning. We discussed our main issues, goals, and scope at the first meeting, and based on that, we finalized a project plan. They started by testing our old app and analyzing our inputs and competitors, which helped refine the user journey.

After a week dedicated to sketching and concept testing, they created a prototype, which was tested and iterated over every week. We then decided to redesign the desktop landing page, which eventually led to us designing a whole new web app in the last three weeks of the project. They also gave us suggestions on measurements and possible future changes.

What was the team composition?

Two of their UX designers worked with our team.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Based on the outcomes of the latest tests, the final design and user flows are very good, navigation is more straightforward, and the whole app is easier to understand. There are lots of new functions, as well as a rationalized information architecture. Thanks to their supportive and helpful approach, we learned a great deal about UX.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We spent a lot of time with the UX studio team, either gathering together in their Budapest office or online meetings, or talking on Slack. They were proactive, open to our ideas and feedback, and reacted to everything quickly. They were also transparent about every stage of the process.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was extremely happy that we chose UX studio and was absolutely satisfied with the results. It was fascinating to see how they worked. They were highly prepared, flexible, and consistent. and showed me how effective user research could be; all design decisions were backed by research, which was inspiring. I learned more about UX in these past few weeks than I ever had in my whole life. It makes me want to work with them again.

They came with a lot of UX design and research experience, and our team held a vast amount industrial and technical knowledge and data. The combination of these different backgrounds and areas of expertise created a synergy that helped us progress fast. They were attentive and flexible, adapting solutions to handle technical bottlenecks on the development side.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I cannot mention anything because I’m completely satisfied.

"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I’m a project manager at Profession.hu, a leading recruitment platform in Hungary.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire UX studio?

We needed to redesign a section of our internal applicant tracking system on our recruitment site. Our current platform was outdated in terms of functionality and design. We needed a wireframe for our platform and we also needed UI and branding suggestions.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted an updated system that had new features, including a matchmaking algorithm. We wanted the internal platform to have an applicant tracking system that could be used for recruiters.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor?

UX studio was given an invitation to an RFP because we had personal connections with their team and had heard positive things. After two rounds of presentations, we chose them because they had the best proposal.

Describe the project in detail.

The designer and researcher from UX studio introduced us to a practical, structured design framework. We had a meeting before the project began to help prepare them for the actual kickoff. We discussed the most important elements including business goals, value proposition, user journey, etc. Time was limited during the project so the scheduling was done cautiously. Their team spent two weeks prototyping and testing with our target audience. They came up with ideas for product improvement and suggested many new features.  We had weekly meetings for updates on their progress throughout this time.

What was the team composition?

Five members from our team worked with two people from their UX team at UX studio.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

They were very transparent about what was happening on their side so we always knew where we stood in the process. Both our team and theirs provided opinions and insights at each meeting. Although it was a short project, we stayed within schedule.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We loved their laid-back style and mindset. They were well-organized and we appreciated their transparency throughout the process. The team communicated openly and professionally. Their delivery speed week after week was remarkable. We are 100% satisfied with the quality of their work.

Are there any areas for improvement?

**The Review** — Jul 2, 2018

**Feedback Summary**: UX studio’s findings garnered enthusiastic praise from internally. They provided counsel on how to approach future development, offering crucial insights into the end-user’s experience. Transparency and communication were keys to their success.
"“They were able to use their research to help us prioritize our development.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I’m one of the co-founders of a sidewalk navigation app startup called Route4U. We’re dedicated to making the world accessible for people with wheelchairs. Our app uses community-generated information to map out cities based on wheelchair accessibility and pedestrian infrastructure.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire UX studio?

We needed resources for a short-term project geared toward improving our app’s end-user experience. By the end of the project, we wanted a detailed prototype, a few design suggestions, and comprehensive user research.

What were your goals for this project?

We were collaborating with the City of Dublin as part of the Smart Dublin Project, which seeks to make city-wide pedestrian infrastructure more accessible. To do this, we needed to learn more about why our users used our app and sought ways to engage able-bodied people to use it, too.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor?

Due to the nature of the project, we sought an agency that had a rigorous research process. UX studio had a good reputation, so we went with them.

Describe the project in detail.

Over a five-week period, UX studio gathered a large volume of user insights. They met with key stakeholders from the city council, conducting in-depth interviews with disabled people and representatives from associations that help them. They then mapped out the transportation problems that disabled people and their helpers faced on a daily basis.

Based on their research, they helped us identify business and user priorities for future development. They gathered all of their important insights and suggestions, including a value-impact matrix based on the Kano customer-satisfaction model, and presented them to us in a series of workshops.

Finally, they designed a prototype that included gamification elements to encourage able-bodied users to engage with our product. We plan to go over their prototype with our development team to execute changes to our app.

What was the team composition?

We worked closely with a UX designer and a UX researcher.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

It was important to us that UX studio backed all of their suggestions with research. Despite the time constraints, they gave us significant insights for future development. The city council also appreciated working with them.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It was easy to work with them. We had weekly meetings and communicated via Slack. They were transparent and involved us in the ideation and decision-making processes.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They were able to use their research to help us prioritize our development. Furthermore, they worked quickly and challenged us with thought-provoking questions. We were satisfied with their design and suggestions but could have used even more of them.

Are there any areas for improvement?

It would be beneficial if UX studio suggested reading materials for their clients to ensure that they understood the reasoning behind their decisions. At times, I felt like I lacked the UX design experience to understand the root of our issues. It would have taken too long to explain everything during meetings, so I would have appreciated other learning resources.

