Uprite Services provides IT services for our organization.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Uprite Services handles all our IT needs. They monitor our servers and provide tech support. For instance, if I have a glitch on my machine, I submit a service ticket, and they take over my machine and fix it. They also come in and upgrade our servers every ten years.

Moreover, Uprite Services takes care of our phone lines and provides us with a quarantine email report every month. We use them for on-site hardware installation and maintenance, too.

What is the team composition?

We usually talk to one of the technicians, but we also talk to the owner if there’s something major like a big server install. On an everyday basis, we fill out a ticket, and an IT support specialist helps us from there. Various employees work on our project, and whoever gets the ticket is free to schedule an appointment to clear up our issue.

How did you come to work with Uprite Services?

Our organization hired them before I started. My old boss converted to them many years ago, but I wasn't part of that process. Back then, they had a different name.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent between $50,000–$200,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We've been working together for over 15 years. We started working with them in September 2009, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Uprite Services is diligent in getting the problem resolved and properly getting the customer happy. They fix everything, and we always give them high ratings. Moreover, they have an emergency after-hours number. If I have an issue and have to come in on Saturday to work, they can resolve it.

How did Uprite Services perform from a project management standpoint?

Uprite Services meets deadlines and stays within budget. They're constantly checking on us, and we get email reports every morning. Every month, we also get a monthly standard bill detailing the different things they're monitoring for us. Overall, their customer service has exceeded our expectations. Their team is local, so we don’t have to call someone far away to come to our office if there’s an issue. We communicate through phone calls and emails.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

Everyone is doing a great job. We have great teammates like Brian, but I can't recall everyone's names.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The consistency of their work is impressive. We can always count on them to get the job done right.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There's nothing Uprite Services could improve on.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If you’re a new company, have Uprite Services evaluate what you currently have and see where you want to go in the future. They’ll look at everything and probably formulate a good plan for you to keep your IT moving smoothly in the future.

I’m the president of Frederick Trucking. We are a trucking carrier provider and warehouse company, and I joined the company 25-26 years ago.

Uprite Services provides our IT and networking infrastructure. They set up computers and provide backup services for IT glitches and repairs. They also build all of our systems and provide cybersecurity solutions.

Uprite Services comes on-site to troubleshoot and help us with anything related to warranties, getting things working, and correcting errors. They’ll also provide website maintenance and hosting services in the future.

What is the team composition?

I’ve worked with Jeremy, who is the supervisor, as well as Mary, James, Scott, Hector, John, and a few others. All of them have assisted me directly or have helped other people in my organization.

How did you come to work with Uprite Services?

We initially selected them based on a recommendation from one of our customers, and we've been working with them for approximately five years now.

What is the status of this engagement?

We have been working together since 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Uprite Services is very thorough in what they do. They jump on anybody’s computer to alleviate any downtime and speed up a unit's performance. They can do that remotely or come to various locations, and they make themselves available to improve the output of IT and services on a regular basis. Jeremy, Kim, James, and the others at Uprite go above and beyond to invest their time and effort, ensuring they provide the best and most up-to-date solutions possible so we can operate at our best. 

The team is great at meeting people where they are and understanding their needs. They go out of their way to explain things in a way that makes sense, setting clear expectations for what can be achieved. For example, Jeremy really excels at breaking things down so I can understand. He either resolves the issue himself or quickly gets someone else to take over and see it through to ensure the problem is solved.

How did Uprite Services perform from a project management standpoint?

Uprite Services meets goals and articulates well what they’re trying to do, demonstrating a strong understanding of the process and what needs to occur. They meet expectations and are available to correct anything that needs to be corrected as quickly as possible. We communicate via phone calls and various platforms.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

Jeremy is an all-star and my go-to person. He does a great job and puts things in layman’s terms so that I can better understand what’s going on and what needs to happen. John is another valuable asset.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m impressed with Uprite Services' commitment to resolving situations quickly and effectively. They demonstrate a willingness to do their best. I know they have other clients, but even though they are working with various companies and platforms, they make me feel valued and go out of their way to address my needs. They follow up to ensure that everything is working at an acceptable level, allowing me to perform my job efficiently.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I'm not very tech-savvy, so I’m not sure about the advanced features they could offer to improve things. But I do know they’re always suggesting solutions like cloud-based options to help with storage and speed. In terms of improvement, I think they should maintain their personable approach. 

Of course, nothing is perfect. Machines break—whether it’s a computer or an 18-wheeler, things happen. But Jeremy and his team do everything they can to resolve issues as quickly as possible with the tools they have, so we can get back to work as soon as possible.

I would advise potential customers to have a one-on-one heart-to-heart with Jeremy to see if they like what Uprite Services offers if it meets the scope of what they’re willing to do for a job, and if you’re going to be on board with their team.