**The Review** — May 28, 2018

**Feedback Summary**: Internal stakeholders praise UX studio’s design for its modern feel and accessibility. They strategically divvied the work between design and research teams, which enabled them to offer crucial user insights. Their observations proved critical in turning strict time lines into a functional demo.
"“Despite limitations in our methodology, they were able to bring creative ideas to the table.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I’m the co-founder and CEO of a software development company called IncQuery Labs. Our firm has over 50 years of total research and development experience in model-driven engineering. We work with clients from all over the world and are part of the open-source software ecosystem.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire UX studio?

We were working on developing a web-based prototype engineering tool. It’s a new generation model-based system engineering (MBSE) technology that allowed users to scale out engineering tools with web technology.

However, the software was 10 years old with major usability issues; and it was in desperate need of a redesign. We wanted to migrate the tool to the web and modernize its look with a friendlier, easy-to-use interface. As a result, we approached UX studio to focus on the UI and user interactions.

What were your goals for this project?

We had five weeks to develop a concept and create a design for a product demo. Given the short time frame, we initially limited the scope to design work. But once we started the project, they assigned a UX researcher to provide insights throughout the process. We expanded their role to include usability testing.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor?

Another firm that had worked with UX studio before referred them to us.

Describe the project in detail.

They provided two main teams: the UX team and the UX researcher. Both teams worked in close tandem with our internal developers to finalize the concept and create the design for our product demo. The UX team focused on the prototype and designs, honing in on smaller interactions and functions that would make the software more user-friendly.

While they worked on the interface, the researcher immediately started usability tests. Because the product was interaction-heavy, we decided to conduct user tests in one block. We allotted two weeks for the researcher to lead eight user tests. He collaborated closely with our developers, delivering insights about the tool’s accessibility, which we incorporated into a working demo.

What was the team composition?

Their team consisted of a designer, developer, UX researcher, and an expert. They coordinated closely with our in-house developers, including myself.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Changing an MBSE tool was no easy task; there were strict rules that we needed to follow, so our creativity was limited. With UX studio’s support, we managed to give a fresh look to the interface and improved its usability. Not only did the team allow us to develop and test a mock-up, we were able to test a working demo, which proved to be extremely useful to the overall design process. By the end of the project, we ended up with a highly improved product in terms of usability and design.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

They collaborated closely with our team, attending weekly in-person meetings and providing new insights They wanted to ensure that it was possible to develop their designs, so they maintained constant communication with our developers as well as our designer and business leaders. We used an agile methodology, which suited our workflow well. While they clearly defined their process, we were able to modify it based on our project needs. In terms of daily back and forth, we used Slack and Skype to coordinate.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Compared to other design firms that we’d worked with, we were satisfied with UX studio’s professionalism and quality of work. Not only were they flexible and communicative, they took the time to understand our product in order to give the best solutions. Despite limitations in our methodology, they were able to bring creative ideas to the table. Their teams also worked in pairs, which allowed for productive, quick interactions and more in-depth observations.

Are there any areas for improvement?

There were times when I felt that they could have made more creative/artistic decisions, but they ultimately delivered an exceptional final product.

**Feedback Summary**: The research produced valuable and impactful insights that directly influenced product development. UX studio seamlessly integrated with the internal team by communicating regularly, offering a creative design thinking methodology, and participating wholly in bi-weekly meetings and progress demos.
""They are a solid, flexible, and professional team that delivers highly valuable research results."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the co-founder and vice president of engineering of ArcSecond, a technology startup that combines wearables and internet of things (IoT). We have teams of engineers based in San Diego and Budapest, with a few other team members in the UAE. With a focus on building frictionless and visceral experiences from a user standpoint, our wearable and IoT platforms consist of cutting edge hardware, software and cloud-based products that support multiple markets.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire UX studio?

We worked with UX studio on a wearable health-tech solution. We hired them to conduct an extensive user research and field study in multiple UAE hospitals, then create a user-centric design based on their findings.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goal was to have a better understanding of our target audience’s needs. We wanted to use the insights from physiotherapists and patients to design an end-to-end minimum viable product, including the UI and an interactive design.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor?

UX studio’s mature online presence caught our attention: each blog post, video or other publication offers valuable information not just about UX, but about building business in general. We have quickly learned that their frequent tips and the quality of their content prove not only that they follow the latest trends, but that they are also learning the foundations of building a sustainable business and leading by example for other companies.

Describe the project in detail.

After an initial meeting with our CEO and UX lead, the UX team was introduced to our development team. We discussed the characteristics of the technology we would be working with and they presented us with their working methods and expected outputs. Our cross-functional team, which included developers, UX researchers, and designers, carried out field research collaboratively. Multiple methods were used to explore user needs, such as engaged interviews, observation, and user tests. It was amazing to see real users interact with our product. After the field study, the UX team continued mapping out the user workflow, building prototypes, and conducting user testing. Ideas and product iterations continued to evolve based on test results, but we kept the team structure throughout the whole project, working in bi-weekly sprints. Every week started with a product planning session attended by the whole project team, and the UX team presented their progress in bi-weekly product demos. After careful consideration at the conclusion of the product discovery phase, our company pivoted toward a broader product strategy, resulting in product and workflow improvements.

What was the team composition?

The team consisted of two UX researchers and one UX designer from UX studio and, from ArcSecond, a project manager (PM), UX lead, development team, and the CEO.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

UX studio’s highly valuable user insights from the field research and user feedback helped us shift in a better product direction, and their core interaction design allowed us to create a more seamless experience. Their introduction of design thinking methodology to our development team was eye-opening, especially among the engineers; it had a positive impact on our workflow, overall communication, and the final product. Throughout the whole process, they were flexible and responsive to changes and open to feedback.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We established a collaborative relationship with UX studio early on. The PM translated our company’s mission statement into product strategy and high-level product specifications and incorporated our technical and UX feedback. The UX lead then developed those specifications into the design strategy, working closely with the UX studio design team. The functional prototypes we built with their UX team resulted in more reliable user test results, and they constantly communicated with us, our designer, and our business leads to make sure their design was feasible.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They are a solid, flexible, and professional team that provides efficient communication and delivers highly valuable research results.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Involving members equally in the process was difficult due to the size of the group, and there were some initial mistakes in the mockups. However, their effective communication and proactive approach allowed us to get back on track and we now see progress every week.

**The Review** — May 16, 2018

**Feedback Summary**: UX studio delivered a fully functioning prototype in time for an international conference. They used project management tools to receive real time feedback and communicate effectively. Although they would benefit from expanding their copywriting service, their focus on testing makes them stand out.
"“We enjoyed how they tried to understand the needs of our customers, and tried to make the product better for them.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I’m a co-founder of Payment Courier, a fintech startup. Our solution allows merchants to easily integrate split payments and delegated payments into their  checkout flow. We allow customers to invite their friends to participate direclty in their checkout and share the costs.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire UX studio?

We needed to update our software demo based on user research, as well as refresh some aspects of our branding.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to have all the findings and updates completed in seven weeks, in time for an upcoming financial conference in the U.S.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor?

I read the book that the CEO of UX studio wrote a while ago. He seemed to understands how to UX research properly, and we needed all this done in a very short timeframe.

Describe the project in detail.

We started with a full-day, kick-off workshop to go through the main assumptions, goals, and issues to be resolved, as well as to plan the project accordingly. The UX team started with analyzing our demo and by doing user tests, the results of which served as a basis for later work. We iterated the demo together, and then they presented the first “look and feel” designs, which allowed us to start prototyping a new version of the software. They tested not only the functionalities, but the UI as well. In the following two weeks, they created a wireframe for the desktop and mobile versions. In the end, the UX team gave us a fully functioning prototype, and a collection of new design elements.

We had meetings with them every Monday, they would update the designs on Tuesday and Wednesday, and we’d discuss the changes on Thursday, after which, they went on to testing. They carried out two to four user tests every week, and based on the outcomes of testing, they would iterate the product by the end of the week. We would discuss outcomes the next Monday and then the next sprint would start.

What was the team composition?

We worked with a UX researcher and one other team member.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We’re very satisfied with the final design. By the end of the process, we got a clickable, functioning prototype, for both mobile and desktop, along with a final UI kit. We also have a refreshed brand image and a new logo. We're happy that we’ll be able to present the demo, with great confidence, at a very important international conference.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We found Invision’s commenting function really useful, and we used it a lot, along with the Agile process. Outside meetings, most communication was carried out via Slack. UX studio works in weekly design sprints, which made planning easy and constantly brought new results.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The user tests resulted in really helpful feedback. We also loved the flexibility with which the UX studio team looked at our software, and their daring to change things that we thought were rock solid. By tearing down the obsolete parts of our UI, our software became much better. We were also 100% satisfied with the team’s communication and transparency, and the agile and proactive approach they worked with. We enjoyed how they tried to understand the needs of our customers, and tried to make the product better for them.

Working with UX studio and answering their questions during the meetings helped us think things through. They completed all the tasks with great professionalism and enthusiasm, but they did more than that: they helped us with additional strategy and design-related suggestions. We now have a lot of additional user insights that we can implement later.

Are there any areas for improvement?

They should’ve involved more of their team at the beginning of the project so we could go through some of their ideas. It might’ve helped us find solutions to our problems quicker. We also felt that copywriting should be a more core part of their business. These are, however, only small observations. On the most part, we were extremely satisfied and would definitely work with UX studio again.

**Feedback Summary**: The design was delivered and the website is going live in May. UX studio accurately reflected business objectives in their work and ensured simple integration through full-team collaboration. They instilled a strong dedication to idea-generation and promoted transparency, as well as mutual growth.
"“They consistently delivered more than expected, and did so with a flexible and open attitude…”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I’m the Digital Marketing Manager at TRIGO Group, a global player in the quality automotive, aerospace, and transport solutions industry.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire UX studio?

We needed to redesign our global website. We were also looking for business analysis to better understand the needs of our target group.

What were your goals for this project?

We aimed to create a new online presence that not only communicated our value proposition and service range better than our current site does, but also pleased visitors with an easy and understandable structure and visual design.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor?

We wanted to have a better overview of why and how people use our website, and what we can do as a company to improve this experience. This is why decided to hire an experienced UX company, instead of a normal web design team. We had heard about UX studio before, and they have a reputation for precise and good-quality work, no matter the industry.

Can you go into detail about the services they provided and the scope of the project?

We wanted to gather a large number of user insights before we actually designed the UI, so the researcher from UX Studio did interviews and usability tests to understand stakeholders’ and customers’ needs. After each round of research, they incorporated the findings into weekly prototype iterations.

What was the team composition?

We worked with one designer and one researcher from UX studio.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The new website is under development, and the launch date is set for May 2018. The new website restructured the content and services provided by the company. It brought significant change and incorporated new business objectives.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Thanks to weekly sprints and iterations, we felt synchronized from the beginning of the project. UX studio’s team helped us look at web development in a more structured and organized way. We hope to continue utilizing the Agile methods they showcased for us during this project.

During the whole process, their team was in regular communication and collaboration with our developers, making sure that the final design could be seamlessly integrated into our already existing IT solutions.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their flexibility and agility took us by surprise. They consistently delivered more than expected, and did so with a flexible and open attitude, as well as very clear communication. The team at UX studio has mastered idea-generation and finds solutions to problems within a limited timeframe. They not only advised us from a UX point of view, they also took the time to gain an understanding of our industry, business model, and the challenges that come with it. We also liked how transparent their team was.