Uprite Services provides cybersecurity, server management, and IT managed services. They manage all our users, ensure security standards are met, and handle server access, serving as a full-service IT provider. 

Since becoming Uprite Services, they have overseen various significant server upgrades. As part of a major update, they have managed storage, added terminal servers, and configured access. They have also implemented third-party multi-factor authentication as part of a cybersecurity project and updated our spam filters.

What is the team composition?

When I call the help line, I get tier-one service for day-to-day service. Then, there's a second level of technicians. John, who is the vCTO, and Greg, the vCIO, are at the top, and they come out and meet with us about once a year.

We came to work with Uprite Services because they bought the company we were originally working with.

We've been pleased with the server upgrade. Uprite Services’ work has met our expectations.

Uprite Services delivers work on time and communicates effectively through various channels based on my needs. For example, I can email to create a ticket, but I usually call. They have a dedicated person who always answers the phone. We also hold virtual meetings, and while we primarily work remotely, they visit on-site about once a year for an in-person meeting.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They've all done a pretty good job for me.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I wish they had a tiered ticket system. Sometimes, I have to wait a bit for them to call me back, even for urgent matters.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I advise any potential clients not to wait until the last minute to fix things that Uprite Services recommends.

I am the technology manager at a servicing organization that processes incoming tax bills and outgoing invoices for various companies. We also handle personal property taxes and protest cases for personal property taxes with assessors. Our business reach is across the US, including Alaska.

Uprite Services handles all of our network needs and phone systems. The team has supported our company for many years, and our team relies completely on internet access to reach our clientele. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our business requires us to make many phone calls and deal with assessors across the nation regarding property values, tax values, and tax issues and concerns. We use various software to process inbound tax information and put that data through another program that creates an output for mailing. Having our software and network in place is critical for our work. Uprite Services helps us ensure our technology is top-notch and of good quality. 

Uprite Services recently converted our in-house server to a cloud exchange server. We also had a necessary upgrade server, and the team was responsible for setting up the backend. During that process, we couldn't access the program for an hour, and after that time, we were back in business. Uprite Services handles our hardware needs regarding memory, processor, speed, and the required ports. The team purchases hardware when needed and maintains our servers. 

Uprite Services keeps our phone system and software licensing updated, including our Microsoft Office license. The team provides remote services and support, offering tech support via phone when needed, and we can see what they're doing. We have a domain server and website, and the team keeps up our domain license, ensuring it doesn't expire.

I work directly with 8–10 teammates, including Jeff (General Manager). 

How did you come to work with Uprite Services?

I don't know how we found Uprite Services because we've been working together for 12-14 years, and my former boss was the one who found them. He interviewed the team and was very impressed.

How much have you invested with them?

We spend around $1,000–$1,200 monthly; however, I don't handle invoices. Our monitoring fee includes the team keeping track of and managing our backup systems and flagging issues before we realize they exist. Our fee changes depending on our requirements. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We've worked together for around 12–14 years since the company had a different name.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Uprite Services does an excellent job of keeping our technology up to date, and the team has seamlessly migrated our server without downtime. For me the project's success is based on how quickly the team responds and resolves issues. Most conversations between my team and Uprite Services go through me, and I've never been disappointed with the team's response and resolution. 

All the teammates I've worked with have been outstanding. Uprite Services maintains high standards on their staff, which is acceptable for us as users because we can receive answers quickly. We've never considered working with another service provider since we engaged with Uprite Services.

How did Uprite Services perform from a project management standpoint?

Uprite Services is amazing from a project management standpoint. I can communicate with any teammate by phone and get them on the line. Uprite Services resolves our issues in a timely manner. For instance, we had a situation yesterday where we needed a quick response, and Uprite Services called us back in about 20 minutes and provided a resolution in that call. 

Our projects are defined on paper, and we don't use project management tools. We have time-oriented responsibilities and communicate via phone calls and email. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Uprite Services is distinguished for their personal approach. I call all teammates by their names, and Uprite Services deals very well personally and professionally with our staff. Some of my teammates aren't very versed in the technology and computer space, and the team is always kind at explaining things in a way my team can understand them. The team keeps us in the loop.

I can't think of any improvement opportunities for Uprite Services. The team checks all the boxes for us.

I suggest calling Uprite Services and telling them your needs. After that, you just have to sit back and be prepared for the team to meet your requirements.

Uprite Services has elevated the help we receive for computer issues to a high state of reliability. We no longer have unresolved problems with our computers and computer network. They are problem solvers. They have the staffing and knowledge to solve any I.T. problem we encounter. They also have very experienced I.T. experts who advise us on how to protect our computer network. We depend on Uprite Services a great deal.

Uprite Services typically responds within one business day or less. Often, a request is resolved within hours. If the issue needs immediate attention, Uprite Services escalates the new issue to immediate attention by a computer technician. The level of expertise of their technical staff means that problems are correctly diagnosed and resolved timely.