Are there any areas where they can improve?

During a project this long, it’s normal to sometimes doubt the progress you’ve made or the distance yet to go. We sometimes had miscommunications or disagreements within the team, but given the realities we had to work with, we couldn’t be happier with the result.

**Feedback Summary**: Improving the layout, menu structure, and checkout processes, the work ensured the platform is easier to use and navigate. The team managed the project effectively, working in sprints to keep track of the weekly process.
"“We also liked the weekly meetings and research.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I’m Online Marketing Manager at Libri-Bookline, a large bookstore in Hungary that features Hungarian and foreign paperback and e-books, audiobooks, music, and films.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire UX studio?

We wanted to redesign our platform, mainly the UI but also a few functionalities. We had collected a large amount of user feedback over the years that we wanted to incorporate.

What were your goals for this project?

We were looking to achieve a more youthful look and increase our conversion rates through improved usability. We needed the platform updated for different devices—desktop, mobile, tablet.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor?

We selected them via a tender.

Describe the project in detail.

They helped us redesign some of our flows and layouts—we created a more modern look and more user-friendly surface.

In the beginning, we had a kickoff meeting, which was very useful because we had the chance to walk them through our business model and the pains our users were experiencing. They wanted to understand our business objectives and also any potential technological limitations.

The project then had two phases.  From November to December, we focused on the redesign of the desktop version. Then, from December to March, we moved onto the mobile app and improving its processes, especially the checkout process.

What was the team composition?

We worked with two people: a designer and a researcher.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

They managed to redesign our existing platforms for multiple devices. They improved the layout and menu structure, as well as our checkout processes. They made suggestions and plans for the future that we can later implement. We’re satisfied with the design.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

During the project, they worked in sprints, so they gave us updates on the progress every week. This was useful because we had a better overview on what was going on and they also brought new research findings to us each week. The workflow and communication were good.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We liked the fact that they work in couples. This makes balanced communication easier and we didn’t have to rely on only one person. We also liked the weekly meetings and research. What they designed one week, they tested the next, which was great for fast iterations.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Although we understood that their main focus was on the design, some of the suggestions they made were not entirely valid from a business point of view. Also, their administration of each individual task could be improved—maybe some better tools could be used for this. Problems didn’t occur very often though. Most of the time, communication was good.

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I’m a product officer at InSimu. We’re startup developing an app that is a healthcare education tool, where users can simulate medical care by diagnosing virtual patients.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire UX Studio?

We had an MVP, but in order to fit the product to users’ needs, we wanted to redesign the UI and refresh the brand’s identity.

What were your goals for this project?

We needed all our user flows and the whole UX revisited, then paired with high-quality UI design.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor?

We attended a conference where their CEO was one of the speakers. We really liked his speech about the importance of research-based design as well as the case study he presented. We went to talk to him and eventually decided that we would like to work with them.

Can you go into detail about the services they provided and the scope of the project?

They did the UX and UI design for our mobile and desktop apps, as well as the UI design for our tablet version.

There was a one to two-week discovery phase, where the team got to know us and the product, gathered user insights, and presented some mood boards and sketches. We then started wireframing the mobile and then the tablet apps. After the UI phase started for these platforms, they started focusing on wireframing the desktop version. They created high-fidelity prototypes and a full design to handover to our developers.

Meanwhile, we also held one or two strategy workshops where we looked at customer pain points and then discussed feature prioritization. The UX studio team was very proactive, helping us with different techniques. They also helped plan future steps making suggestions on how to further improve the product after our collaboration ended.

What was the team composition?

There were four people closely involved in the project, two from their team and two from ours.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Collaborating with their team was very easy. We were always informed about everything and the weekly meetings were great. They delivered very high-quality work that we are still using to this day, all on a tight schedule. We also liked that they were proactive, constantly coming up with new ideas. We would definitely consider working with them in the future.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We were very efficient with time. New developments came every week and we managed to synchronize our schedules very effectively. The team was very transparent and kept us informed about everything.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They were really fast at getting up to speed with the requirements of building a product for such a specific market. We appreciated their agile approach—they like getting things done, just like we do. They should definitely keep this speed and their youthful enthusiasm.

Are there any areas for improvement?

As we are mainly focusing on a foreign audience, we would have appreciated more customer insights from these groups, as well as more user insights coming from our specific target markets.

**Feedback Summary**: The video streaming service is currently live to customers and has paved the way to further develop the sports streaming market. The team's dynamic and flexible workflow eased collaboration. Their innovative business strategies created through researched consumer data are hallmarks of their work.
""It is no surprise we came back to them with multiple new contracts as we were very content with their work."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the product development manager of the Pay-TV division for Antenna Hungaria, one of the biggest players on the telecommunications field. We offer national radio, television, satellite program broadcasting, and distribution and infrastructure services.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire UX studio?

We hired UX studio to solve several digital challenges. We wanted to redesign existing products and create new ones while having a unified but refreshed brand identity. We wanted to base this all on solid research.

What were your goals for this project?

We need to adapt to the technological advancements of the 21st century and make our digital content available everywhere. It was a priority for us to design products that our viewers actually want to use. We wanted to offer a wide range of streaming and over-the-top (OTT) content on different platforms. Our aim was to create a new, more enjoyable, and fully personalized viewing experience for our customers. With a sports app, we are targeting a specific segment in Hungary, sports fans who do not want to solely rely on TV channels.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor?

We heard of UX studio before, so we decided to reach out to them directly. They previously worked on HBO’s streaming service and other telecom apps as well, so we knew that they had experience in this business. We were very content with the outcomes of our first project together in the beginning of 2017, so we decided to stay with them for a total of four different projects.

Describe the project in detail.

At the beginning of each project, the UX team started off by analyzing the current market situation, business goals, and users' needs. They met with us every week to define user personas and relay researched consumer behavior done mostly through user interviews. As they started the design phase with wireframing, they came back to us every week with new research findings to make sure we are always in the loop. UX studio redesigned our HbbTV platform for different devices, including smart TV. They also designed an on-demand video streaming service from scratch. They worked for two-to-three months on each project.

What was the team composition?

UX studio provided a designer, researcher, and a developer.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We are happy with the outcomes so far. Most of the applications and platforms designed by UX studio are now implemented and available for our customers. We now possess Hungary’s first sports streaming app. With these new products, Antenna Hungaria is apt and able to compete in this market. We were really happy with UX studio after each project.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

UX studio’s approach and work methods brought a nice change to our existing workflows. As a state-owned company, their dynamic and flexible way of work was refreshing. We liked their idea of “design sprints”, which brought novelties every week. The team was also very fast in incorporating new ideas. They were also very proactive, suggesting ideas about not only design, but our business model as well. They made collaboration was easy.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

With decision-making within the team being slow at times, we liked that the UX studio team brought a new approach to us. They often made several versions from one thing, and they brought new ideas to the table all the time. For example, based on the data analysis, they suggested a completely new subscription strategy for us. It is no surprise we came back to them with multiple new contracts as we were very content with their work.

Are there any areas for improvement?

They could improve their documentation of designs. It was sometimes hard for us to follow what changes happened when. This was a minor issue and on the whole, we were completely happy with UX studio’s team and their performance.

**Feedback Summary**: After UX Studio’s implementations, the booking rate for each lead increased by up to 200% in the app. They’re a collaborative and communicative team, making project management easy. Though not everyone on the team is equally proactive, they are responsive, and offer valuable ideas and suggestions.
""[They] give great insights on how we can improve our designs and business.""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

My company is a flight search engine that buys airline tickets from multiple partner sites, including the biggest Western European travel agencies. I am the product manager, which means I'm responsible for solving the highest priority problems, UX or business-wise, improving the user experience, and creating new features or adjusting current ones.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with UX Studio?

When I arrived at UX Studio, we didn't have actual user feedback, and we realized that we were basically flying blind without it. We wanted to hire a UX researcher, but the market is unsteady, so we decided to hire an external agency instead. We had our platform in place, so we just needed someone to come in with a user experience perspective to help us redesign some of the aspects.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We have an iOS app, but it’s quite old, and we haven't touched it from a UX perspective. Right now we’re focusing on our web and Android apps. UX Studio has worked on multiple projects with us, and our Android project was either the first or second project we worked on together. We built the Android app from the ground-up. We didn't keep anything, design or technical-wise, from the previous application, so UX Studio had to redesign the whole user flow for web and mobile devices, which means that every step of the user flow had to be redesigned.

They made major refurbishments to our web flight results page, which had to be responsive, so we had to do different screen resolutions and use different use cases. UX Studio basically helped us define how we should build up, how we should define the information hierarchy, and how to make sure we drive the user’s focus where we wanted. They didn't just help us with the user research; they helped us get design resources as well.

They did initial user research where they identified the problem, and then they came up with wireframe-designed solutions and worked closely with the engineers to make sure that what they test and design is the deliverable we needed. Once our engineer delivered the modifications, then we tested them on real users. Basically we had quick iterative loops, once or twice a week, where we got feedback on what we delivered on the website and what we were planning to deliver.

How did you come to work with UX Studio?

It didn't take us long to find UX Studio. We felt like one of our partner agencies, a design agency, wasn’t giving us the necessary effort on our UX, and we also needed the research component. So we started researching Hungarian UX agencies. One of our colleagues had a friend who owned or founded UX Studio, and we had a couple of interviews with them. They convinced us that they were good at what they’re doing, and they had what we were looking for. We also found that UX Studio had the best potential. We had a pilot project, which included a rewrite of our Android application. The pilot ended up quite well, so we continued to work with them.

How much have you invested with UX Studio?

We had different contracts and people involved during our work with UX Studio. We spent between €4,000 ($4,600) and €7,000 ($8,000) a month, and we’ve worked together for about 18 months.

What is the status of this engagement?

I think we have been working together for at least 1 ½ years now, and we’re still working together.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

We managed to increase our booking per lead 100% to 200% through our application, which is quite good. Now we’re working on increasing the business we do through the web, which is already doing quite well. We’ve had a fairly significant increase in conversions.

How did UX Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

Depending on our contract and how much research we needed, we had one or two part-time designers and UX researchers, or some kind of combination of part-time designers and researchers. So we usually had meetings with 2 people from UX Studio. I think they hold meetings on a weekly basis with their colleagues and brainstorm about problems with which they are struggling. I think it was really helpful in some cases.

It was a bit rough in the beginning, because it was new for us to have that level of involvement in our processes, so we also had to change and act accordingly. As I see it, when we had any kind of feedback on what we wanted to change or what we missed from their process, they acted immediately. They were very responsive and proactive, and they had a lot of suggestions for how we could improve our design and design workflow. They also introduced us to a tool that would help with that. Now we are feeling a better cooperation with both UX Studio and our own internal designers.

What did you find most impressive about UX Studio?

What I really like about UX Studio is that they rotate their designers to make sure that any member can easily be replaced by anyone else in the studio. I noticed quite often that if one of the designers or UX researchers had to be away from work for a certain period of time, then someone else could jump in and easily catch up in a few days or a week and continue to be a full and valuable member of the team. They’re flexible, and I think that adds great value. They also give great insights on how we can improve our designs and business. They were also quick to understand our business.

Are there any areas UX Studio could improve?

As I mentioned, they have multiple designers who work for them, and there is a big difference in terms of personality and proactivity among these designers. Everybody is equally good at everything we needed, but some of them are better at reorganization or proactivity. Some of them push us to change our processes, and some of them are more proactive than the others. Their latest designer was to improve our design processes and suggest new ways of working.

Sometimes they have problems with getting users who are good matches for our user group. Because we are working mostly in the French market, we need French people or foreigners who travel. But in Budapest it’s quite hard to get the usual French people. I think this is one problem they face a lot and they have to solve.

""We’ve worked with many other outsourced teams, but I appreciated UX Studio the most.""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

We are a small startup in Hungary. We have developed a number of tools and technologies, including facial recognition. We have two product lines: one for the retail industry, and one for home users. I am the product owner of our home security system. It uses a camera and sends notifications to users in the event of a break-in or a similar event. The system is based on deep learning and can send customized notifications. We are still in the development process for it. We plan to sell the service itself, not the hardware behind it.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with UX Studio?

We don’t have a designer in the company, which was our first challenge.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

UX Studio has provided design and wireframing work, as well as insights into user interfaces. They helped us a lot in that area. They created designs for our web and mobile application and performed a lot of field research, user interviews, and testing. We had a three-person team from UX Studio’s side, including one designer and two researchers. The development was handled on our side, and it was a bit of a challenge for UX Studio to work with our programmers, but they did a great job. Some developers can be peculiar, so talking in the same language may not be easy. UX Studio advised us on many issues and created a great environment. We’ve worked with many other outsourced teams, but I appreciated UX Studio the most.

In collaboration with UX Studio, we created all the elements of our interface, like the notification system, video player components, account settings and so on – for the web and mobile apps. They tested every new design, giving us feedback in real-time from actual users. We had something in mind but hadn’t approached potential customers yet.

How did you come to work with UX Studio?

We received a recommendation from a friend. There is also a lot of information about UX Studio in Hungarian media. They are seen as one of the best UX companies in the country. UX Studio has a great methodology and can provide a full team for the work. We’ve implemented many of their methods and learned a lot from their team.

How much have you invested with UX Studio?

The cost of UX Studio’s work was around $35,000–$40,000 in total.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with UX Studio around June of 2016. The project was concluded at the beginning of February of 2017.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or impact of the engagement?

Our product is a bit complicated, as the retail platform is based on the home version. We have launched a pilot version for the retail product, and it has been used and appreciated by customers. It’s easy-to-use and functional. The stakeholders in our company have also liked it.

How did UX Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

They delivered everything on time and within budget. UX Studio was proactive and worked closely with our team. I acted as project manager and received everything in due time after making a request.

What did you find most impressive about UX Studio?

They differentiate themselves from other companies through their methodologies. UX Studio is a great company, compared to the other ones I’ve seen in the Hungarian market. I’ve had a great experience with them, and I highly recommend UX Studio to others.

Are there any areas UX Studio could improve?

They asked us this question also, and we couldn’t answer it. Nothing comes to mind.

- Industry: Telecommunications

- Review Type: Phone Interview

**The Review** — Apr 20, 2017

**Feedback Summary**: UX Studio brought a youthful energy to their work; they were always flexible and motivated. The team was always prepared and delivered on time. They researched thoroughly in order to deliver the best product, and it worked: clients love the new interface.

""I think UX Studio is the best provider in Hungary."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the managing director of a cloud-based contact center and telecommunication provider, mainly for the European Union and Hungary. We have cloud-based contact center software for agents and providers to manage their call centers. Agents can make and receive calls and chat messages.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with UX Studio?
We didn’t have time to focus on UI and UX, and we didn’t have much experience. We started to learn a little bit, and attended an international conference which was very interesting.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?
We had a quite complex user interface. There are many things that can be changed, and it was very difficult. No one in our company was in charge of this user interface, and it wasn’t very nice. We wanted to provide a better quality to our customers and have a nice user interface. We didn’t want just a design facelift, but a complete redesign of the whole user interface.
We started to focus on the agent user interface, then a few months later, on our supervisor or administrator interface. We had weekly meetings, and the whole process took approximately a year. They started by doing research, and they asked questions of myself and our customer care end. The typical users of our solution are call center agents and administrators or supervisors, so there are two different interfaces. We wanted to work on the agent interface first, then the one for supervisors. They took a scientific approach to the project, which I liked. They started with the questions, then the wireframes and research. It was quite a complex and long process. The final step was only the design.
We used another company to develop our brand. UX Studio was able to use the same branding guidelines to help with the design for this project. This is desktop software, so a web application. We had one researcher and one designer working on the project.
How did you come to work with UX Studio?
We have an English teacher who also works with UX Studio. We were talking about UX and UI, and our English teacher said he had another client who specializes in that area. When we started talking with UX Studio, it was impressive that we didn’t want to really talk to other companies.  UX Studio was very interesting; they’re a startup company, and I thought they would work well. We did receive proposals from other companies, but their experience wasn’t that good. I think UX Studio is the best provider in Hungary.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project began in March of 2016, and the work was completed in March of 2017. If we have any new bigger features, then we want to work with them again.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?
We launched the project many years ago, and this was a user interface redesign. We had a lot of plans, but we didn’t have a lot of time to implement them. The planning phase is done, but we need time to implement the new user interface. Some parts are available to users, but not everything.
We received feedback from the research part, and the clients really like this approach. We received feedback regarding the new user interface. There was only one little mistake in one user interface, but 99% was perfect. Our clients really like the new facelift. It is much more modern. The previous user interface was very old, and some of our customers thought the new one was weird or strange. They liked the results, but it was just a little strange because it was new. It was a huge change.
How did UX Studio perform from a project management standpoint?
I think they handled it very well. They were always prepared, and they always did everything as promised. They were always able to organize the research and everything. We used Google Docs, Drive, and Sheets, and also a chat solution, but I can’t remember the name. We mostly used email and personal meetings for communication.
What did you find most impressive about UX Studio?
They’re a young team, and they are very flexible and motivated. They really try to do their job very professionally. It’s a startup company, but I think they are very good.
Are there any areas UX Studio could improve?
I don’t think they have any big problems. They can adapt very easily. We didn’t have any problems at all.

**Feedback Summary**: Investors and end users have given positive feedback on the app’s look and feel. The UX Studio team was proactive and talented, and they excelled at really listening to the business needs. They left nothing to be desired.

""Since I’ve been working with UX Studio, I really trust them and am happy with their work. "
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.
TruckIN develops digital products for the trucking industry in Europe. We are based in Berlin and Budapest. I’m CEO and cofounder.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with UX Studio?
We wanted to prototype our MVP for both mobile and web applications. We did not have a UX designer in-house so we needed to work with UX Studio to improve our frontend UI/UX.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?
They did MVP prototyping including research, creating user profiles, and conducting usability tests. We sat down and did a workshop together to understand our needs and our customer group. They provided us with wireframes for both the mobile and web applications. The development of the apps was performed by our internal team.
The first 10 months of our partnership were intensive: we talked to them every day. We also met with them once a week face to face. We used Zeplin to communicate on each design. They did everything from the mockups to the beta version product. Currently, some of the products they helped us with are on the market. Based on user feedback and our requirements, they are now modifying the design. They are always trying to find the best possible solutions to our problems. They continue to perform testing with our users. If there is a problem, they do a new usability test with the different customer groups. We draw up a hypothesis of how the solution could work and they validate it. If it looks good, they design it and we implement it. There were 3 team members working with us on our project.
How did you come to work with UX Studio?
I had worked with UX Studio in 2014 and I really liked their approach and how they work. I didn’t really look for any competitors; I just selected them again.
How much have you invested with UX Studio?
We have spent between $60,000 and $70,000 over the course of our relationship.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in July 2016, and the work is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?
All the feedback has gotten better over the course of our relationship. We launched our product two months ago and haven’t completely set up the metrics to measure how effective the design is. On the prototyping phase, I have a feeling they’re performing well and user feedback shows that as well. The users and investors have given good feedback that the design looks really professional.
How did UX Studio perform from a project management standpoint?
They were excellent and really proactive. There was one person leading the design element of the project and another person did the user research, usability tests, and user feedback.
What did you find most impressive about UX Studio?
They were really focused on delivering solutions and listening to our needs. Since I’ve been working with UX Studio, I really trust them and am happy with their work. I’ve worked with 5 or 6 different digital suppliers who were hard to communicate with. There were misunderstandings with these other companies, but with UX Studio, that never happened. They are really outstanding compared to others in this industry.
I like their approach of a flat organizational structure. If they get a project within the company, a team of designers and researchers take all the responsibilities to satisfy the customer. It’s like a mini-corporation within the corporation and I think this approach is very effective.
Are there any areas UX Studio could improve?
No. I got everything I needed.

**The Review** — Oct 10, 2016

**Feedback Summary**: UX Studio's personal touch differentiated them from their competitors, and they excelled in project management and communication. The client cites no areas for improvement and is highly satisfied with the end product.
""We are very happy with the result, and we’ll work with them again."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

We offer an influencer marketing platform on which fashion bloggers or Instagrammers collaborate with brands they like. It’s like a matchmaking system. The brands get an opportunity to choose the best influencer for their campaign. I founded StyleLike with my husband this year. Right now, there are 5 people in our company.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with UX Studio?

We didn’t know which functions our platform should have. We already knew what we wanted to offer, but we didn’t know how we were supposed to do it. We’d heard about user experience before so we started to look for companies that could help us deliver this platform. We wanted to offer features like influencer analytics so that users can create reports about the success of the campaign. That’s what UX Studio is helping us do.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

UX Studio designed the website and the platform. Many of the ideas for the functions came from UX Studio, and the way that they are displayed makes them different. They were responsible for the user experience, all the functions, all the process that customers have to go through during the campaigns, everything, the whole website. They also conducted user personas and user testing. They helped us solve some problems and made our platform unique.

How did you come to work with UX Studio?

My husband was looking for user experience companies on the Internet. He just contacted one of UX Studio's employees, and they reacted very fast. UX Studio even came to Germany. We had a kickoff meeting here.

How much have you invested with UX Studio?

We spend $9,000 to $10,000 per month.

What is the status of this engagement?

UX Studio worked on the platform from June to September 2016.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

We’re very happy with the design. We haven’t launched yet as we are still programming. You can already see the website design, but the functions are not there yet. That’s why we haven’t gotten any feedback yet. Some people we know have asked for the contact information of UX Studio.

How did UX Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

They were very flexible. Every week, we planned what had to be done with UX Studio. They put 2 colleagues on our project. They were working on the project full-time and they were always available. I really enjoyed the communication.

What did you find most impressive about UX Studio?

UX Studio came here to Berlin; I don’t know if other companies do that, but that impressed me. It was nice because then we could meet them personally. It’s my first time to work with a user experience company and I really like the approach that they have. There’s that balance of being professional while having a warm personal relationship. From the beginning, I really enjoyed working with UX Studio.

Are there any areas UX Studio could improve?

No, not really. I cannot think of anything wrong or anything they should improve right now. Everything worked perfectly with them, to be honest.

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.I’m the CEO and founder of Inquisita, an early-stage startup.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with UX studio?I hired UX studio to refine the UI/UX design of our product and help us create an initial iteration of our MVP.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?Initially, we scheduled a kickoff call to discuss the project at a high level, create milestones, and establish a routine for our meetings. From there, we started performing user research, interviewing people about the field and competing products in the marketplace. The designer created a bunch of branding materials to understand the look and feel we wanted. After that, we dove into the actual UI/UX design, which was an iterative process with a lot of back and forth. We interviewed attorneys and paralegals throughout the process to ensure that what we were building aligned with our users’ desires. For tools, we used Adobe and Figma. What is the team composition? We worked with three people from UX studio, including the client relations manager, Gábor, the designer, and Ana, the UX researcher. How did you come to work with UX studio?I found UX studio on Google. I reached out to them and other design firms. They provided a bid and competed with other design agencies. **RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? At the end of the eight weeks, we had a prototype of what the product would look like, high-fidelity mock-ups of the unique workflows within the product, and a handover of all the UI components and tools that our frontend engineers needed to implement the product. They completed all the required Figma mock-ups we needed to develop the MVP.They developed 20 out of 20 high-fidelity mock-ups for the MVP. They also provided a UI kit and a prototype to demonstrate the product's features and functionality. The designs received positive feedback. How did UX studio perform from a project management standpoint?UX studio completed everything on time and stayed on budget. They were highly communicative and transparent about the pricing. We met twice a week and discussed how we wanted things to be laid out. Moreover, we used Figma for project management and communicated via Google Meet, Gmail, and Google Chat. What did you find most impressive about them?Their user research was thorough and allowed us to validate many of our hypotheses about how the product would be useful by getting user feedback. The team made several suggestions throughout the whole process. In fact, they suggested how to present the information to attorneys and paralegals, which was very useful. Are there any areas they could improve? Some more structured meetings would’ve been good. There wasn’t an agenda for many meetings, which was fine because it allowed us to be more dynamic. However, an agenda would’ve been useful for some of those status meetings.Do you have any advice for potential customers?Leverage their user research resources as much as possible. They’re helpful in understanding what your users want. Allow them to perform their user research and empower them to do that. Do not hold back on that front.

### Mobile app redesign for healthcare

Nanoleq partnered with us to redesign the app for their innovative wearable device, Oxa. This advanced garment provides real-time biofeedback to enhance well-being through mindful breathing.

Since Oxa provides real-time feedback, we knew users needed easy navigation to make the experience seamless.  We gathered insights from user segments and repeatedly tested  navigation and usability to align with real needs.

Our research-based design have earned us both a Red Dot Design Award and a long-term partnership with Nanoleq.

### Insurance web application design
Duck Creek Technologies is a leading provider of Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance software and services, empowering insurers worldwide with agile and innovative solutions. During a 7-month-long redesign collaboration we focused on their AI-assisted predictive model creator.

We built a robust infrastructure supporting Duck Creek's Machine Learning platform’s experiments. Taking inspiration from Google Drive's file system, our design allowed for efficient file organization, navigation, search, and permissions management.

### MVP for cross platform entertainment
Our designer/researcher team scoped and prioritized features to define a Minimum Viable Product (MVP).

We conducted iterative testing and refinement of the platform to create a more seamless, unified user experience across all platforms.

We handed over a well-defined roadmap based on user feedback and iterative testing, as well as a market-specific competitive analysis.

### Robotics app redesign
Revolution Robotics is a nonprofit aiming to make STEM education more accessible through a robotics kit and a companion app. We collaborated in redesigning their mobile app, improving usability, engagement, and the overall learning experience.

We’ve done this by creating a scalable platform that supports Revolution Robotics' mission with improved information architecture and more engaging user flows.

The redesign was optimized for digital-physical experiences for students of all skill levels. A well-defined design system ensures consistency and speeds up future design work. We also introduced gamification elements to further enhance engagement.

### Fintech mobile app design
CreditcardGenius is a Canadian credit card comparison platform that evaluates over 126 features of more than 200 credit cards, providing objective ratings, rankings, and reviews to help users find the best financial products.

Our UX professionals created the wireframes of their new app, geniusCash. Additionally, we compiled a comprehensive research report that included insights and recommendations derived from the usability tests and  the interviews conducted during the project.

### Ecommerce web and app design
Autoscout24 is a popular online car marketplace headquartered in Germany, with over 40 million monthly users and over 43.000 dealer partners. We’ve been collaborating for over three years, becoming integral members of their product teams.

We have improved both the Buyer and Seller experience, and streamlined dealer registration and stock management. We reviewed online checkout processes, maintained UI consistency, and made financing options clearer, with different services such as delivery, warranty, insurance and registration.

### iPad OS + MacOS design for healthcare
EZDERM is a healthcare technology company that specializes in electronic health record (EHR) software specifically designed for dermatology practices.

We developed a redesign plan for their cross-platform software in just 4 weeks to address various usability challenges, enhance customer satisfaction, and ultimately drive revenue growth.

For this, we conducted user interviews and workshops with various customer segments, performed heuristic evaluations on every user touchpoint, and mapped user flows to identify navigation issues an information architecture problems.

Based on these research findings, we established the design system foundations through close collaboration with the development team, and led a prioritisation workshop using impact/effort analysis, creating an actionable implementation plan for a redesign.
